約伯記16:1-22
16:1 約伯回答說：
16:2 這樣的話我聽了許多；你們安慰人，反叫人愁煩。
16:3 虛空的言語有窮盡嗎？有甚麼話惹動你回答呢？
16:4 我也能說你們那樣的話；你們若處在我的境遇，我也會聯絡言語攻擊你們，又能向你們搖頭。
16:5 但我必用口堅固你們，用嘴消解你們的憂愁。
16:6 我雖說話，憂愁仍不得消解；我雖停住不說，憂愁就離開我嗎？
16:7 但現在上帝使我困倦，使親友遠離我，
16:8 又抓住我，作見證攻擊我；我身體的枯瘦也當面見證我的不是。
16:9 主發怒撕裂我，逼迫我，向我切齒；我的敵人怒目看我。
16:10 他們向我開口，打我的臉羞辱我，聚會攻擊我。
16:11 上帝把我交給不敬虔的人，把我扔到惡人的手中。
16:12 我素來安逸，他折斷我，掐住我的頸項，把我摔碎，又立我為他的箭靶子。
16:13 他的弓箭手四面圍繞我；他破裂我的肺腑，並不留情，把我的膽傾倒在地上，
16:14 將我破裂又破裂，如同勇士向我直闖。
16:15 我縫麻布在我皮膚上，把我的角放在塵土中。
16:16 我的臉因哭泣發紫，在我的眼皮上有死蔭。
16:17 我的手中卻無強暴；我的祈禱也是清潔。
16:18 地啊，不要遮蓋我的血！不要阻擋我的哀求！
16:19 現今，在天有我的見證，在上有我的中保。
16:20 我的朋友譏誚我，我卻向上帝眼淚汪汪。
16:21 願人得與上帝辯白，如同人與朋友辯白一樣；
16:22 因為再過幾年，我必走那往而不返之路。
Then Job replied:
2 “I
have heard many things like these;
you are miserable comforters, all of you!
3 Will your long-winded speeches never end?
What ails you that you keep on arguing?
4 I also could speak like you,
if you were in my place;
I could make fine speeches against you
and shake my head at you.
5 But my mouth would encourage you;
comfort from my lips would bring you relief.
6 “Yet
if I speak, my pain is not relieved;
and if I refrain, it does not go away.
7 Surely, God, you have worn me out;
you have devastated my entire household.
8 You have shriveled me up—and it has become a witness;
my gauntness rises up and testifies against me.
9 God assails me and tears me in his anger
and gnashes his teeth at me;
my opponent fastens on me his piercing eyes.
10 People open their mouths to jeer at me;
they strike my cheek in scorn
and unite together against me.
11 God has turned me over to the ungodly
and thrown me into the clutches of the wicked.
12 All was well with me, but he shattered me;
he seized me by the neck and crushed me.
He has made me his target;
13 his archers surround me.
Without pity, he pierces my kidneys
and spills my gall on the ground.
14 Again and again he bursts upon me;
he rushes at me like a warrior.
15 “I
have sewed sackcloth over my skin
and buried my brow in the dust.
16 My face is red with weeping,
dark shadows ring my eyes;
17 yet my hands have been free of violence
and my prayer is pure.
18 “Earth,
do not cover my blood;
may my cry never be laid to rest!
19 Even now my witness is in heaven;
my advocate is on high.
20 My intercessor is my friend[a]
as my eyes pour out tears to God;
21 on behalf of a man he pleads with God
as one pleads for a friend.
22 “Only
a few years will pass
before I take the path of no return.

約伯回應得好實在：「這樣的話我聽了許多；你們安慰人，反叫人愁煩。虛空的言語有窮盡嗎？有甚麼話惹動你回答呢？我也能說你們那樣的話；你們若處在我的境遇，我也會聯絡言語攻擊你們，又能向你們搖頭。但我必用口堅固你們，用嘴消解你們的憂愁。」
約伯的三個朋友忘記自己來探訪約伯的目的是甚麼，也忘記約伯真正的處境是怎樣，竟然和約伯爭吵，在那裏議論約伯和他的家人多麼不義，他們多麼有智慧、多麼討上帝的喜悅，真的很奇怪呢！
其實很多自以為是的人真多呢！還有人宣稱：「上帝用苦難來家增祂的兒女的「神性」，所以我們受苦受難都是上帝的賜福！」
你能接受這樣的論調嗎？當然一看就覺得是異端，請問人有「神性」嗎？當然沒有！我們使用任何神學名詞都要小心，不要自己高興怎樣說就怎樣說，這是對教義的混亂，是混亂教會的行為，豈可不小心呢！

撒母耳記下3:1-39
3:1 掃羅家和大衛家爭戰許久。大衛家日見強盛；掃羅家日見衰弱。
3:2 大衛在希伯崙得了幾個兒子：長子暗嫩是耶斯列人亞希暖所生的；
3:3 次子基利押（在歷代上三章一節作但以利）是作過迦密人拿八的妻亞比該所生的；三子押沙龍是基述王達買的女兒瑪迦所生的；
3:4 四子亞多尼雅是哈及所生的；五子示法提雅是亞比她所生的；
3:5 六子以特念是大衛的妻以格拉所生的。大衛這六個兒子都是在希伯崙生的。
3:6 掃羅家和大衛家爭戰的時候，押尼珥在掃羅家大有權勢。
3:7 掃羅有一妃嬪，名叫利斯巴，是愛亞的女兒。一日，伊施波設對押尼珥說：「你為甚麼與我父的妃嬪同房呢？」
3:8 押尼珥因伊施波設的話就甚發怒，說：「我豈是猶大的狗頭呢？我恩待你父掃羅的家和他的弟兄、朋友，不將你交在大衛手裡，今日你竟為這婦人責備我嗎？
3:9 我若不照著耶和華起誓應許大衛的話行，廢去掃羅的位，建立大衛的位，使他治理以色列和猶大，從但直到別是巴，願上帝重重地降罰與我！」
3:10 【併於上節】
3:11 伊施波設懼怕押尼珥，不敢回答一句。
3:12 押尼珥打發人去見大衛，替他說：「這國歸誰呢？」又說：「你與我立約，我必幫助你，使以色列人都歸服你。」
3:13 大衛說：「好！我與你立約。但有一件，你來見我面的時候，若不將掃羅的女兒米甲帶來，必不得見我的面。」
3:14 大衛就打發人去見掃羅的兒子伊施波設，說：「你要將我的妻米甲歸還我；她是我從前用一百非利士人的陽皮所聘定的。」
3:15 伊施波設就打發人去，將米甲從拉億的兒子、她丈夫帕鐵那裡接回來。
3:16 米甲的丈夫跟著她，一面走一面哭，直跟到巴戶琳。押尼珥說：「你回去吧！」帕鐵就回去了。
3:17 押尼珥對以色列長老說：「從前你們願意大衛作王治理你們，
3:18 現在你們可以照心願而行。因為耶和華曾論到大衛說：『我必藉我僕人大衛的手，救我民以色列脫離非利士人和眾仇敵的手。』」
3:19 押尼珥也用這話說給便雅憫人聽，又到希伯崙，將以色列人和便雅憫全家一切所喜悅的事說給大衛聽。
3:20 押尼珥帶著二十個人來到希伯崙見大衛，大衛就為押尼珥和他帶來的人設擺筵席。
3:21 押尼珥對大衛說：「我要起身去招聚以色列眾人來見我主我王，與你立約，你就可以照著心願作王。」於是大衛送押尼珥去，押尼珥就平平安安地去了。
3:22 約押和大衛的僕人攻擊敵軍，帶回許多的掠物。那時押尼珥不在希伯崙大衛那裡，因大衛已經送他去，他也平平安安地去了。
3:23 約押和跟隨他的全軍到了，就有人告訴約押說：「尼珥的兒子押尼珥來見王，王送他去，他也平平安安地去了。」
3:24 約押去見王說：「你這是做甚麼呢？押尼珥來見你，你為何送他去，他就蹤影不見了呢？
3:25 你當曉得，尼珥的兒子押尼珥來是要誆哄你，要知道你的出入和你一切所行的事。」
3:26 約押從大衛那裡出來，就打發人去追趕押尼珥，在西拉井追上他，將他帶回來，大衛卻不知道。
3:27 押尼珥回到希伯崙，約押領他到城門的甕洞，假作要與他說機密話，就在那裡刺透他的肚腹，他便死了。這是報殺他兄弟亞撒黑的仇。
3:28 大衛聽見了，就說：「流尼珥的兒子押尼珥的血，這罪在耶和華面前必永不歸我和我的國。
3:29 願流他血的罪歸到約押頭上和他父的全家；又願約押家不斷有患漏症的，長大痲瘋的，架柺而行的，被刀殺死的，缺乏飲食的。」
3:30 約押和他兄弟亞比篩殺了押尼珥，是因押尼珥在基遍爭戰的時候殺了他們的兄弟亞撒黑。
3:31 大衛吩咐約押和跟隨他的眾人說：「你們當撕裂衣服，腰束麻布，在押尼珥棺前哀哭。」大衛王也跟在棺後。
3:32 他們將押尼珥葬在希伯崙。王在押尼珥的墓旁放聲而哭，眾民也都哭了。
3:33 王為押尼珥舉哀，說：押尼珥何竟像愚頑人死呢？
3:34 你手未曾捆綁，腳未曾鎖住。你死，如人死在罪孽之輩手下一樣。於是眾民又為押尼珥哀哭。
3:35 日頭未落的時候，眾民來勸大衛吃飯，但大衛起誓說：「我若在日頭未落以前吃飯，或吃別物，願上帝重重地降罰與我！」
3:36 眾民知道了就都喜悅。凡王所行的，眾民無不喜悅。
3:37 那日，以色列眾民才知道殺尼珥的兒子押尼珥並非出於王意。
3:38 王對臣僕說：「你們豈不知今日以色列人中死了一個作元帥的大丈夫嗎？
3:39 我雖然受膏為王，今日還是軟弱；這洗魯雅的兩個兒子比我剛強。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡報應他。」
The war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time. David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
2 Sons were born to David in Hebron:
His firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam of Jezreel;
3 his second, Kileab the son of Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel;
the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
4 the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
5 and the sixth, Ithream the son of David’s wife Eglah.
These were born to David in Hebron.
Abner Goes Over to David
6 During the war between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner had been strengthening his own position in the house of Saul. 7 Now Saul had had a concubine named Rizpah daughter of Aiah. And Ish-Bosheth said to Abner, “Why did you sleep with my father’s concubine?”
8 Abner was very angry because of what Ish-Bosheth said. So he answered, “Am I a dog’s head—on Judah’s side? This very day I am loyal to the house of your father Saul and to his family and friends. I haven’t handed you over to David. Yet now you accuse me of an offense involving this woman! 9 May God deal with Abner, be it ever so severely, if I do not do for David what the Lord promised him on oath 10 and transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and establish David’s throne over Israel and Judah from Dan to Beersheba.” 11 Ish-Bosheth did not dare to say another word to Abner, because he was afraid of him.
12 Then Abner sent messengers on his behalf to say to David, “Whose land is it? Make an agreement with me, and I will help you bring all Israel over to you.”
13 “Good,” said David. “I will make an agreement with you. But I demand one thing of you: Do not come into my presence unless you bring Michal daughter of Saul when you come to see me.” 14 Then David sent messengers to Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, demanding, “Give me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself for the price of a hundred Philistine foreskins.”
15 So Ish-Bosheth gave orders and had her taken away from her husband Paltiel son of Laish. 16 Her husband, however, went with her, weeping behind her all the way to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, “Go back home!” So he went back.
17 Abner conferred with the elders of Israel and said, “For some time you have wanted to make David your king. 18 Now do it! For the Lord promised David, ‘By my servant David I will rescue my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and from the hand of all their enemies.’”
19 Abner also spoke to the Benjamites in person. Then he went to Hebron to tell David everything that Israel and the whole tribe of Benjamin wanted to do. 20 When Abner, who had twenty men with him, came to David at Hebron, David prepared a feast for him and his men. 21 Then Abner said to David, “Let me go at once and assemble all Israel for my lord the king, so that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may rule over all that your heart desires.” So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.
Joab Murders Abner
22 Just then David’s men and Joab returned from a raid and brought with them a great deal of plunder. But Abner was no longer with David in Hebron, because David had sent him away, and he had gone in peace. 23 When Joab and all the soldiers with him arrived, he was told that Abner son of Ner had come to the king and that the king had sent him away and that he had gone in peace.
24 So Joab went to the king and said, “What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why did you let him go? Now he is gone! 25 You know Abner son of Ner; he came to deceive you and observe your movements and find out everything you are doing.”
26 Joab then left David and sent messengers after Abner, and they brought him back from the cistern at Sirah. But David did not know it. 27 Now when Abner returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into an inner chamber, as if to speak with him privately. And there, to avenge the blood of his brother Asahel, Joab stabbed him in the stomach, and he died.
28 Later, when David heard about this, he said, “I and my kingdom are forever innocent before the Lord concerning the blood of Abner son of Ner. 29 May his blood fall on the head of Joab and on his whole family! May Joab’s family never be without someone who has a running sore or leprosy[a] or who leans on a crutch or who falls by the sword or who lacks food.”
30 (Joab and his brother Abishai murdered Abner because he had killed their brother Asahel in the battle at Gibeon.)
31 Then David said to Joab and all the people with him, “Tear your clothes and put on sackcloth and walk in mourning in front of Abner.” King David himself walked behind the bier. 32 They buried Abner in Hebron, and the king wept aloud at Abner’s tomb. All the people wept also.
33 The king sang this lament for Abner:
“Should
Abner have died as the lawless die?
34 Your hands were not bound,
your feet were not fettered.
You fell as one falls before the wicked.”
And all the people wept over him again.
35 Then they all came and urged David to eat something while it was still day; but David took an oath, saying, “May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if I taste bread or anything else before the sun sets!”
36 All the people took note and were pleased; indeed, everything the king did pleased them. 37 So on that day all the people there and all Israel knew that the king had no part in the murder of Abner son of Ner.
38 Then the king said to his men, “Do you not realize that a commander and a great man has fallen in Israel this day? 39 And today, though I am the anointed king, I am weak, and these sons of Zeruiah are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his evil deeds!”

大衛英雄惜英雄，雖然押尼珥是掃羅家的元帥，卻有意促成大衛為王，所以和大衛立約，大衛也很乾脆和他立約。然而約押忘不了自己的仇恨，就用計將押尼珥給殺害，讓大衛處於非常尷尬的狀態，也讓大衛不敢對這事有甚麼處置，因為大衛還是需要倚靠約押家眾兄弟幫忙打天下。
大衛在這時感慨說：「你們豈不知今日以色列人中死了一個作元帥的大丈夫嗎？我雖然受膏為王，今日還是軟弱；這洗魯雅的兩個兒子比我剛強。願耶和華照著惡人所行的惡報應他。」
大衛不能處理約押，後來卻交給兒子所羅門來處理。
在我們的生命中有許多事情事我們無能為力來處理的，即使貴為君王的大衛也是如此，因為我們本是軟弱無能，但是上帝與我們同在！正如以賽亞書41章14節說：「你這蟲雅各和你們以色列人，不要害怕！耶和華說：我必幫助你。你的救贖主就是以色列的聖者。」
