耶利米書9:17-22

9:17 萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們應當思想，將善唱哀歌的婦女召來，又打發人召善哭的婦女來，

9:18 叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。

9:19 因為聽見哀聲出於錫安，說：我們怎樣敗落了！我們大大地慚愧！我們撇下地土；人也拆毀了我們的房屋。

9:20 婦女們哪，你們當聽耶和華的話，領受他口中的言語；又當教導你們的兒女舉哀，各人教導鄰舍唱哀歌。

9:21 因為死亡上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮殿；要從外邊剪除孩童，從街上剪除少年人。

9:22 你當說，耶和華如此說：人的屍首必倒在田野像糞土，又像收割的人遺落的一把禾稼，無人收取。

17 Thus says the Lord of hosts:

 "Consider, and call for the mourning women to come;

send for the skillful women to come;

18 let them make haste and raise a wailing over us,

 that our eyes may run down with tears

and our eyelids flow with water.

19 For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion:

 'How we are ruined!

We are utterly shamed,

because we have left the land,

because they have cast down our dwellings. '"

20 Hear, O women, the word of the Lord,

and let your ear receive the word of his mouth;

teach to your daughters a lament,

and each to her neighbor a dirge.

21 For death has come up into our windows;

it has entered our palaces,

 cutting off the children from the streets

and the young men from the squares.

22 Speak:"Thus declares the Lord,

 'The dead bodies of men shall fall

like dung upon the open field,

 like sheaves after the reaper,

and none shall gather them. '"

    耶利米先知深深感受到猶大國將要受到上帝大大的懲罰，所以在這裡宣告：「萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們應當思想，將善唱哀歌的婦女召來，又打發人召善哭的婦女來，叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們眼淚汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出水來。」

    這裡說到「善唱哀歌的婦女」，因為在古代近東專業哭喪是流傳甚廣的習俗，就如同台灣的民間在辦喪事的時候，可以請「孝男孝女」來幫忙哀哭！（因為在台語「孝」與「嚎」是諧音字）

    然而，先知在此說的請人來唱哀歌是非常必要的，因為在上帝懲罰猶大國時，是連能為家人、同胞哭嚎的人都沒有了！表示是如同滅族一般，幾乎沒有留下一人呢！

    這是何等慘烈的事啊！也因此，人不可硬心悖逆上帝！但是人卻是無法靠己力悔改，故此上帝才要在基督裡設立救恩，並賜下聖靈來啟示與感動人心，使人可以靠基督的恩典，真實的悔改歸向上帝！

耶利米書9:10-16

9:10 我要為山嶺哭泣悲哀，為曠野的草場揚聲哀號；因為都已乾焦，甚至無人經過。人也聽不見牲畜鳴叫，空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸都已逃去。

9:11 我必使耶路撒冷變為亂堆，為野狗的住處，也必使猶大的城邑變為荒場，無人居住。

9:12 誰是智慧人，可以明白這事？耶和華的口向誰說過，使他可以傳說？遍地為何滅亡，乾焦好像曠野，甚至無人經過呢？

9:13 耶和華說：「因為這百姓離棄我，在他們面前所設立的律法沒有遵行，也沒有聽從我的話；

9:14 只隨從自己頑梗的心行事，照他們列祖所教訓的隨從眾巴力。」

9:15 所以萬軍之耶和華─以色列的上帝如此說：「看哪，我必將茵蔯給這百姓吃，又將苦膽水給他們喝。

9:16 我要把他們散在列邦中，就是他們和他們列祖素不認識的列邦。我也要使刀劍追殺他們，直到將他們滅盡。」

“I will take up weeping and wailing for the mountains,

and a lamentation for the pastures of the wilderness,

because they are laid waste so that no one passes through,

and the lowing of cattle is not heard;

both the birds of the air and the beasts

have fled and are gone.

  I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins,

a lair of jackals,

and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation,

without inhabitant.”

  Who is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the Lord spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?  And the Lord says: “Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it,  but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.  Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed this people with bitter food, and give them poisonous water to drink.  I will scatter them among the nations whom neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.”

    先知透過預言來說明耶路撒冷受到上帝懲罰的狀態，並且宣告之所以有這樣下場的原因：「因為這百姓離棄我，在他們面前所設立的律法沒有遵行，也沒有聽從我的話；只隨從自己頑梗的心行事，照他們列祖所教訓的隨從眾巴力。」

    這也提醒我們，我們不可以隨從世人悖逆上帝，只追求自己的昌盛。因為拜巴力就是追求自己豐盛的方式。正如台灣的民間宗教，所求的是：平安、賺大錢，都是為自己的好處，不是為榮耀上帝。

    當我們越求自己的好處，就越容易失去；我們越求榮耀上帝，反而是蒙上帝賜福，這是一個很有趣的原則！也因此，我們要將自己交託上帝，來接受上帝的賜福滿滿！

耶和華是應當稱頌的！因為他照著一切所應許的賜平安給他的民以色列人，凡藉他僕人摩西應許賜福的話，一句都沒有落空。

    這是所羅門王為百姓祝福的話，更是在此宣告上帝的信實：「因為他照著一切所應許的賜平安給他的民以色列人，凡藉他僕人摩西應許賜福的話，一句都沒有落空。」

    然而在宣告上帝的信實之前，所羅門王用讚美的話做開頭，他說：「耶和華是應當稱頌的！」

    的確，我們要常常來稱頌上帝，因為祂是信實的！也因為祂的信實，使我們的信心才能有根有基！我們所信靠的上帝是真實可靠的，不是虛空無益的！也因此，我們是透過上帝的信實，才有我們的信心。這也就是說，我們的信心不是來自於我們的決心，是來自於上帝的恩賜！

    既然如此，就要將我們的信心建立在信實的上帝這樣的磐石上，而不是自己的想像或意志上，因為這些都是有限的、短暫的、會動搖的！惟有上帝是永遠不搖動的、永恆的！

耶利米書9:2-9

9:2 惟願我在曠野有行路人住宿之處，使我可以離開我的民出去；因他們都是行姦淫的，是行詭詐的一黨。

9:3 他們彎起舌頭像弓一樣，為要說謊話。他們在國中增長勢力，不是為行誠實，乃是惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。

9:4 你們各人當謹防鄰舍，不可信靠弟兄；因為弟兄盡行欺騙，鄰舍都往來讒謗人。

9:5 他們各人欺哄鄰舍，不說真話；他們教舌頭學習說謊，勞勞碌碌地作孽。

9:6 你的住處在詭詐的人中；他們因行詭詐，不肯認識我。這是耶和華說的。

9:7 所以萬軍之耶和華如此說：看哪，我要將他們鎔化熬煉；不然，我因我百姓的罪該怎樣行呢？

9:8 他們的舌頭是毒箭，說話詭詐；人與鄰舍口說和平話，心卻謀害他。

9:9 耶和華說：我豈不因這些事討他們的罪呢？豈不報復這樣的國民呢？

Oh that I had in the desert

a travelers' lodging place,

that I might leave my people

and go away from them!

For they are all adulterers,

a company of treacherous men.

  They bend their tongue like a bow;

falsehood and not truth has grown strong in the land;

for they proceed from evil to evil,

and they do not know me, declares the Lord.

  Let everyone beware of his neighbor,

and put no trust in any brother,

for every brother is a deceiver,

and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

  Everyone deceives his neighbor,

and no one speaks the truth;

they have taught their tongue to speak lies;

they weary themselves committing iniquity.

  Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit,

they refuse to know me, declares the Lord.

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts:

“Behold, I will refine them and test them,

for what else can I do, because of my people?

  Their tongue is a deadly arrow;

it speaks deceitfully;

with his mouth each speaks peace to his neighbor,

but in his heart he plans an ambush for him.

  Shall I not punish them for these things? declares the Lord,

and shall I not avenge myself

on a nation such as this?

    先知雖然是為百姓哀哭，但是他卻對他們的行徑感到厭惡！不喜歡他們行姦淫和詭詐，尤其是在這裡討論到他們的詭詐！

    這就像主耶穌既是羔羊也是獅子。羔羊是因為他為我們的罪而死，為的是要愛我們，拯救我們！而祂是獅子，是因為祂恨惡罪惡，以獅子的面向來面對魔鬼，使魔鬼不要來傷害人！

    也因為這樣，基督徒也要用這樣的原則面對人和惡者！
