詩篇37:1-40

37:1 （大衛的詩。）不要為作惡的心懷不平，也不要向那行不義的生出嫉妒。
37:2 因為他們如草快被割下，又如青菜快要枯乾。
37:3 你當倚靠耶和華而行善，住在地上，以他的信實為糧；
37:4 又要以耶和華為樂，他就將你心裡所求的賜給你。
37:5 當將你的事交託耶和華，並倚靠他，他就必成全。
37:6 他要使你的公義如光發出，使你的公平明如正午。
37:7 你當默然倚靠耶和華，耐性等候他；不要因那道路通達的和那惡謀成就的心懷不平。
37:8 當止住怒氣，離棄忿怒；不要心懷不平，以致作惡。
37:9 因為作惡的必被剪除；惟有等候耶和華的必承受地土。
37:10 還有片時，惡人要歸於無有；你就是細察他的住處也要歸於無有。
37:11 但謙卑人必承受地土，以豐盛的平安為樂。
37:12 惡人設謀害義人，又向他咬牙。
37:13 主要笑他，因見他受罰的日子將要來到。
37:14 惡人已經弓上弦，刀出鞘，要打倒困苦窮乏的人，要殺害行動正直的人。
37:15 他們的刀必刺入自己的心；他們的弓必被折斷。
37:16 一個義人所有的雖少，強過許多惡人的富餘。
37:17 因為惡人的膀臂必被折斷；但耶和華是扶持義人。
37:18 耶和華知道完全人的日子；他們的產業要存到永遠。
37:19 他們在急難的時候不致羞愧，在饑荒的日子必得飽足。
37:20 惡人卻要滅亡。耶和華的仇敵要像羊羔的脂油（或譯：像草地的華美）；他們要消滅，要如煙消滅。
37:21 惡人借貸而不償還；義人卻恩待人，並且施捨。
37:22 蒙耶和華賜福的必承受地土；被他咒詛的必被剪除。
37:23 義人的腳步被耶和華立定；他的道路，耶和華也喜愛。
37:24 他雖失腳也不致全身仆倒，因為耶和華用手攙扶他（或譯：攙扶他的手）。
37:25 我從前年幼，現在年老，卻未見過義人被棄，也未見過他的後裔討飯。
37:26 他終日恩待人，借給人；他的後裔也蒙福！
37:27 你當離惡行善，就可永遠安居。
37:28 因為，耶和華喜愛公平，不撇棄他的聖民；他們永蒙保佑，但惡人的後裔必被剪除。
37:29 義人必承受地土，永居其上。
37:30 義人的口談論智慧；他的舌頭講說公平。
37:31 上帝的律法在他心裡；他的腳總不滑跌。
37:32 惡人窺探義人，想要殺他。
37:33 耶和華必不撇他在惡人手中；當審判的時候，也不定他的罪。
37:34 你當等候耶和華，遵守他的道，他就抬舉你，使你承受地土；惡人被剪除的時候，你必看見。
37:35 我見過惡人大有勢力，好像一根青翠樹在本土生發。
37:36 有人從那裡經過，不料，他沒有了；我也尋找他，卻尋不著。
37:37 你要細察那完全人，觀看那正直人，因為和平人有好結局。
37:38 至於犯法的人，必一同滅絕；惡人終必剪除。
37:39 但義人得救是由於耶和華；他在患難時作他們的營寨。
37:40 耶和華幫助他們，解救他們；他解救他們脫離惡人，把他們救出來，因為他們投靠他。

¹ Do not fret because of those who are evil
    or be envious of those who do wrong;
² for like the grass they will soon wither,
    like green plants they will soon die away.

³ Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
⁴ Take delight in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.

⁵ Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this:
⁶ He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.

⁷ Be still before the Lord
    and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.

⁸ Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
    do not fret—it leads only to evil.
⁹ For those who are evil will be destroyed,
    but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

¹⁰ A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
    though you look for them, they will not be found.
¹¹ But the meek will inherit the land
    and enjoy peace and prosperity.

¹² The wicked plot against the righteous
    and gnash their teeth at them;
¹³ but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
    for he knows their day is coming.

¹⁴ The wicked draw the sword
    and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
    to slay those whose ways are upright.
¹⁵ But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
    and their bows will be broken.

¹⁶ Better the little that the righteous have
    than the wealth of many wicked;
¹⁷ for the power of the wicked will be broken,
    but the Lord upholds the righteous.

¹⁸ The blameless spend their days under the Lord’s care,
    and their inheritance will endure forever.
¹⁹ In times of disaster they will not wither;
    in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.

²⁰ But the wicked will perish:
    Though the Lord’s enemies are like the flowers of the field,
    they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.

²¹ The wicked borrow and do not repay,
    but the righteous give generously;
²² those the Lord blesses will inherit the land,
    but those he curses will be destroyed.

²³ The Lord makes firm the steps
    of the one who delights in him;
²⁴ though he may stumble, he will not fall,
    for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

²⁵ I was young and now I am old,
    yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
    or their children begging bread.
²⁶ They are always generous and lend freely;
    their children will be a blessing.^[b]

²⁷ Turn from evil and do good;
    then you will dwell in the land forever.
²⁸ For the Lord loves the just
    and will not forsake his faithful ones.

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed^[c];
    the offspring of the wicked will perish.
²⁹ The righteous will inherit the land
    and dwell in it forever.

³⁰ The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
    and their tongues speak what is just.
³¹ The law of their God is in their hearts;
    their feet do not slip.

³² The wicked lie in wait for the righteous,
    intent on putting them to death;
³³ but the Lord will not leave them in the power of the wicked
    or let them be condemned when brought to trial.

³⁴ Hope in the Lord
    and keep his way.
He will exalt you to inherit the land;
    when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.

³⁵ I have seen a wicked and ruthless man
    flourishing like a luxuriant native tree,
³⁶ but he soon passed away and was no more;
    though I looked for him, he could not be found.

³⁷ Consider the blameless, observe the upright;
    a future awaits those who seek peace.^[d]
38 But all sinners will be destroyed;
    there will be no future^[e] for the wicked.

³⁹ The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
    he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
⁴⁰ The Lord helps them and delivers them;
    he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
    because they take refuge in him.

    「義人」和「惡人」差別在那裡呢？當然是在於有沒有倚靠耶和華為上帝來行善！或許有人說，人不是有能力可以行善嗎？為什麼還要倚靠上帝來行善呢？問題就是出在人根本沒有能力行善，卻又愛自以為是，以自己的努力來取代倚靠上帝，以至於把事情搞砸了，還不知呢！

    既然人無法靠己力行善，就要勇敢倚靠上帝，行上帝真正喜悅的事。也因為這樣，我們必須認識到，行善和人蒙救贖一樣，都需要上帝的作為，尤其是聖靈的啟示和賜力量。人若是有能力可以行善，當將榮耀歸給上帝，不是行善的人本身很好、很棒！

    保羅也說：「我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裡造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是上帝所預備叫我們行的。」（以弗所書2:10）「聖經都是上帝所默示的（或譯：凡上帝所默示的聖經），於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，叫屬上帝的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事！」(提摩太後書3:16-17)

   

    既然一切的美善都來自上帝，讓我們靠上帝來行善吧！

申命記6章4-9節

6:4 「以色列人哪，你們要留心聽！上主是我們的上帝；惟有他是上主。
6:5 你們要全心、全情、全力愛上主─你們的上帝。
6:6 今天我向你們頒佈的誡命，你們要放在心裏，
6:7 殷勤教導你們的兒女。無論在家或出外，休息或工作，都要不斷地溫習這誡命。
6:8 你們要把這誡命繫在手上，戴在額上，
6:9 寫在家裏的門框和大門上。」

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NIV

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

    申命記是摩西晚年寫的一卷書，充滿了他一生經歷上帝之帶領後，被上帝陶冶出來的菁華，讓人在其諄諄告誡之下，再次歸回上帝的面前，以敬畏的心，領受上帝的命令，再次於聖靈的帶領下，重新立志，很適合現在（新的一年開始）來閱讀。

    這裡摩西要以色列人：『你們要全心、全情、全力愛上主─你們的上帝。』

    這段話主耶穌也用過，除了提醒試探祂的律法師，也提醒每個跟隨祂的人，要將上帝放在心中之第一位，無論做甚麼，都要以上帝為依據，為出發點，要滿足上帝的心意，討上帝之喜悅。

    而上帝與人發生關係之媒介，就是祂的話語，也就是這裡所說的『誡命』。摩西告誡以色列人：『今天我向你們頒佈的誡命，你們要放在心裏，殷勤教導你們的兒女。無論在家或出外，休息或工作，都要不斷地溫習這誡命。你們要把這誡命繫在手上，戴在額上，寫在家裏的門框和大門上。』

    這句話使我們想到，華人過年有貼門聯之習慣，其實華人基督徒也可以利用此方式來將上帝的話寫於門聯，激勵自己也幫助別人，想到主耶穌的救恩，聖靈就會大大動工，呼召主耶穌的羊，回到主耶穌的羊圈。

    當然，要全家歸主與引人歸主，首要是建立自己，先讓自己成為上帝的子民，才能為上帝所用，完成主耶穌託付之大使命：『上帝已經把天上和人間所有的權柄都賜給我了。所以，你們要去，使萬國萬民都作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗，並且教導他們遵守我所給你們的一切命令。記住！我要常與你們同在，直到世界的末日。』（馬太福音28章18-20節）

    保羅也勉勵我們：『人如果自潔，脫離一切邪惡的事，就能夠被主所器重；因為他已獻給主，為主所重用，來做各樣善事。』（提摩太後書2章21節）

    讓我們立志：「心中的第一位是上帝，接受耶穌基督之救恩，順從聖靈引導，遵行上帝的命令，天天祈禱與讀聖經，使我成為敬畏上帝的基督徒，好隨時見證主，引人歸主！」

申命記32:4

他是磐石，他的作為完全；他所行的無不公平，是誠實無偽的　神，又公義，又正直。

The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

    在此摩西向以色列宣告耶和華上帝是怎樣的一位上帝。

    『他是磐石』，這句話的意義是說：上帝是永不改變，如同磐石一般堅固，我們可以勇敢將一生交託給上帝，不管環境如何，心中相信上帝的應許必定成就。

    『他的作為完全』，這句話的意思是說：上帝本身是完美的，只有完美者才能有完美的作為，或作為完全。因為作為是本質的表現，如此我們必須以謙卑和敬畏的心來親近這為完全者。

    『他所行的無不公平』，這句話的意思是說：上帝是真正的「公平」，不是表象的「和平」，祂會針對不同的人，給予不同之使命，讓每個人都可以展現上帝要他表現的。

    更重要的是，祂是『誠實無偽的上帝，又公義，又正直』，使我們可以和他有美好的關係，享受祂的自己。並且在祂恩典中，越來越有祂的榮美。

申命記8:5

你當心裏思想，耶和華─你　神管教你，好像人管教兒子一樣。

Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you.

    在此的「管教」，英文聖經用「discipline」，有訓練的意思。也就說上帝要訓練我們，如同人訓練兒子一般。

    這是很重要的觀念，做門徒或做學生，就是要接受訓練。人要受訓練後才有專長，才可以合乎上帝或人的需要。人不學習、不受訓練是一無所成的。

    我們成為基督徒，也就是耶穌基督的門徒，是要受耶穌基督的訓練。耶穌基督的訓練是透過祂的信實賦予我們的，可以活出他要我們活出之樣式，為祂做美好的見證，榮耀祂的名。

申命記13:1-3

13:1 「你們中間若有先知或是做夢的起來，向你顯個神蹟奇事，
13:2 對你說：『我們去隨從你素來所不認識的別神，事奉它吧。』他所顯的神蹟奇事雖有應驗，
13:3 你也不可聽那先知或是那做夢之人的話；因為這是耶和華─你們的　神試驗你們，要知道你們是盡心盡性愛耶和華─你們的　神不是。

“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, 'and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

    這段經文要警告我們：我們的信仰不是建立在「神蹟奇事」。不然的話，我們很容易被引誘離開上帝。

    感謝上帝，祂賜下聖靈在我們心中，又賜下聖經讓我們可以閱讀，透過上帝的靈與上帝的話，我們就可以查驗何為上帝的作為，也可分辨這些神蹟奇事是不是從上帝來的。正如這裡所說，就可以讓我們免受誘惑。

    在強調親身體驗的今日，這話也讓我們清醒，我們要清楚我們信仰的是上帝，而不是神蹟奇事，不是喜樂與平安的感覺。若是上帝給的使命，再困難也要堅守，再不可能也要勇敢承擔，因為上帝應許的終末福份，絕對不落空，不要因一時的好處，失去永遠。

申命記8:2

你也要記念耶和華─你的　神在曠野引導你這四十年，是要苦煉你，試驗你，要知道你心內如何，肯守他的誡命不肯。

And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

    以色列人在曠野四十年，是一個特殊的經驗，也是一個神蹟；但是在以色列人的心中，這是一段漂流的日子，是一段艱苦的日子。然而上帝作為卻在其中，他們每天有「嗎哪」餵養，衣服和鞋子沒有損壞。

    基督徒在世界的生活，也和以色列人在曠野中也類似，我們常常忘記我們信了主耶穌是屬上帝的人，而不再是屬這世界的人。既不屬這世界，說得更激烈，是這世界不配有的人。

 

    耶穌的臨別禱告中說：『我不求你叫他們離開世界，只求你保守他們脫離那惡者（或譯：脫離罪惡）。』（約翰福音17:15）

    這也是說，基督徒在世雖如在曠野一般，天天盼望天上的家鄉，盼望上帝國快快實現；然而，我們依然要活在世界上，上帝對我們的引導就是『是要苦煉你，試驗你，要知道你心內如何，肯守他的誡命不肯。』

    的確，我們在世的日子，要活出基督徒的樣式，是要付出代價的，你願不願意呢？你願不願意在前途不明時，仍然相信上帝的帶領，專一尋求他的面呢？不要忘記：應許的領土、承受之地、安息之地、揀選的居所、立名之地、征服之地、…。為了進入那榮耀的國度，我們付的代價，就算不得甚麼了！
