耶利米書8:18-22

8:18 我有憂愁，願能自慰；我心在我裡面發昏。

8:19 聽啊，是我百姓的哀聲從極遠之地而來，說：耶和華不在錫安嗎？錫安的王不在其中麼？耶和華說：他們為甚麼以雕刻的偶像和外邦虛無的神惹我發怒呢？

8:20 麥秋已過，夏令已完，我們還未得救！

8:21 先知說：因我百姓的損傷，我也受了損傷。我哀痛，驚惶將我抓住。

8:22 在基列豈沒有乳香呢？在那裡豈沒有醫生呢？我百姓為何不得痊癒呢？

My joy is gone; grief is upon me;

my heart is sick within me.

  Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people

from the length and breadth of the land:

“Is the Lord not in Zion?

Is her King not in her?”

“Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved images

and with their foreign idols?”

  “The harvest is past, the summer is ended,

and we are not saved.”

  For the wound of the daughter of my people is my heart wounded;

I mourn, and dismay has taken hold on me.

  Is there no balm in Gilead?

Is there no physician there?

Why then has the health of the daughter of my people

not been restored?

    先知在這裡說出心中對百姓的關心，因為他憂心這些人敬拜偶像，會遭遇到上帝的憤怒，會受到上帝嚴重的管教，甚至於會受到大大的傷害！因為上帝是忌邪的上帝，祂恨惡罪惡！百姓行罪惡的事，是會因上帝的怒氣而受到傷害！

    其實，這不只是先知的哀傷，更是上帝的哀傷，祂不願意祂的百姓，因為行不義而遭受到管教。但是上帝又非得管教不可，因為上帝對祂的子民的聖潔十分看重！

    也因為如此，上帝透過耶穌基督的代贖，來接納我們這些罪惡的人，也透過讓我們因著耶穌來稱義，而來救我們脫離罪惡的綑綁，使我們可以不斷地更新，活出上帝兒女的榮耀形象！

耶利米書8:14-17

8:14 我們為何靜坐不動呢？我們當聚集，進入堅固城，在那裡靜默不言；因為耶和華─我們的上帝使我們靜默不言，又將苦膽水給我們喝，都因我們得罪了耶和華。

8:15 我們指望平安，卻得不著好處；指望痊癒的時候，不料，受了驚惶。

8:16 聽見從但那裡敵人的馬噴鼻氣，他的壯馬發嘶聲，全地就都震動；因為他們來吞滅這地和其上所有的，吞滅這城與其中的居民。

8:17 看哪，我必使毒蛇到你們中間，是不服法術的，必咬你們。這是耶和華說的。

14 Why do we sit still?

 Gather together; let us go into the fortified cities

and perish there,

for the Lord our God has doomed us to perish

and has given us poisoned water to drink,

because we have sinned against the Lord.

15 We looked for peace, but no good came;

for a time of healing, but behold, terror.

16 "The snorting of their horses is heard from Dan;

at the sound of the neighing of their stallions

 the whole land quakes.

They come and devour the land and all that fills it,

the city and those who dwell in it.

17 For behold, I am sending among you serpents,

adders that cannot be charmed,

 and they shall bite you,"

declares the Lord.

    先知的信息讓我們感受到上帝任憑惡者來攻擊他百姓，這是非常奇怪與令人不解的事！但是，這不是沒有原因的，是因為祂的百姓不遵行祂的道和不守祂的命令所造成的結果！

    這也告訴我們，上帝的管教是隨時會發生，祂為了煉淨祂的子民，常常用一些非常的手段，使祂的百姓受警戒而悔改歸向祂，使祂的百姓在管教之後，離開惡道，重新回到祂的道路上！

    同樣，上帝所愛的教會，是祂用寶血贖回的百姓，祂不會任憑不義在教會中運行，祂的大能大力如今仍在教會中，不斷地做更新的作為，使祂的百姓成為聖潔，不沾染罪污，因為教會是耶穌基督的新婦，是單單屬乎基督的！

耶利米書8:8-13

8:8 你們怎麼說：我們有智慧，耶和華的律法在我們這裡？看哪，文士的假筆舞弄虛假。

8:9 智慧人慚愧，驚惶，被擒拿；他們棄掉耶和華的話，心裡還有甚麼智慧呢？

8:10 所以我必將他們的妻子給別人，將他們的田地給別人為業；因為他們從最小的到至大的都一味地貪婪，從先知到祭司都行事虛謊。

8:11 他們輕輕忽忽地醫治我百姓的損傷，說：平安了！平安了！其實沒有平安。

8:12 他們行可憎的事知道慚愧嗎？不然，他們毫不慚愧，也不知羞恥。因此他們必在仆倒的人中仆倒；我向他們討罪的時候，他們必致跌倒。這是耶和華說的。

8:13 耶和華說：我必使他們全然滅絕；葡萄樹上必沒有葡萄，無花果樹上必沒有果子，葉子也必枯乾。我所賜給他們的，必離開他們過去。

8 "How can you say, 'We are wise,

and the law of the Lord is with us'?

But behold, the lying pen of the scribes

has made it into a lie.

9 The wise men shall be put to shame;

they shall be dismayed and taken;

behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord,

so what wisdom is in them?

10 Therefore I will give their wives to others

and their fields to conquerors,

because from the least to the greatest

everyone is greedy for unjust gain;

from prophet to priest,

everyone deals falsely.

11 They have healed the wound of my people lightly,

saying, 'Peace, peace,'

when there is no peace.

12 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination?

No, they were not at all ashamed;

they did not know how to blush.

 Therefore they shall fall among the fallen;

when I punish them, they shall be overthrown,

says the Lord.

13 When I would gather them, declares the Lord,

there are no grapes on the vine,

 nor figs on the fig tree;

 even the leaves are withered,

and what I gave them has passed away from them."

    在舊約時代有文士和智慧人，向以色列人傳講上帝的律法，和安慰百姓！這些人有可能是先知和祭司，正如今天教會的牧者一般的角色！但是這群人沒有向人將上帝的話語說明清楚，只向人說好話，盼望得到生活上的財物供應，正如耶利米先知在這裡所說：「他們從最小的到至大的都一味地貪婪，從先知到祭司都行事虛謊。他們輕輕忽忽地醫治我百姓的損傷，說：平安了！平安了！其實沒有平安。」

    這給我很大的提醒，我是不是為了生活來當牧者？我是不是為了讓人願意聘請，而不敢將真理向人說清楚呢？是不是怕得罪人，而不傳悔改的道呢？我是不是為了教會友來跟從我，而沒有教會友來跟隨耶穌督呢？這都是成為牧者要思考的，要反省的！

    上帝將祂的教會交給我們成為牧者的，我們要思考這群人是基督用寶血所買贖回來的人，我們豈可隨隨便便讓他們落在魔鬼的攻擊中呢？我們豈可讓他們再流離失所，如同無牧的羊群呢？要用上帝的話餵養他們，要如同牧人一般保護他們，才不會虧負上帝給我的使命！

耶利米書8:4-7

8:4 你要對他們說，耶和華如此說：人跌倒，不再起來嗎？人轉去，不再轉來嗎？

8:5 這耶路撒冷的民，為何恆久背道呢？他們守定詭詐，不肯回頭。

8:6 我留心聽，聽見他們說不正直的話。無人悔改惡行，說：我做的是甚麼呢？他們各人轉奔己路，如馬直闖戰場。

8:7 空中的鸛鳥知道來去的定期；斑鳩燕子與白鶴也守候當來的時令；我的百姓卻不知道耶和華的法則。

4 "You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord:

 When men fall, do they not rise again?

If one turns away, does he not return?

5 Why then has this people turned away

in perpetual backsliding?

 They hold fast to deceit;

they refuse to return.

6 I have paid attention and listened,

but they have not spoken rightly;

no man relents of his evil,

saying, 'What have I done? '

Everyone turns to his own course,

 like a horse plunging headlong into battle.

7 Even the stork in the heavens

knows her times,

and the turtledove, swallow, and crane

keep the time of their coming,

 but my people know not

the rules of the Lord.

    人被罪綑綁的結果就是：硬著心不悔改歸向上帝！這就是先知在這裡描寫由大的百姓的狀況，他們不悔改就像戰馬在戰場上折損的狀況也很慘烈，但是馬還是不顧危險衝入戰場，這件事情的確不智。猶大人背叛上帝不回頭，也一樣不智。

    然而人如何才能脫離這種狀態呢？當然需要上帝的拯救，除非上帝施恩憐憫，透過聖靈來啟示，使人看見自己的真實狀態，不然人是無法悔改來歸向上帝的，無法出死入生。

    上帝差派耶穌基督為我們死在十字架上，承擔我們的罪刑，並將祂完全的義賜給我們。但是，我們若不透過聖靈的引導，我們就無法明白祂的作為，更不會接受祂的拯救。但是我們今天能夠，就是上帝的恩典，透過聖靈來成就的！也唯有如此，我們的生命才能完全更新！這就是復活的大能了！
