出埃及記32:30-35

32:30 到了第二天，摩西對百姓說：「你們犯了大罪。我如今要上耶和華那裡去，或者可以為你們贖罪。」
32:31 摩西回到耶和華那裡，說：「唉！這百姓犯了大罪，為自己做了金像。
32:32 倘或你肯赦免他們的罪……不然，求你從你所寫的冊上塗抹我的名。」
32:33 耶和華對摩西說：「誰得罪我，我就從我的冊上塗抹誰的名。
32:34 現在你去領這百姓，往我所告訴你的地方去，我的使者必在你前面引路；只是到我追討的日子，我必追討他們的罪。」
32:35 耶和華殺百姓的緣故是因他們同亞倫做了牛犢

³⁰ The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

³¹ So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. ³² But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.”

³³ The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. ³⁴ Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.”

³⁵ And the Lord struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

    摩西相信在上帝那裡有一本生命冊，只要名字記載在上面的必得救，所以他向上帝說：「唉！這百姓犯了大罪，為自己做了金像。倘或你肯赦免他們的罪……不然，求你從你所寫的冊上塗抹我的名。」

    但是上帝回答得更有意思：「誰得罪我，我就從我的冊上塗抹誰的名。現在你去領這百姓，往我所告訴你的地方去，我的使者必在你前面引路；只是到我追討的日子，我必追討他們的罪。」

    可見上帝不是隨人左右的上帝，即使是有人向祂懇求，祂仍然照著祂的法則，不會有所通融，祂是永恆的上帝！

出埃及記32:17-29

32:17 約書亞一聽見百姓呼喊的聲音，就對摩西說：「在營裡有爭戰的聲音。」
32:18 摩西說：「這不是人打勝仗的聲音，也不是人打敗仗的聲音，我所聽見的乃是人歌唱的聲音。」
32:19 摩西挨近營前就看見牛犢，又看見人跳舞，便發烈怒，把兩塊版扔在山下摔碎了，
32:20 又將他們所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。
32:21 摩西對亞倫說：「這百姓向你做了甚麼？你竟使他們陷在大罪裡！」
32:22 亞倫說：「求我主不要發烈怒。這百姓專於作惡，是你知道的。
32:23 他們對我說：『你為我們做神像，可以在我們前面引路；因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西，我們不知道他遭了甚麼事。』
32:24 我對他們說：『凡有金環的可以摘下來』，他們就給了我。我把金環扔在火中，這牛犢便出來了。」
32:25 摩西見百姓放肆（亞倫縱容他們，使他們在仇敵中間被譏刺），
32:26 就站在營門中，說：「凡屬耶和華的，都要到我這裡來！」於是利未的子孫都到他那裡聚集。
32:27 他對他們說：「耶和華─以色列的上帝這樣說：『你們各人把刀跨在腰間，在營中往來，從這門到那門，各人殺他的弟兄與同伴並鄰舍。』」
32:28 利未的子孫照摩西的話行了。那一天百姓中被殺的約有三千。
32:29 摩西說：「今天你們要自潔，歸耶和華為聖，各人攻擊他的兒子和弟兄，使耶和華賜福與你們。」

¹⁷ When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp.”

¹⁸ Moses replied:

“It is not the sound of victory,
    it is not the sound of defeat;
    it is the sound of singing that I hear.”

¹⁹ When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. ²⁰ And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.

²¹ He said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?”
²² “Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered. “You know how prone these people are to evil. ²³ They said to me, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.’ ²⁴ So I told them, ‘Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.’ Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!”
²⁵ Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies. ²⁶ So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, “Whoever is for the Lord, come to me.” And all the Levites rallied to him.
²⁷ Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’” ²⁸ The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. ²⁹ Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.”

    罪惡是要付出代價的，上帝必定追討的！上帝透過利未人來執行祂的做為，在那一天殺死了約三千人。也因為這樣，上帝揀選利未人成為祂的祭司，侍立在祂面前來服事。

    其實成為基督徒要像當時的利未人一樣，寧可得罪人仍然要討上帝的喜悅，因為我們要加入耶和華的軍隊，回應摩西的呼召：「凡屬耶和華的，都要到我這裡來」！並且要「要自潔，歸耶和華為聖」！

    因為耶穌基督已經將我們從世界中分別出來了，他的寶血洗靜我們一切的罪汙了，我們豈可仍然在罪中生活？仍可享受罪中之樂嗎？我們要得應許的永生福樂！

出埃及記32:9-16

32:9 耶和華對摩西說：「我看這百姓真是硬著頸項的百姓。
32:10 你且由著我，我要向他們發烈怒，將他們滅絕，使你的後裔成為大國。」
32:11 摩西便懇求耶和華─他的上帝說：「耶和華啊，你為甚麼向你的百姓發烈怒呢？這百姓是你用大力和大能的手從埃及地領出來的。
32:12 為甚麼使埃及人議論說『他領他們出去，是要降禍與他們，把他們殺在山中，將他們從地上除滅』？求你轉意，不發你的烈怒，後悔，不降禍與你的百姓。
32:13 求你記念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列。你曾指著自己起誓說：『我必使你們的後裔像天上的星那樣多，並且我所應許的這全地，必給你們的後裔，他們要永遠承受為業。』」
32:14 於是耶和華後悔，不把所說的禍降與他的百姓。
32:15 摩西轉身下山，手裡拿著兩塊法版。這版是兩面寫的，這面那面都有字，
32:16 是上帝的工作，字是上帝寫的，刻在版上。

⁹ “I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses, “and they are a stiff-necked people. ¹⁰ Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”
¹¹ But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God. “Lord,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? ¹² Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. ¹³ Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’” ¹⁴ Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.
¹⁵ Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. ¹⁶ The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

    摩西知道上帝非常痛惡以色列人的悖逆，但是他清楚上帝和以色列的祖先力永遠的約，所以向上帝求：「求你記念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列。你曾指著自己起誓說：『我必使你們的後裔像天上的星那樣多，並且我所應許的這全地，必給你們的後裔，他們要永遠承受為業。』」

    上帝喜悅摩西這樣的禱告，祂的反應是：「於是耶和華後悔，不把所說的禍降與他的百姓。」

    可見禱告不是求自己的好處，是要照上帝的應許和啟示來禱告，使上帝真正的旨意可以成就！這就是摩西常常在上帝面前為百姓禱告，使上帝息怒，沒有照祂的怒氣成就！

    其實主耶穌的禱告，比摩西更蒙上帝的喜悅，祂不僅是在上帝面前以中保的地位代求，更以十字架的贖價來使上帝喜悅，好讓人與上帝和好！

出埃及記32:1-8

32:1 百姓見摩西遲延不下山，就大家聚集到亞倫那裡，對他說：「起來！為我們做神像，可以在我們前面引路；因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西，我們不知道他遭了甚麼事。」
32:2 亞倫對他們說：「你們去摘下你們妻子、兒女耳上的金環，拿來給我。」
32:3 百姓就都摘下他們耳上的金環，拿來給亞倫。
32:4 亞倫從他們手裡接過來，鑄了一隻牛犢，用雕刻的器具做成。他們就說：「以色列啊，這是領你出埃及地的上帝。」
32:5 亞倫看見，就在牛犢面前築壇，且宣告說：「明日要向耶和華守節。」
32:6 次日清早，百姓起來獻燔祭和平安祭，就坐下吃喝，起來玩耍。
32:7 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「下去吧，因為你的百姓，就是你從埃及地領出來的，已經敗壞了。
32:8 他們快快偏離了我所吩咐的道，為自己鑄了一隻牛犢，向它下拜獻祭，說：『以色列啊，這就是領你出埃及地的神。』」

When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods^[a] who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”

² Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” ³ So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. ⁴ He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods,^[b] Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
⁵ When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” ⁶ So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
 ⁷ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. ⁸ They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’

    在以色列人的反應中看到罪性的特質，就是不願意等候，喜歡用自己的意念來行事。摩西在山上一久，這些人就耐不住，用自己的想法來鑄造一隻金牛犢來敬拜，並且隨這迦南人的風俗來崇拜，正如聖經在這裡所說：「百姓起來獻燔祭和平安祭，就坐下吃喝，起來玩耍。」

    而從以色列人的失敗中，讓我們感受到，等候上帝對基督徒的生命是十分重要！我們寧可清楚上帝的旨意才來進行，等一下又何妨呢？總比任意妄為得罪上帝來得好！

    這也告訴我們，不要急著看見什麼成果，建立什麼成就，這些都不是我們要著急的，我們要期盼得是上帝的旨意成就，讓上帝的榮耀同在，而不是彰顯我們自己！
