4:9 你要趕緊地到我這裡來。
4:10 因為底馬貪愛現今的世界，就離棄我往帖撒羅尼迦去了；革勒士往加拉太去；提多往撻馬太去；
4:11 獨有路加在我這裡。你來的時候，要把馬可帶來，因為他在傳道（或譯：服事我）的事上於我有益處。
4:12 我已經打發推基古往以弗所去。
4:13 我在特羅亞留於加布的那件外衣，你來的時候可以帶來，那些書也要帶來，更要緊的是那些皮卷。

9 Do
your best to come to me quickly, 10 for Demas, because he loved
this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to
Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Get
Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry. 12 I
sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 When you come, bring the cloak
that I left with Carpus at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments.
14 Alexander
the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what
he has done. 15 You too should be on your guard against him,
because he strongly opposed our message.
16 At
my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it
not be held against them. 17 But the Lord stood at my side and
gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and
all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. 18 The
Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his
heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 Greet
Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus. 20 Erastus
stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus. 21 Do
your best to get here before winter. Eubulus greets you, and so do Pudens,
Linus, Claudia and all the brothers and sisters.
22 The
Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.

保羅對自己的得救是有把握，正如他在這裡所說：「惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裡被救出來。主必救我脫離諸般的凶惡，也必救我進他的天國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。」
我們若有得救的確據，我們就不會害怕，不管面對任何危險和苦難！因為我們相信上帝在耶穌基督裡的拯救大能，是永不落空！如此，我們就可以放膽來傳主的福音，與人分享福音的好處！
保羅因著盼望就能夠面對從人來的壓迫與攻擊，也不會懼怕魔鬼藉由疾病、災難、惡人的折磨！因為，相信最後的勝利是屬於耶穌基督的！上帝事必永遠得勝與掌權的！
