38:10 主耶和華如此說：「到那時，你心必起意念，圖謀惡計，
38:11 說：『我要上那無城牆的鄉村，我要到那安靜的民那裡，他們都沒有城牆，無門、無閂，安然居住。
38:12 我去要搶財為擄物，奪貨為掠物，反手攻擊那從前荒涼、現在有人居住之地，又攻擊那住世界中間、從列國招聚、得了牲畜財貨的民。』
38:13 示巴人、底但人、他施的客商，和其間的少壯獅子都必問你說：『你來要搶財為擄物嗎？你聚集軍隊要奪貨為掠物嗎？要奪取金銀，擄去牲畜、財貨嗎？要搶奪許多財寶為擄物嗎？』
38:14 「人子啊，你要因此發預言，對歌革說，主耶和華如此說：到我民以色列安然居住之日，你豈不知道嗎？
38:15 你必從本地，從北方的極處率領許多國的民來，都騎著馬，乃一大隊極多的軍兵。
38:16 歌革啊，你必上來攻擊我的民以色列，如密雲遮蓋地面。末後的日子，我必帶你來攻擊我的地，到我在外邦人眼前，在你身上顯為聖的時候，好叫他們認識我。
38:17 主耶和華如此說：我在古時藉我的僕人以色列的先知所說的，就是你嗎？當日他們多年預言我必帶你來攻擊以色列人。」
38:18 主耶和華說：「歌革上來攻擊以色列地的時候，我的怒氣要從鼻孔裡發出。
38:19 我發憤恨和烈怒如火說：那日在以色列地必有大震動，
38:20 甚至海中的魚、天空的鳥、田野的獸，並地上的一切昆蟲，和其上的眾人，因見我的面就都震動；山嶺必崩裂，陡巖必塌陷，牆垣都必坍倒。」
38:21 主耶和華說：「我必命我的諸山發刀劍來攻擊歌革；人都要用刀劍殺害弟兄。
38:22 我必用瘟疫和流血的事刑罰他。我也必將暴雨、大雹與火，並硫磺降與他和他的軍隊，並他所率領的眾民。
38:23 我必顯為大，顯為聖，在多國人的眼前顯現；他們就知道我是耶和華。」
10 "Thus says the Lord God:On that
day, thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme 11
and say, 'I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon
the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and
having no bars or gates,' 12 to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your
hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and the people who were
gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell at
the center of the earth. 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and
all its leaders will say to you, 'Have you come to seize spoil? Have you
assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to
take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil? '
14 "Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and
say to Gog, Thus says the Lord God:On that day when my people Israel are
dwelling securely, will you not know it? 15 You will come from your place out
of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them
riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. 16 You will come up against my
people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring
you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I
vindicate my holiness before their eyes.
17 "Thus says the Lord God:Are you he
of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who in
those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them? 18 But on
that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the
Lord God, my wrath will be roused in my anger. 19 For in my jealousy and in my
blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the
land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the
beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all
the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And
the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall
shall tumble to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my
mountains, declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his
brother. 22 With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him,
and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him
torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur. 23 So I will show my
greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations.
Then they will know that I am the Lord.

我們在此看見上帝要保守祂的子民以色列，不管敵人的氣焰是如何的囂張，人數是如何的眾多！上帝必定要勝過，因為人豈能與創造天地的主相抵抗呢？人怎能勝過上帝呢？但是不管是人或是魔鬼，常常輕看上帝和上帝的作為！之所以如此就是驕傲造成的！
那人如何才不會為驕傲所轄制呢？就是要信靠耶穌基督！在基督裡人才能真正認識上帝，才能認識上帝的榮耀、尊貴和能力，才會將榮耀歸給上帝，才會伏在上帝的帶領之下，才不會悖逆上帝！
因此，基督信仰強調「因信稱義」，不強調「靠行為成義」，就是要避免：人自以為有辦法而不倚靠上帝，甚至與上帝作對並反抗！因此，信靠上帝是我們為主所用之首要因素，在基督裡一定要否定自己，讓基督來作主，才能在上帝的恩典下，享受祂的同在！
