以西結書1:1-3
1:1 當三十年四月初五日，以西結（原文是我）在迦巴魯河邊被擄的人中，天就開了，得見上帝的異象。
1:2 正是約雅斤王被擄去第五年四月初五日，
1:3 在迦勒底人之地、迦巴魯河邊，耶和華的話特特臨到布西的兒子祭司以西結；耶和華的靈（原文是手）降在他身上。
1 In the thirtieth year, in the fourth
month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by the Chebar
canal, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. 2 On the fifth day of
the month (it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin), 3 the word
of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the
Chaldeans by the Chebar canal, and the hand of the Lord was upon him there.

以西結書是寫於被擄時期，正如以西結在這裡所說明的，「在迦巴魯河邊被擄的人中，天就開了，得見上帝的異象」。而以西結是祭司、是布西的兒子。所以成為先知並沒有特定的行業或角色，重要是要明白上帝的靈是否臨到。
在舊約時代就有聖靈的工作，在新約時代依然有聖靈的工作，尤其是這個時代的工作是讓我們認識基督，並且順服基督，尊基督為主！而不是以說預言、方言或醫病與趕鬼為主要的。因為現在是末世，是要預備迎接基督耶穌的再來，也要防範假先知與假基督，因為除了主耶穌以外沒有別的基督，沒有別的先知！雖然教會有基督的功能性，但沒有個人可以被稱為基督，被稱為先知。
讓我們在這末世，好好守住聖經的啟示，因為這是上帝與人之間唯一的橋樑，也是聖靈所使用唯一上帝的話，聖靈不會在聖經之外給我們其他的啟示，甚至我們所傳講的信息，都要本於聖經！

哥林多前書15:58
所以，我親愛的弟兄們，你們務要堅固，不可搖動，常常竭力多做主工；因為知道，你們的勞苦在主裡面不是徒然的。
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be
steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in
the Lord your labor is not in vain.

這裡保羅告訴我們：「你們的勞苦在主裡面不是徒然的！」也就是說，我們要放心將自己投入在基督裡的工作，就是建立教會。因為，主耶穌的復活是我們最大的保障，因著祂的復活，我們也有一日要復活，這就是主的工作。祂要保守我們到底，也保守我們在基督裡所做的一切到永遠。正如我們領一個人到教會，他在基督裡的永生，哪我們坐在其身上的工，也就存到永遠！
所以保羅勸勉弟兄姊妹：「你們務要堅固，不可搖動，常常竭力多做主工！」而這裡的「常常竭力多做主工」也可以翻譯成「常常在主的工作之豐富中」，因為要不是主豐富的工作，我們是無法得永生的！
既然是主的復活大能在我們生命做工，我們當然是要「堅固」、「不可搖動」，因為上帝的工在我們身上或藉由我們臨到弟兄姊妹身上的，都不會落空，都不會失去，要存到永遠，正是因為上帝的信實，必定會成就的事！
但以理書12:5-13
12:5 我─但以理觀看，見另有兩個人站立：一個在河這邊，一個在河那邊。
12:6 有一個問那站在河水以上、穿細麻衣的說：「這奇異的事到幾時才應驗呢？」
12:7 我聽見那站在河水以上、穿細麻衣的，向天舉起左右手，指著活到永遠的主起誓說：「要到一載、二載、半載，打破聖民權力的時候，這一切事就都應驗了。」
12:8 我聽見這話，卻不明白，就說：「我主啊，這些事的結局是怎樣呢？」
12:9 他說：「但以理啊，你只管去；因為這話已經隱藏封閉，直到末時。
12:10 必有許多人使自己清淨潔白，且被熬煉；但惡人仍必行惡，一切惡人都不明白，惟獨智慧人能明白。
12:11 從除掉常獻的燔祭，並設立那行毀壞可憎之物的時候，必有一千二百九十日。
12:12 等到一千三百三十五日的，那人便為有福。
12:13 「你且去等候結局，因為你必安歇。到了末期，你必起來，享受你的福分。」
Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two
others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on that bank of the
stream. And someone said to the man
clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “How long shall it be
till the end of these wonders?” And I
heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he
raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who
lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that
when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these
things would be finished. I heard, but I
did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these
things?” He said, “Go your way, Daniel,
for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make
themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of
the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. And from the time that the regular burnt
offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there
shall be 1,290 days. Blessed is he who
waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. But
go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted
place

這是最後的異象，天使談論異象應驗的時間，並要但以理去安息等候末期。預言重點不是像算命一樣，要人預先明白一切的細節。而是要人得著激勵與安慰，在熬煉中堅持清淨潔白，終究可以明白預言背後的意義（靠自己親身體驗）。
整卷但以理書的主題就是「上帝在歷史的表象背後掌管一切，而且將贏得 最後勝利」。但以理書提到的由尼布甲尼撒到安提阿哥四世這些君主，都想靠自己的力量建立不朽或重要的帝國，但卻彼此牽制消長。上帝雖然沒有直接介入，但卻在歷史背後掌握至高的主權並引導歷史的發展，即使是罪惡悖逆的行為也能被上帝化為祝福。上帝從來都沒有對這個世界失去控制，從過去到永遠都是如此。
也因為有如此的認識，我們不害怕任何暴政或獨裁、甚至是敵基督的勢力，因為這一切都將過去，世上的一切到主耶穌再來時，都要更新！一切的惡勢力都要過去，惟有上帝的國永遠長存，我們只管遵行並實踐上帝國的公義，以盼望的心來向主呼求：「阿們！主耶穌啊，我願你來！」

但以理書12:1-4
12:1 那時，保佑你本國之民的天使長（原文是大君）米迦勒必站起來，並且有大艱難，從有國以來直到此時，沒有這樣的。你本國的民中，凡名錄在冊上的，必得拯救。
12:2 睡在塵埃中的，必有多人復醒。其中有得永生的，有受羞辱永遠被憎惡的。
12:3 智慧人必發光，如同天上的光；那使多人歸義的，必發光如星，直到永永遠遠。
12:4 但以理啊，你要隱藏這話，封閉這書，直到末時。必有多人來往奔跑（或譯：切心研究），知識就必增長。」
1 "At that time shall arise Michael,
the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of
trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at
that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found
written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth
shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting
contempt. 3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky
above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and
ever. 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of
the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

末世將有大患難發生，名字在生命冊上的要得到拯救與永生。但天使要但以理隱藏封閉這信息。
「那時」是指安提阿哥四世逼迫猶太人或者是耶穌再來前夕。「大艱難」是指的應該是末世的大災難，正如主耶穌所說的。雖然如此，但是上帝總會拯救一些人，就是名字登記在生命冊中的人，也在此分別了得永生和得滅亡的人，這是上帝的主權，人是無法說什麼的！
然而這裡也特別提到「智慧人」，有如天上的星辰，使多人歸義。但智慧人不一定明白一切，因為異象被封閉，即使汲汲營營去追求，還是一場空。不過智慧人的敬虔生活態度：以上帝為中心，而不是以知識或其他事物為中心的態度，反倒是「智慧」的表現。
願上帝使我們成為真的「智慧人」！
