10:1 耶和華對摩西說：「你進去見法老。我使他和他臣僕的心剛硬，為要在他們中間顯我這些神蹟，
10:2 並要叫你將我向埃及人所做的事，和在他們中間所行的神蹟，傳於你兒子和你孫子的耳中，好叫你們知道我是耶和華。」
10:3 摩西、亞倫就進去見法老，對他說：「耶和華─希伯來人的上帝這樣說：『你在我面前不肯自卑要到幾時呢？容我的百姓去，好事奉我。
10:4 你若不肯容我的百姓去，明天我要使蝗蟲進入你的境內，
10:5 遮滿地面，甚至看不見地，並且吃那冰雹所剩的和田間所長的一切樹木。
10:6 你的宮殿和你眾臣僕的房屋，並一切埃及人的房屋，都要被蝗蟲佔滿了；自從你祖宗和你祖宗的祖宗在世以來，直到今日，沒有見過這樣的災。』」摩西就轉身離開法老出去。
10:7 法老的臣僕對法老說：「這人為我們的網羅要到幾時呢？容這些人去事奉耶和華─他們的上帝吧！埃及已經敗壞了，你還不知道嗎？」
10:8 於是摩西、亞倫被召回來見法老；法老對他們說：「你們去事奉耶和華─你們的上帝；但那要去的是誰呢？」
10:9 摩西說：「我們要和我們老的少的、兒子女兒同去，且把羊群牛群一同帶去，因為我們務要向耶和華守節。」
10:10 法老對他們說：「我容你們和你們婦人孩子去的時候，耶和華與你們同在吧！你們要謹慎；因為有禍在你們眼前（或譯：你們存著惡意），
10:11 不可都去！你們這壯年人去事奉耶和華吧，因為這是你們所求的。」於是把他們從法老面前攆出去。
10:12 耶和華對摩西說：「你向埃及地伸杖，使蝗蟲到埃及地上來，吃地上一切的菜蔬，就是冰雹所剩的。」
10:13 摩西就向埃及地伸杖，那一晝一夜，耶和華使東風颳在埃及地上；到了早晨，東風把蝗蟲颳了來。
10:14 蝗蟲上來，落在埃及的四境，甚是厲害；以前沒有這樣的，以後也必沒有。
10:15 因為這蝗蟲遮滿地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬和冰雹所剩樹上的果子。埃及遍地，無論是樹木，是田間的菜蔬，連一點青的也沒有留下。
10:16 於是法老急忙召了摩西、亞倫來，說：「我得罪耶和華─你們的上帝，又得罪了你們。
10:17 現在求你，只這一次，饒恕我的罪，求耶和華─你們的上帝使我脫離這一次的死亡。」
10:18 摩西就離開法老去求耶和華。
10:19 耶和華轉了極大的西風，把蝗蟲颳起，吹入紅海；在埃及的四境連一個也沒有留下。
10:20 但耶和華使法老的心剛硬，不容以色列人去。
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened
his heart and the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these signs of
mine among them 2 that you may tell your children and grandchildren
how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them,
and that you may know that I am the Lord.”
3 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, “This is what
the Lord, the God of
the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let
my people go, so that they may worship me. 4 If you
refuse to let them go, I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow.
5 They will cover the
face of the ground so that it cannot be seen. They will devour what little you
have left after the hail, including every tree that is growing in your fields.
6 They will fill your
houses and those of all your officials and all the Egyptians—something neither
your parents nor your ancestors have ever seen from the day they settled in
this land till now.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh.
7 Pharaoh’s officials said to him, “How long will this man be a snare
to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is
ruined?”
8 Then Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. “Go, worship the Lord your God,” he said. “But tell me who will be
going.”
9 Moses answered, “We will go with our young and our old, with our
sons and our daughters, and with our flocks and herds, because we are to
celebrate a festival to the Lord.”
10 Pharaoh said, “The Lord be with you—if I let you go, along with your women and children!
Clearly you are bent on evil.[a] 11 No! Have only the men go and
worship the Lord, since that’s what you have been asking for.” Then Moses and Aaron
were driven out of Pharaoh’s presence.
12 And the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over Egypt so that locusts
swarm over the land and devour everything growing in the fields, everything
left by the hail.”
13 So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that
day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts; 14 they
invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great
numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts, nor will there
ever be again. 15 They
covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured all that was left
after the hail—everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees.
Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt.
16 Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “I have sinned
against the Lord your God and against you. 17 Now forgive my sin once more
and pray to the Lord your God to take this deadly plague away from me.”
18 Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord. 19 And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the
locusts and carried them into the Red Sea.[b] Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt.
20 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go.

法老對於上帝不是敬畏的心，對於上帝的僕人摩西和亞倫更不是尊重的心！他面對上帝，只是希望災禍不要在一件件的發生，好讓一切的破壞能夠停止，正如法老的臣僕對法老說：「這人為我們的網羅要到幾時呢？容這些人去事奉耶和華─他們的上帝吧！埃及已經敗壞了，你還不知道嗎？」
許多時候人尋求耶和華上帝，也是出於這樣的心態，不是真正要敬拜上帝，而是要災禍過去！而這樣的人內心充滿紛亂，沒有真正的平安，因為罪一直在他們的心中攪擾，讓他們一直活在上帝的憤怒中，他們也是用外表的怒氣來彰顯自己，正如上帝透過摩西向法老所說：「你在我面前不肯自卑要到幾時呢？」
求主幫助我們，讓我們能真正在上帝面前自卑，願意存敬畏的心，來愛祂、仰望祂、倚靠祂，讓基督的救恩臨到我們，享受真正的平安！願聖靈引導我們，在基督裡尊上帝為大，尊重與憐憫我們身邊的每一個人！
