箴言4:10-19

4:10 我兒，你要聽受我的言語，就必延年益壽。
4:11 我已指教你走智慧的道，引導你行正直的路。
4:12 你行走，腳步必不致狹窄；你奔跑，也不致跌倒。
4:13 要持定訓誨，不可放鬆；必當謹守，因為它是你的生命。
4:14 不可行惡人的路；不要走壞人的道。
4:15 要躲避，不可經過；要轉身而去。
4:16 這等人若不行惡，不得睡覺；不使人跌倒，睡臥不安；
4:17 因為他們以奸惡吃餅，以強暴喝酒。
4:18 但義人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。
4:19 惡人的道好像幽暗，自己不知因甚麼跌倒。

¹⁰ Listen, my son, accept what I say,
    and the years of your life will be many.
¹¹ I instruct you in the way of wisdom
    and lead you along straight paths.
¹² When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;
    when you run, you will not stumble.
¹³ Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
    guard it well, for it is your life.
¹⁴ Do not set foot on the path of the wicked
    or walk in the way of evildoers.
¹⁵ Avoid it, do not travel on it;
    turn from it and go on your way.
¹⁶ For they cannot rest until they do evil;
    they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble.
¹⁷ They eat the bread of wickedness
    and drink the wine of violence.

¹⁸ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,
    shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
¹⁹ But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
    they do not know what makes them stumble.

    《箴言》作者以父親的口吻教導讀者，要留心聽他的教導。要遠離悖逆上帝的道路，要做上帝所喜悅的人。當然這兩者的差別，是在乎以上帝為生命的中心與否。

    然而人能否以上帝為中心，必須透過聖靈運用耶穌基督在十字架上所完成的代贖的大功。因為人必須被聖靈重生，才可以是一個願意順服上帝旨意的人。而聖靈的工作，就是上帝的作為，因為聖靈也是上帝。

    因此，人可以成為一個義人是上帝的恩典。若不是聖靈的動工，人心就被罪惡所蒙蔽與限制，不願意來親近上帝，在基督裡尊上帝為大。我們要為自己可以接受上帝的救恩，來感謝上帝！

箴言4: 1-9

4:1 眾子啊，要聽父親的教訓，留心得知聰明。
4:2 因我所給你們的是好教訓；不可離棄我的法則（或譯：指教）。
4:3 我在父親面前為孝子，在母親眼中為獨一的嬌兒。
4:4 父親教訓我說：你心要存記我的言語，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
4:5 要得智慧，要得聰明，不可忘記，也不可偏離我口中的言語。
4:6 不可離棄智慧，智慧就護衛你；要愛她，她就保守你。
4:7 智慧為首；所以，要得智慧。在你一切所得之內必得聰明（或譯：用你一切所得的去換聰明）。
4:8 高舉智慧，她就使你高升；懷抱智慧，她就使你尊榮。
4:9 她必將華冠加在你頭上，把榮冕交給你。

Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction;
    pay attention and gain understanding.
² I give you sound learning,
    so do not forsake my teaching.
³ For I too was a son to my father,
    still tender, and cherished by my mother.
⁴ Then he taught me, and he said to me,
    “Take hold of my words with all your heart;
    keep my commands, and you will live.
⁵ Get wisdom, get understanding;
    do not forget my words or turn away from them.
⁶ Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
    love her, and she will watch over you.
⁷ The beginning of wisdom is this: Get^[a] wisdom.
    Though it cost all you have,^[b] get understanding.
⁸ Cherish her, and she will exalt you;
    embrace her, and she will honor you.
⁹ She will give you a garland to grace your head
    and present you with a glorious crown.”

    家庭教育對猶太人而言是重要得傳統，尤其是在他們流離在各民族當中，仍然可以傳遞著他們的語言和信仰，完全是來自家庭教育。

    同樣是今日的基督徒，也要從聖經當中承繼著這樣的精神和做法。就像這裡父親對眾子的勉勵與教導，是承繼著上一代的教導和訓示，一代一代的承傳下去，舊一代一代盟上帝的恩典。

    教會中之所以強調基督教教育，也是要讓基督信仰一代傳一代，一直到耶穌基督再來的日子。我們之所以沒有看見耶穌基督，卻能然能夠信靠與愛祂，就是因為信仰的承傳。

    讓我們存著謙卑的心，在教會中好好的受造就、受裝備，然後將信仰傳遞下去，使基督真的在教會中成為王成為主。

箴言3:31-35

3:31 不可嫉妒強暴的人，也不可選擇他所行的路。
3:32 因為，乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡；正直人為他所親密。
3:33 耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭，賜福與義人的居所。
3:34 他譏誚那好譏誚的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。
3:35 智慧人必承受尊榮；愚昧人高昇也成為羞辱。

³¹ Do not envy the violent
    or choose any of their ways.

³² For the Lord detests the perverse
    but takes the upright into his confidence.
³³ The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked,
    but he blesses the home of the righteous.
³⁴ He mocks proud mockers
    but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
³⁵ The wise inherit honor,
    but fools get only shame.

    在現實的世界中，強暴的人似乎佔上風，許多人怕他們，屈服在他們的淫威之下，敢怒不敢言，一付像強者的形像，銳不可擋，似乎佔盡一切便宜，好風光啊！但是，《箴言》的作者竟然說：「不可嫉妒強暴的人，也不可選擇他所行的路。」

    為甚麼這樣說呢？因為他清楚：「乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡」；「耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭」；「他譏誚那好譏誚的人」！

    因為上帝是公義的上帝，雖然惡者一時囂張，但是上帝的作為是：「正直人為他所親密」；「賜福與義人的居所」；「賜恩給謙卑的人」。

    人若有智慧就會明白成為上帝所喜悅的人，才會有永久的幸福，蒙上帝的尊榮。要是不照上帝所喜悅得去行，就會招惹上帝的憤怒，即使是一時的風光，也毫無益處的！所以，不要去羨慕強暴的人！

箴言3:27-30

3:27 你手若有行善的力量，不可推辭，就當向那應得的人施行。
3:28 你那裡若有現成的，不可對鄰舍說：去吧，明天再來，我必給你。
3:29 你的鄰舍既在你附近安居，你不可設計害他。
3:30 人未曾加害與你，不可無故與他相爭。

²⁷ Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
    when it is in your power to act.
²⁸ Do not say to your neighbor,
    “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”—
    when you already have it with you.
²⁹ Do not plot harm against your neighbor,
    who lives trustfully near you.
³⁰ Do not accuse anyone for no reason—
    when they have done you no harm.

    《箴言》作者在這裡說道如何和鄰舍相處，除了不可吝嗇於幫助人之外，更是不可以設計害人，不可以無故與人相爭。

    當然我們要去害人是比較不可能，但是要去幫助人可能會比較困難。因為我們常常害怕給人了以後，自己就沒有了，這怎麼辦呢？也因為這樣想就會縮手不幫助人。

    就像保羅勸勉哥林多信徒說：「如經上所記：他施捨錢財，賙濟貧窮；他的仁義存到永遠。那賜種給撒種的，賜糧給人吃的，必多多加給你們種地的種子，又增添你們仁義的果子；叫你們凡事富足，可以多多施捨，就藉著我們使感謝歸於上帝。因為辦這供給的事，不但補聖徒的缺乏，而且叫許多人越發感謝上帝。」（哥林多前書9:9-12）

    所以慷慨助人的必蒙上帝大大的賜福！
