列王紀上15:1-8
15:1 尼八的兒子耶羅波安王十八年，亞比央登基作猶大王，
15:2 在耶路撒冷作王三年。他母親名叫瑪迦，是押沙龍的女兒。
15:3 亞比央行他父親在他以前所行的一切惡，他的心不像他祖大衛的心，誠誠實實地順服耶和華─他的上帝。
15:4 然而耶和華─他的上帝因大衛的緣故，仍使他在耶路撒冷有燈光，叫他兒子接續他作王，堅立耶路撒冷。
15:5 因為大衛除了赫人烏利亞那件事，都是行耶和華眼中看為正的事，一生沒有違背耶和華一切所吩咐的。
15:6 羅波安在世的日子常與耶羅波安爭戰。
15:7 亞比央其餘的事，凡他所行的，都寫在猶大列王記上。亞比央常與耶羅波安爭戰。
15:8 亞比央與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛的城裡。他兒子亞撒接續他作王。
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah became king of Judah, 2 and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother’s name was Maakah daughter of Abishalom.
3 He committed all the sins his father had done before him; his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his forefather had been. 4 Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong. 5 For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life—except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.
6 There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam throughout Abijah’s lifetime. 7 As for the other events of Abijah’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. 8 And Abijah rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David. And Asa his son succeeded him as king.

雖然後來猶大的王沒有像大衛一般敬畏上帝，但是上帝並沒有忘記祂與大衛所立的約！正如經文所說：「然而耶和華─他的上帝因大衛的緣故，仍使他在耶路撒冷有燈光，叫他兒子接續他作王，堅立耶路撒冷。」
為什麼會這樣呢？亞比央登基作猶大王，在耶路撒冷作王三年。他母親名叫瑪迦，是押沙龍的女兒。亞比央行他父親在他以前所行的一切惡，他的心不像他祖大衛的心，誠誠實實地順服耶和華─他的上帝。所以，上帝為大衛的緣故，使猶大支派仍然支持大衛家為王。
也因為這樣，「亞比央與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛的城裡。他兒子亞撒接續他作王。」
馬太福音10:34-42
10:34 「你們不要想我來是叫地上太平；我來並不是叫地上太平，乃是叫地上動刀兵。
10:35 因為我來是叫人與父親生疏，女兒與母親生疏，媳婦與婆婆生疏。
10:36 人的仇敵就是自己家裡的人。
10:37 「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；
10:38 不背著他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。
10:39 得著生命的，將要失喪生命；為我失喪生命的，將要得著生命。」
10:40 「人接待你們就是接待我；接待我就是接待那差我來的。
10:41 人因為先知的名接待先知，必得先知所得的賞賜；人因為義人的名接待義人，必得義人所得的賞賜。
10:42 無論何人，因為門徒的名，只把一杯涼水給這小子裡的一個喝，我實在告訴你們，這人不能不得賞賜。」
34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a
man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members
of his own household.’[c]
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
40 “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”

主耶穌在這裡將門徒和先知及義人並列在得賞賜行列，讓人感受到門徒是蒙上帝喜悅與接納的一群。然而這群人卻要主耶穌的緣故面對與家人和朋友發生分別的情形，使得門徒要面對與人不和平的現象。因為不是每個人都會信靠主耶穌，更會因為主耶被疏遠和厭棄！
也因為這樣主耶穌教導門徒：「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；不背著他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。得著生命的，將要失喪生命；為我失喪生命的，將要得著生命。」
也因此成為耶穌基督的門徒要計算代價，是否願意為跟隨耶穌基督甚至捨棄人間最重要的親情和友情！而這樣的捨棄，甚只到一個程度就是斷離！這是無法商量的，也因為這樣，基督徒的處境常常陷入兩難，尤其是面對不信的家人和朋友！這好像不盡人情，但是還是要勇於面對的！
或許說為了得獎賞而必須斷離賜乎很自私感覺！但是沒有這樣的決定，家人是無法得救，朋友會沉淪！因為人得救贖與獎賞的先決條件是要跟隨主耶穌、信靠祂，不然就免談！
所以，我們必須先犧牲與家人和朋友的關係來跟隨主，才能得著家人和朋友來歸向主耶穌！若是我們捨棄跟隨主耶穌，來遷就家人和朋友的感受，那家人和朋友就無法得救恩和講賞了！反而是害了家人和朋友，不是更自私嗎﹖

馬太福音10:26-33
10:26 「所以，不要怕他們；因為掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的，隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。
10:27 我在暗中告訴你們的，你們要在明處說出來；你們耳中所聽的，要在房上宣揚出來。
10:28 那殺身體、不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；惟有能把身體和靈魂都滅在地獄裡的，正要怕他。
10:29 兩個麻雀不是賣一分銀子嗎？若是你們的父不許，一個也不能掉在地上；
10:30 就是你們的頭髮也都被數過了。
10:31 所以，不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！」
10:32 「凡在人面前認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必認他；
10:33 凡在人面前不認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必不認他。」
26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[b] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

基督徒要為主名受到許多迫害，但是主告訴們門徒不要害怕，上帝仍然在眷顧！主這樣勉勵門徒：「那殺身體、不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；惟有能把身體和靈魂都滅在地獄裡的，正要怕他。兩個麻雀不是賣一分銀子嗎？若是你們的父不許，一個也不能掉在地上；就是你們的頭髮也都被數過了。所以，不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！」
主耶穌在這裡也清楚告訴我們，不可能做一個隱藏的基督徒，因為「所以，不要怕他們；因為掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的，隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。我在暗中告訴你們的，你們要在明處說出來；你們耳中所聽的，要在房上宣揚出來。」
也因為這樣，基督徒要勇敢承認自己是主耶穌的門徒，若害怕迫害不敢承認，將來得榮耀時，就無法享受到主的榮耀！主耶穌也在此警告我們：「凡在人面前認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必認他；凡在人面前不認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必不認他。」
因此，我們在世為主耶穌做見證不要害怕迫害，在怎樣的迫害，若是為主受的，主必保守、主必紀念。雖然有一天肉身會為主犧牲，但是主要保守我們的靈魂直到主耶穌再來，眾聖徒一同復活的時候！
讓我們勇敢為主奮戰吧！正如保羅練提摩太說：「你要為真道打那美好的仗，持定永生。你為此被召，也在許多見證人面前，已經作了那美好的見證。我在叫萬物生活的上帝面前，並在向本丟•彼拉多作過那美好見證的基督耶穌面前囑咐你：要守這命令，毫不玷污，無可指責，直到我們的主耶穌基督顯現。」（提摩太前書6:12-14）
