哥林多後書6:14-18
14 不要跟不信的人同負一軛。正和邪怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？ 15 基督和魔鬼怎能協調呢？信和不信的人有甚麼共同的地方呢？ 16 上帝的聖殿和偶像怎能並立呢？我們是永生上帝的聖殿。正如上帝說：我要與我的子民同住，在他們當中往來。我要作他們的上帝；他們要作我的子民。 17 因此主說：你們要離開他們，從他們當中分離出來。不要沾染不潔之物，我就接納你們。 18 我要作你們的父親；你們要作我的兒女。這話是我─全能的主說的。

Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers
14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[a]? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[b]
17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."[c]
18"I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."[d]

這是一個很嚴束而且實在之問題，「基督徒」和「非基督徒」是無法「和平」相處的，因為「正和邪怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？基督和魔鬼怎能協調呢？信和不信的人有甚麼共同的地方呢？」
所以，夫妻信仰不同，婚姻是無法幸福美滿。家中成員信仰不同，必定吵鬧不休。基督徒若做到不令人討厭，是不可能的。所以，基督徒在非基督徒中必定被排擠。這些事情臨到我們，不要以為奇怪！
而且主也要求我們要過分別為聖之生活，『你們要離開他們，從他們當中分離出來。不要沾染不潔之物，我就接納你們。我要作你們的父親；你們要作我的兒女。這話是我─全能的主說的。』
基督徒活在世上是基督耶穌的見證人，是要向世人宣告與傳揚基督，要勇敢活出基督，所以要活出「聖潔」，這是上帝給我們之使命！
