民數記13:1-33

13:1 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
13:2 「你打發人去窺探我所賜給以色列人的迦南地，他們每支派中要打發一個人，都要作首領的。」
13:3 摩西就照耶和華的吩咐從巴蘭的曠野打發他們去；他們都是以色列人的族長。
13:4 他們的名字：屬流便支派的有撒刻的兒子沙母亞。
13:5 屬西緬支派的有何利的兒子沙法。
13:6 屬猶大支派的有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒。
13:7 屬以薩迦支派的有約色的兒子以迦。
13:8 屬以法蓮支派的有嫩的兒子何希阿。
13:9 屬便雅憫支派的有拉孚的兒子帕提。
13:10 屬西布倫支派的有梭底的兒子迦疊。
13:11 約瑟的子孫，屬瑪拿西支派的有穌西的兒子迦底。
13:12 屬但支派的有基瑪利的兒子亞米利。
13:13 屬亞設支派的有米迦勒的兒子西帖。
13:14 屬拿弗他利支派的有縛西的兒子拿比。
13:15 屬迦得支派的有瑪基的兒子臼利。
13:16 這就是摩西所打發、窺探那地之人的名字。摩西就稱嫩的兒子何希阿為約書亞。
13:17 摩西打發他們去窺探迦南地，說：「你們從南地上山地去，
13:18 看那地如何，其中所住的民是強是弱，是多是少，
13:19 所住之處是好是歹，所住之處是營盤是堅城。
13:20 又看那地土是肥美是瘠薄，其中有樹木沒有。你們要放開膽量，把那地的果子帶些來。」（那時正是葡萄初熟的時候。）
13:21 他們上去窺探那地，從尋的曠野到利合，直到哈馬口。
13:22 他們從南地上去，到了希伯崙；在那裡有亞衲族人亞希幔、示篩、撻買。（原來希伯崙城被建造比埃及的鎖安城早七年。）
13:23 他們到了以實各谷，從那裡砍了葡萄樹的一枝，上頭有一掛葡萄，兩個人用槓抬著，又帶了些石榴和無花果來。
13:24 （因為以色列人從那裡砍來的那掛葡萄，所以那地方叫做以實各谷。）
13:25 過了四十天，他們窺探那地才回來，
13:26 到了巴蘭曠野的加低斯，見摩西、亞倫，並以色列的全會眾，回報摩西、亞倫，並全會眾，又把那地的果子給他們看；
13:27 又告訴摩西說：「我們到了你所打發我們去的那地，果然是流奶與蜜之地；這就是那地的果子。
13:28 然而住那地的民強壯，城邑也堅固寬大，並且我們在那裡看見了亞衲族的人。
13:29 亞瑪力人住在南地；赫人、耶布斯人、亞摩利人住在山地；迦南人住在海邊並約旦河旁。」
13:30 迦勒在摩西面前安撫百姓，說：「我們立刻上去得那地吧！我們足能得勝。」
13:31 但那些和他同去的人說：「我們不能上去攻擊那民，因為他們比我們強壯。」
13:32 探子中有人論到所窺探之地，向以色列人報惡信，說：「我們所窺探、經過之地是吞吃居民之地，我們在那裡所看見的人民都身量高大。
13:33 我們在那裡看見亞衲族人，就是偉人；他們是偉人的後裔。據我們看，自己就如蚱蜢一樣；據他們看，我們也是如此。」

 The Lord said to Moses, ² “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.”

³ So at the Lord’s command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites. ⁴ These are their names:

from the tribe of Reuben, Shammua son of Zakkur;

⁵ from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat son of Hori;

⁶ from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

⁷ from the tribe of Issachar, Igal son of Joseph;

⁸ from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Nun;

⁹ from the tribe of Benjamin, Palti son of Raphu;

¹⁰ from the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel son of Sodi;

¹¹ from the tribe of Manasseh (a tribe of Joseph), Gaddi son of Susi;

¹² from the tribe of Dan, Ammiel son of Gemalli;

¹³ from the tribe of Asher, Sethur son of Michael;

¹⁴ from the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi son of Vophsi;

¹⁵ from the tribe of Gad, Geuel son of Maki.

¹⁶ These are the names of the men Moses sent to explore the land. (Moses gave Hoshea son of Nun the name Joshua.)

¹⁷ When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, “Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. ¹⁸ See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. ¹⁹ What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? ²⁰ How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.” (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.)

²¹ So they went up and explored the land from the Desert of Zin as far as Rehob, toward Lebo Hamath. ²² They went up through the Negev and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, lived. (Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) ²³ When they reached the Valley of Eshkol,^[a] they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs. ²⁴ That place was called the Valley of Eshkol because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there. ²⁵ At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land.

²⁶ They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. ²⁷ They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. ²⁸ But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. ²⁹ The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”

³⁰ Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

³¹ But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” ³² And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. ³³ We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

    每次思想到這個事件時，讓人覺得民主若沒有上帝的啟示是盲目且危險的！就像這十二個探子，都覺得迦南美地是很好的地方，正如上帝藉著摩西所宣告的：流奶與蜜之地！

    他們「從那裡砍了葡萄樹的一枝，上頭有一掛葡萄，兩個人用槓抬著，又帶了些石榴和無花果來」。讓人看了，好生羨慕，卻又不敢相信上帝的應許，總要找一些不信的理由，就宣告惡信：「我們所窺探、經過之地是吞吃居民之地，我們在那裡所看見的人民都身量高大。我們在那裡看見亞衲族人，就是偉人；他們是偉人的後裔。據我們看，自己就如蚱蜢一樣；據他們看，我們也是如此。」

    其實，這也是我們軟弱之處，我們總覺得上帝的救恩的確是那麼美好，卻不願意用信心去領受，總是以不信的心來拒絕，以至於遲遲無法享受到上帝的救恩！然而上帝並不因此放棄我們，仍然差遣聖靈在我們心中，一步一步啟示，使我們的信心堅固！

    這樣的經歷讓我們知道信仰不是一下子完成，是聖靈在我們心中一步一步動工，讓我們的生命日日更新、天天進步，越來越有上帝兒子耶穌基督的形象和樣式！

約翰福音12:34-43

12:34 眾人回答說：「我們聽見律法上有話說，基督是永存的，你怎麼說：『人子必須被舉起來』呢？這人子是誰呢？」

12:35 耶穌對他們說：「光在你們中間還有不多的時候，應當趁著有光行走，免得黑暗臨到你們；那在黑暗裏行走的，不知道往何處去，

12:36 你們應當趁著有光，信從這光，使你們成為光明之子。」耶穌說了這話，就離開他們，隱藏了。

12:37 他雖然在他們面前行了許多神蹟，他們還是不信他，

12:38 這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，說：「主啊，我們所傳的有誰信呢？主的膀臂向誰顯露呢？」

12:39 他們所以不能信，因為以賽亞又說：

12:40 「主叫他們瞎了眼，硬了心；免得他們眼睛看見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。」

12:41 以賽亞因為看見他的榮耀，就指著他說這話，

12:42 雖然如此，官長中卻有好些信他的；只因法利賽人的緣故，就不承認，恐怕被趕出會堂。

12:43 這是因他們愛人的榮耀，過於愛神的榮耀。

    先知以賽亞曾感嘆說︰「主啊，我們所傳的有誰信呢？主的膀臂向誰顯露呢？」「主叫他們瞎了眼，硬了心；免得他們眼睛看見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。」

    這也是許多人傳福音的感想，明明是這樣美好有盼望之福音，我們再怎麼樣努力傳，信的人就是那麼一點點，另人氣餒，先知以賽亞的話，就回盪在心中。但是使徒約翰的話卻蠻有意思的，『雖然如此，官長中卻有好些信他的；只因法利賽人的緣故，就不承認，恐怕被趕出會堂。這是因他們愛人的榮耀，過於愛上帝的榮耀。』

    很多人其實很想接受耶穌基督為救主，卻是被人情事故所纏絆，愛人的榮耀，過於愛上帝的榮耀，所以無法下定決心。

    希伯來書之作者說：『我們既有這許多的見證人，如同雲彩圍著我們，就當放下各樣的重擔，脫去容易纏累我們的罪，存心忍耐，奔那擺在我們前頭的路程，

仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌（或譯：仰望那將真道創始成終的耶穌）；他因那擺在前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架的苦難，便坐在上帝寶座的右邊。』（希伯來書12章1-2節）

    是的，我們不要“愛人的榮耀，過於愛上帝的榮耀”。這是屬靈生命之非常重要之原則！

詩篇103:20-21

03:20 聽從他命令，成全他旨意，有大能的天使，都要稱頌耶和華！
103:21 你們作他的諸軍，作他的僕役，行他所喜悅的，都要稱頌耶和華！

Bless the Lord, O you his angels,

you mighty ones who do his word,

obeying the voice of his word!

Bless the Lord, all his hosts,

his ministers, who do his will!

    『稱頌耶和華！』

    這是詩人對天使的呼籲，表示以色列人相信有天使。然而基督徒通常比較不提到天使。因為信仰的中心放在耶穌基督，就對天使的尊敬不像以色列人一般，加上啟示錄中描述：天使也禁止人敬拜他們。

    然而天使有一項重大的工作，就是敬拜上帝。所以，我們禮拜不只是人的敬拜，也有天使的參與。而且現在的敬拜是在將來在主面前的預演，因此敬拜視我們對將來的預習。

詩篇103:8-13

103:8 耶和華有憐憫，有恩典，不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛。
103:9 他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。
103:10 他沒有按我們的罪過待我們，也沒有照我們的罪孽報應我們。
103:11 天離地何等的高，他的慈愛向敬畏他的人也是何等的大！
103:12 東離西有多遠，他叫我們的過犯離我們也有多遠！
103:13 父親怎樣憐恤他的兒女，耶和華也怎樣憐恤敬畏他的人！

The Lord is merciful and gracious,

slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

He will not always chide,

nor will he keep his anger forever.

He does not deal with us according to our sins,

nor repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,

so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

As a father shows compassion to his children,

so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

    說到上帝的慈愛對信靠耶穌基督的人而言是真實可靠的，即使生活上有許多讓我們不愉快、不舒服，感到有壓力的事情，我們也不會否定耶和華的慈愛，而且還會拿耶和華的慈愛來激勵自己和別人。

    可是對於不信的人，或是剛剛在認識這信仰的人，耶和華的慈愛對祂們而言似乎有些距離。有些人沒有工作、欠債、生活有所缺、沒有親人的幫忙、…，尋求教會或基督徒協助時，好像沒有及時幫助，對他們而言：耶和華是慈愛的嗎？

    這也好像是我們關懷人之兩難，我們覺得不可以一頭栽下去，難道他們不用為自己的事負責任麼？他們不能自立自強嗎？我們可以扶持他們，但是我們不可代替他們處理他們困境。我們不可以為了他們能信主就不斷付出，這樣會誤導他們，讓他們信主是因為我們的行動，而不是真正認識上帝的愛。

    或許我這樣的說法好像很「自私」，但是記住我們可以鼓勵人、陪伴人，但我們不能替他們還債，因為這樣反而讓我們成為他的「債主」，這是不好的關係，也是有問題的關係，更是阻礙他們認識耶和華是慈愛的上帝。

    好像扯太遠，但是這是教會常常會遇到的問題，讓我們多多討論吧！願上帝給我們智慧處理。

詩篇 103:1-5

1 （ 大 衛 的 詩 。 ） 我 的 心 哪 ， 你 要 稱 頌 耶 和 華 ！ 凡 在 我 裡 面 的 ，也 要 稱 頌 他 的 聖 名 ！
 2 我 的 心 哪 ， 你 要 稱 頌 耶 和 華 ！ 不 可 忘 記 他 的 一 切 恩 惠 ！
 3 他 赦 免 你 的 一 切 罪 孽 ， 醫 治 你 的 一 切 疾 病 。
 4 他 救 贖 你 的 命 脫 離 死 亡 ， 以 仁 愛 和 慈 悲 為 你 的 冠 冕 。
 5 他 用 美 物 使 你 所 願 的 得 以 知 足 ， 以 致 你 如 鷹 返 老 還 童 。

    這首詩歌是大衛感恩的詩，述說上帝對屬乎祂的人之作為，讓每個聽到或讀到這段話的人無不思念上帝是何等的愛我們，祝福我們！

    所以大衛對著自己的靈魂說：『我 的 心 哪 ， 你 要 稱 頌 耶 和 華 ！ 凡 在 我 裡 面 的 ， 也 要 稱 頌 他 的 聖 名 ！我 的 心 哪 ， 你 要 稱 頌耶 和 華 ！ 不 可 忘 記 他 的 一 切 恩 惠 ！ 』

    多少時候，當困難和災禍臨到我們，我們在急難中呼求耶和華上帝時，祂都施行拯救，加添能力，使我們安然渡過，心中更加肯定上帝之慈愛，也堅定我們信靠的心。

    更可貴的是，為了主動解決上帝與人以及人與人之關係，差遣祂的愛子耶穌基督，道成肉身住在人中間，活出人該有的生命樣式，又成為永遠的贖罪祭，承受人罪惡該受之懲罰，在十字架上徹底的死了，以死敗壞死亡，第三日從死裡復活，帶領我們出死入生，升天坐在上帝右邊為我們代求，又賜下聖靈天天讓我們經歷祂的救恩，使我們的生命一天新似一天，並為我們預備永生之福，將來承受上帝國之榮耀！

    讓我們一同加入讚美之行列中，我們思想之此心中充滿喜樂與頌揚，我們是何等的人，竟蒙此恩愛！

詩篇25:10-22

25:10 凡遵守他的約和他法度的人，耶和華都以慈愛誠實待他。
25:11 耶和華啊，求你因你的名赦免我的罪，因為我的罪重大。
25:12 誰敬畏耶和華，耶和華必指示他當選擇的道路。
25:13 他必安然居住；他的後裔必承受地土。
25:14 耶和華與敬畏他的人親密；他必將自己的約指示他們。
25:15 我的眼目時常仰望耶和華，因為他必將我的腳從網裡拉出來。
25:16 求你轉向我，憐恤我，因為我是孤獨困苦。
25:17 我心裡的愁苦甚多，求你救我脫離我的禍患。
25:18 求你看顧我的困苦，我的艱難，赦免我一切的罪。
25:19 求你察看我的仇敵，因為他們人多，並且痛痛地恨我。
25:20 求你保護我的性命，搭救我，使我不致羞愧，因為我投靠你。
25:21 願純全、正直保守我，因為我等候你。
25:22 上帝啊，求你救贖以色列脫離他一切的愁苦。

¹⁰ All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful
    toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
¹¹ For the sake of your name, Lord,
    forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

¹² Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?
    He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.^[b]
13 They will spend their days in prosperity,
    and their descendants will inherit the land.
¹⁴ The Lord confides in those who fear him;
    he makes his covenant known to them.
¹⁵ My eyes are ever on the Lord,
    for only he will release my feet from the snare.

¹⁶ Turn to me and be gracious to me,
    for I am lonely and afflicted.
¹⁷ Relieve the troubles of my heart
    and free me from my anguish.
¹⁸ Look on my affliction and my distress
    and take away all my sins.
¹⁹ See how numerous are my enemies
    and how fiercely they hate me!

²⁰ Guard my life and rescue me;
    do not let me be put to shame,
    for I take refuge in you.
²¹ May integrity and uprightness protect me,
    because my hope, Lord,^[c] is in you.

²² Deliver Israel, O God,
    from all their troubles!

    詩人相信上帝是信實的，祂的應許必不落空，所以勇敢的宣告：「誰敬畏耶和華，耶和華必指示他當選擇的道路。他必安然居住；他的後裔必承受地土。耶和華與敬畏他的人親密；他必將自己的約指示他們。」

    也因此詩人可以勇敢向上帝求：「求你轉向我，憐恤我，因為我是孤獨困苦。 我心裡的愁苦甚多，求你救我脫離我的禍患。求你看顧我的困苦，我的艱難，赦免我一切的罪。求你察看我的仇敵，因為他們人多，並且痛痛地恨我。求你保護我的性命，搭救我，使我不致羞愧，因為我投靠你。願純全、正直保守我，因為我等候你。上帝啊，求你救贖以色列脫離他一切的愁苦。」

    這些禱告，讓我們想起保羅在腓立比書所說的：「應當一無掛慮，只要凡事藉著禱告、祈求，和感謝，將你們所要的告訴上帝。上帝所賜、出人意外的平安必在基督耶穌裡保守你們的心懷意念。」（4:6-7）

詩篇25:4-9

25:4 耶和華啊，求你將你的道指示我，將你的路教訓我！
25:5 求你以你的真理引導我，教訓我，因為你是救我的上帝。我終日等候你。
25:6 耶和華啊，求你記念你的憐憫和慈愛，因為這是亙古以來所常有的。
25:7 求你不要記念我幼年的罪愆和我的過犯；耶和華啊，求你因你的恩惠，按你的慈愛記念我。
25:8 耶和華是良善正直的，所以他必指示罪人走正路。
25:9 他必按公平引領謙卑人，將他的道教訓他們。

⁴ Show me your ways, Lord,
    teach me your paths.
⁵ Guide me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are God my Savior,
    and my hope is in you all day long.
⁶ Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
    for they are from of old.
⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth
    and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
    for you, Lord, are good.

⁸ Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
⁹ He guides the humble in what is right
    and teaches them his way.

    上帝必用恩典來引導屬乎祂的人！正如詩人在這裡所說：「耶和華啊，求你將你的道指示我，將你的路教訓我！求你以你的真理引導我，教訓我，因為你是救我的上帝。我終日等候你。」

    也因為這樣詩人向上帝禱告：「耶和華啊，求你記念你的憐憫和慈愛，因為這是亙古以來所常有的。求你不要記念我幼年的罪愆和我的過犯；耶和華啊，求你因你的恩惠，按你的慈愛記念我。」

    詩人相信上帝必定垂聽他的禱告，使他的生命得著更新，所以勇敢的見證：「耶和華是良善正直的，所以他必指示罪人走正路。他必按公平引領謙卑人，將他的道教訓他們。」

    讓我們也如同詩人所宣告的一樣，去經歷上帝的救恩，並且見證上帝大能的作為！
