婦人對以利亞說：「現在我知道你是神人，耶和華藉你口所說的話是真的。」
Then
the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the
word of the Lord from your mouth
is the truth.”

婦人對以利亞說這句話，是因為感受到上帝藉由以利亞拯救她的兒子脫離死亡！
雖然要人起死回生是不可能的，但是以利亞勇敢的禱告了3次！或許不只3 次，但是以利亞堅定的祈求：「耶和華─我的上帝啊，求你使這孩子的生命回到他！」(Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!)
求主幫助我們有堅定的信心來祈求如同以利亞！也求主藉著我們來彰顯祂的榮耀之作為！
18:22 以利亞對眾民說：「作耶和華先知的只剩下我一個人；巴力的先知卻有四百五十個人。
18:23 當給我們兩隻牛犢，巴力的先知可以挑選一隻，切成塊子，放在柴上，不要點火；我也預備一隻牛犢放在柴上，也不點火。
18:24 你們求告你們神的名，我也求告耶和華的名。那降火顯應的上帝，就是上帝。」眾民回答說：「這話甚好。」
22 Then Elijah said to them, “I am the only one of the Lord’s prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets. 23 Get two bulls for us. Let Baal’s prophets choose one for themselves, and let them cut it into pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. 24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers by fire—he is God.”
Then all the people said, “What you say is good.”

以利亞的宣告，雖然讓人覺得勢單力薄，但是有上帝什麼都不怕！
耶和華的先知雖然只有一人，巴力先知卻有450人；然而耶和華是真正的上帝，巴力是人想像出來的假神；也因此真正有力量的是耶和華，巴力只是一個虛無的影像，是無法與上帝比較的！
今日的基督徒也要有這樣的確認，只有上帝才是真實，不要一些虛幌的勢力所欺騙而喪膽。就像先知以利亞靠主堅立，就不怕巴力虛謊的勢力，最後還靠主得勝！
8:37 「國中若有饑荒、瘟疫、旱風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，或有仇敵犯境圍困城邑，無論遭遇甚麼災禍疾病，
8:38 你的民以色列，或是眾人，或是一人，自覺有罪（原文是災），向這殿舉手，無論祈求甚麼，禱告甚麼，
8:39 求你在天上你的居所垂聽赦免。你是知道人心的，要照各人所行的待他們（惟有你知道世人的心），
8:40 使他們在你賜給我們列祖之地上一生一世敬畏你。
37 “When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, 38 and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel—being aware of the afflictions of their own hearts, and spreading out their hands toward this temple— 39 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive and act; deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts (for you alone know every human heart), 40 so that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our ancestors.

所羅門王在獻殿的時候，求上帝能夠應允來聖殿禱告的人，尤其是來認罪的人！因為人心剛硬，通常不會自己覺得有罪；需要遇到在難時，人才會反省、才會認罪。
當然所羅門王也清楚上帝的心意，是希望以色列人會敬畏上帝！所以，他勇敢向上帝說：「求你在天上你的居所垂聽赦免。你是知道人心的，要照各人所行的待他們（惟有你知道世人的心），使他們在你賜給我們列祖之地上一生一世敬畏你。」
因此，我們存敬畏的心，向上帝認罪悔改，我們就必享受上帝所賜的福！而上帝拯救我們，就是要我們敬拜祂，將榮耀歸給祂，使上帝的心得滿足。

22:52 他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的事。
22:53 他照他父親一切所行的，事奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和華─以色列上帝的怒氣。
51 Ahaziah son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years. 52 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, because he followed the ways of his father and mother and of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin. 53 He served and worshiped Baal and aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, just as his father had done.

以色列王亞哈謝行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的事。是壞王！
