耶利米書15:11-14

15:11 耶和華說：「我必要堅固你，使你得好處。災禍苦難臨到的時候，我必要使仇敵央求你。

15:12 （人豈能將銅與鐵，就是北方的鐵折斷呢？）

15:13 「我必因你在四境之內所犯的一切罪，把你的貨物財寶當掠物，白白地交給仇敵。

15:14 我也必使仇敵帶這掠物到你所不認識的地去，因我怒中起的火要將你們焚燒。」

The Lord said, “Have I not set you free for their good? Have I not pleaded for you before the enemy in the time of trouble and in the time of distress?  Can one break iron, iron from the north, and bronze?

  “Your wealth and your treasures I will give as spoil, without price, for all your sins, throughout all your territory.  I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn forever.”

    上帝這段話是安慰耶利米先知說的，尤其是12節所說：「人豈能將銅與鐵，就是北方的鐵折斷呢？」

    上帝這樣說就是要先知不要害怕那將亡的人，不要遷就他們！因為上帝要將這些悖逆的人滅亡，他們所有的一切，將要被奪去，變為無有！所以，先知要勇敢宣講上帝的話！

    今日上帝的僕人，一定要堅強，是沒有人能限制你的，上帝要你去哪裡就去哪裡，上帝要你宣講的，就勇敢的宣講，上帝是無所不能的上帝，他使我們剛強如鐵，是人無法抵擋與攻擊的！

耶利米書15:10

我的母親哪，我有禍了！因你生我作為遍地相爭相競的人。我素來沒有借貸與人，人也沒有借貸與我，人人卻都咒罵我。

Woe is me, my mother, that you bore me, a man of strife and contention to the whole land! I have not lent, nor have I borrowed, yet all of them curse me.

    耶利米先知的悲嘆，其實也是每個誠實傳講上帝話語的人的悲嘆！因為人是聽不進去上帝的話，尤其是說道人性軟弱的地方，人是不願意承認、不願意接受，更是不願意悔改的！

    然而人有許多的怒氣與怨氣是不敢對上帝發的，卻將這樣的怒氣轉向上帝的僕人，尤其是忠心傳講上帝話語的人，更是常常被列為討厭、謾罵、抵擋和攻擊的對象！

    因此，成功的牧者常常說，要隨時準備搬家與換教會！不要留戀與討好人，要對得起上帝，如此才不會愧對上帝的呼召！

耶利米書15:5-9

15:5 耶路撒冷啊，誰可憐你呢？誰為你悲傷呢？誰轉身問你的安呢？

15:6 耶和華說：你棄絕了我，轉身退後；因此我伸手攻擊你，毀壞你。我後悔甚不耐煩。

15:7 我在境內各城門口（或譯：我在這地邊界的關口），用簸箕簸了我的百姓，使他們喪掉兒女。我毀滅他們，他們仍不轉離所行的道。

15:8 他們的寡婦在我面前比海沙更多；我使滅命的午間來，攻擊少年人的母親，使痛苦驚嚇忽然臨到她身上。

15:9 生過七子的婦人力衰氣絕；尚在白晝，日頭忽落；她抱愧蒙羞。其餘的人，我必在他們敵人跟前，交與刀劍。這是耶和華說的。

​“Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem,

or who will grieve for you?

Who will turn aside

to ask about your welfare?

  You have rejected me, declares the Lord;

you keep going backward,

so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—

I am weary of relenting.

  I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork

in the gates of the land;

I have bereaved them; I have destroyed my people;

they did not turn from their ways.

  I have made their widows more in number

than the sand of the seas;

I have brought against the mothers of young men

a destroyer at noonday;

I have made anguish and terror

fall upon them suddenly.

  She who bore seven has grown feeble;

she has fainted away;

her sun went down while it was yet day;

she has been shamed and disgraced.

And the rest of them I will give to the sword

before their enemies,

declares the Lord.”

    先知這段訊息仍然是在警告猶大百姓，要他們知道上帝之所以不拯救的原因，不是上帝沒有慈愛與憐憫，而是因為他們刻意犯罪行惡，不敬畏上帝，所以上帝要施行滅族的懲罰！

    其實上帝有完全的主權，上帝要毀滅，人無權說甚麼，人只能默默承受。然而先知在此是要猶大百姓認識，自己得罪上帝是多麼深，要快快悔改，才不至於落到上帝嚴厲的懲罰！

    雖然我們的信仰是講上帝是愛，但是上帝的愛不是溺愛，上帝深深的盼望人能離開罪惡來歸向祂。在末世更是透過耶穌基督在十字架上的犧牲，為我們的罪而死，來呼召我們悔改，你願意答應這樣的呼召嗎？
