雖然篇幅很長，也敘述了許多的事情，但是我們卻看見了苦難中的希望是在乎上帝！因為上帝所應許的永生之福必定實現，苦難只是暫時性的！一切的苦難終將過去，最終的勝利是屬乎上帝和祂的子民。
正如耶穌基督在十字架上受苦，以至於死！死了之後，被放在墳墓中，好像一點生機都沒有。甚至和祂朝夕相處的門徒，雖然聽祂說到死後第三天要復活，真正臨到的時候，似乎忘記了祂的話。除了少數的婦女依照傳統，拿藥去抹耶穌的身體，才發現耶穌的復活。向門徒報告時，他們的反應是不信！
然而上帝卻讓耶穌從死人中復活：不管門徒信不信；也不管法利賽人和撒督該人如何捏造謠言！上帝就是讓兩天默默地過去，天地照樣運行。在第三天，上帝勝過死亡了，帶給屬耶穌基督的人永遠的福樂！而將來得榮耀的盼望更是支持著在各樣考驗中的門徒，存著盼望等候耶穌基督的再來！
