阿摩司書2:6-8

2:6 耶和華如此說：以色列人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他們的刑罰；因他們為銀子賣了義人，為一雙鞋賣了窮人。

2:7 他們見窮人頭上所蒙的灰也都垂涎，阻礙謙卑人的道路。父子同一個女子行淫，褻瀆我的聖名。

2:8 他們在各壇旁鋪人所當的衣服，臥在其上，又在他們神的廟中喝受罰之人的酒。

Thus says the Lord:

 "For three transgressions of Israel,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,

because they sell the righteous for silver,

and the needy for a pair of sandals—

those who trample the head of the poor into the dust of the earth

and turn aside the way of the afflicted;

 a man and his father go in to the same girl,

so that my holy name is profaned;

they lay themselves down beside every altar

on garments taken in pledge,

and in the house of their God they drink

the wine of those who have been fined.

    以色列進入迦南地之後，受到迦南人的風俗影響，敬拜儀式中有的殺嬰、有的與廟妓交合。這些都是上帝所恨惡的，因為這些的儀式都是要祈求滿足個人的慾望，都是以自我為中心，這與人的罪性需求沒兩樣。換句話說，這樣宗教無法改變人的生命，反人讓人需求無度、道德淪喪！

    這也讓我們知道信仰的對象，會造成我們是怎樣的生命品質。這也讓我們感受，到正確的信仰很重要，不僅是得不救的問題，更是每天生活行事，甚至生命品質之問題。

    所以，基督徒的生活見證，也是彰顯上帝榮耀重要的方式。因為人真正行善的力量來自聖靈，如《韋斯敏斯德公認信條》第16章第3節說：「信徒行善的能力絕不是出於自己，乃完全由於基督的靈。信徒為要達到行善的地步，在已經領受的諸般恩典之外，還需要此同一聖靈的實際影響在他們裡頭活動，叫他們立志行善，成就他的美意。然而他們不可因此疏懈，以為除非受聖靈的特別感動，就無需任何本分﹔反倒應當慇勤，激發上帝在他們裡面的恩典。」

阿摩司書2章

阿摩司書2:4-5

2:4 耶和華如此說：猶大人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他們的刑罰；因為他們厭棄耶和華的訓誨，不遵守他的律例。他們列祖所隨從虛假的偶像使他們走迷了。

2:5 我卻要降火在猶大，燒滅耶路撒冷的宮殿。

Thus says the Lord:      

“For three transgressions of Judah,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,

because they have rejected the law of the Lord,

and have not kept his statutes,

but their lies have led them astray,

those after which their fathers walked.

  So I will send a fire upon Judah,

and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.”

    說到「偶像」，就是以別神代替耶和華，這個下場如何呢？詩篇16篇說：「以別神代替耶和華的（或譯：送禮物給別神的），他們的愁苦必加增！」

    因為以別神代替耶和華，就是與耶和華耶和華隔離，所以他們的表現是：厭棄耶和華的訓誨，不遵守祂的律例。這就是最的表現。

    然而我們喜愛耶和華的訓誨，遵守祂的律例，的動力是來自聖靈。因此，人必須重生才會有追求靈性成長的動力，要離棄偶像並歸向上帝。故此，人不是靠自己來成聖，要靠聖靈才可以成聖，才會尊主耶穌為大、為至高！

阿摩司書2:1-3

2:1 耶和華如此說：摩押三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罰；因為她將以東王的骸骨焚燒成灰。

2:2 我卻要降火在摩押，燒滅加略的宮殿。摩押必在鬨嚷吶喊吹角之中死亡。

2:3 我必剪除摩押中的審判者，將其中的一切首領和他一同殺戮。這是耶和華說的。

Thus says the Lord:

 "For three transgressions of Moab,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,

because he burned to lime

the bones of the king of Edom.

So I will send a fire upon Moab,

and it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth,

and Moab shall die amid uproar,

amid shouting and the sound of the trumpet;

I will cut off the ruler from its midst,

and will kill all its princes with him,"

says the Lord.

    「審判者」和「首領」是非常有影響力的人，但是這些人也是帶領人離開上帝的主要人物，因為他們常常以為自己是上帝的代表，就自以為是上帝，就把人帶離開上帝，以致使人犯罪！

    也因此，上帝就追討這些人的罪，並且將他們自生命的源頭斷絕，以至於他的作為就如沒有接上電源的電風扇，雖然還能動，終必停止！終必滅亡！

   所以我們要靠主耶穌重新連上生命之源頭，離棄罪惡，才能享受真正的永生！我們倚靠主耶穌，勝過倚靠「審判者」和「首領」！

阿摩司書1:6-15

1:6 耶和華如此說：迦薩三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罰；因為她擄掠眾民交給以東。
1:7 我卻要降火在迦薩的城內，燒滅其中的宮殿。
1:8 我必剪除亞實突的居民和亞實基倫掌權的，也必反手攻擊以革倫。非利士人所餘剩的必都滅亡。這是主耶和華說的。
1:9 耶和華如此說：泰爾三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罰；因為她將眾民交給以東，並不記念弟兄的盟約。
1:10 我卻要降火在泰爾的城內，燒滅其中的宮殿。
1:11 耶和華如此說：以東三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罰；因為她拿刀追趕兄弟，毫無憐憫，發怒撕裂，永懷忿怒。
1:12 我卻要降火在提幔，燒滅波斯拉的宮殿。
1:13 耶和華如此說：亞捫人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他們的刑罰；因為他們剖開基列的孕婦，擴張自己的境界。
1:14 我卻要在爭戰吶喊的日子，旋風狂暴的時候，點火在拉巴的城內，燒滅其中的宮殿。
1:15 他們的王和首領必一同被擄去。這是耶和華說的。

This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Gaza,
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because she took captive whole communities
    and sold them to Edom,
⁷ I will send fire on the walls of Gaza
    that will consume her fortresses.
⁸ I will destroy the king^[a] of Ashdod
    and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon.
I will turn my hand against Ekron,
    till the last of the Philistines are dead,”
says the Sovereign Lord.

⁹ This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Tyre,
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom,
    disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,
¹⁰ I will send fire on the walls of Tyre
    that will consume her fortresses.”

¹¹ This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Edom,
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he pursued his brother with a sword
    and slaughtered the women of the land,
because his anger raged continually
    and his fury flamed unchecked,
¹² I will send fire on Teman
    that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah.”

¹³ This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Ammon,
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead
    in order to extend his borders,
¹⁴ I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah
    that will consume her fortresses
amid war cries on the day of battle,
    amid violent winds on a stormy day.
¹⁵ Her king^[b] will go into exile,
    he and his officials together,”
says the Lord.

    從這段經文看見罪的影響力是充滿在列邦中，這也是人真實的狀況，所以人無法與上帝有正確和合宜的關係。

    也因此上帝主動解決自己與他所愛的人的關係，透過他的愛子耶穌基督的作為，與人建立正確和合宜的關係，並且收納在基督裡的人成為她的兒女，並且要與基督同享勝利的榮耀。

    因此，上帝既然讓我們透過耶穌基督，得以進入上帝的家，我們理當單單倚靠祂的大能作為，不要再嘗試用自己的方法。我們若不倚靠主耶穌，就是藐視祂，這更是得罪上帝。
