6:11 「主耶和華如此說：你當拍手頓足，說：哀哉！以色列家行這一切可憎的惡事，他們必倒在刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫之下。
6:12 在遠處的，必遭瘟疫而死；在近處的，必倒在刀劍之下；那存留被圍困的，必因饑荒而死；我必這樣在他們身上成就我怒中所定的。
6:13 他們被殺的人倒在他們祭壇四圍的偶像中，就是各高岡、各山頂、各青翠樹下、各茂密的橡樹下，乃是他們獻馨香的祭牲給一切偶像的地方。那時，他們就知道我是耶和華。
6:14 我必伸手攻擊他們，使他們的地從曠野到第伯拉他一切住處極其荒涼，他們就知道我是耶和華。」
11 Thus says the Lord God: "Clap your
hands and stamp your foot and say, Alas, because of all the evil abominations
of the house of Israel, for they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by
pestilence. 12 He who is far off shall die of pestilence, and he who is near
shall fall by the sword, and he who is left and is preserved shall die of
famine. Thus I will spend my fury upon them. 13 And you shall know that I am
the Lord, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every
high hill, on all the mountaintops, under every green tree, and under every
leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing aroma to all their idols. 14 And I
will stretch out my hand against them and make the land desolate and waste, in
all their dwelling places, from the wilderness to Riblah. Then they will know
that I am the Lord."

上帝第二次宣告要審判、清理以色列地。「拍手頓足」就是「拍手跺腳」，此處比較可能是「生氣」或「哀悼」的表現。
「刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫」，先知預言上帝要用這三種刑罰來懲罰猶大人。正如12節所說：「在遠處的，必遭瘟疫而死；在近處的，必倒在刀劍之下；那存留被圍困的，必因饑荒而死；我必這樣在他們身上成就我怒中所定的。」
上帝要在以色列人慣常敬拜偶像的地方來殺死以色列人。「各高岡、各山頂、各青翠樹下、各茂密的橡樹下」就是迦南人習慣（以色列人繼承之）敬拜生殖神的地點。
對近代人而言，「性」也是極大的問題，甚至於有些人認為「快感」、「高潮」先於「倫理」和「道德」上的要求，甚至為此悖離信仰和婚姻，使人與人之間的關係混亂，家庭結構發生動搖，造成社會許多的不安。
人應該回到上帝面前，重新調整生命該有的順序，不可悖離聖經對「性」所立下之規範，不可忘記人的一生不是滿足自己的欲求，而是要行上帝所喜悅的，來榮耀上帝，這才是人真正的尊嚴！
