38:1 耶和華的話臨到我說：
38:2 「人子啊，你要面向瑪各地的歌革，就是羅施、米設、土巴的王發預言攻擊他，
38:3 說主耶和華如此說：羅施、米設、土巴的王歌革啊，我與你為敵。
38:4 我必用鉤子鉤住你的腮頰，調轉你，將你和你的軍兵、馬匹、馬兵帶出來，都披掛整齊，成了大隊，有大小盾牌，各拿刀劍。
38:5 波斯人、古實人，和弗人（又作利比亞人），各拿盾牌，頭上戴盔；
38:6 歌篾人和他的軍隊，北方極處的陀迦瑪族和他的軍隊，這許多國的民都同著你。
38:7 「那聚集到你這裡的各隊都當準備；你自己也要準備，作他們的大帥。
38:8 過了多日，你必被差派。到末後之年，你必來到脫離刀劍從列國收回之地，到以色列常久荒涼的山上；但那從列國中招聚出來的必在其上安然居住。
38:9 你和你的軍隊，並同著你許多國的民，必如暴風上來，如密雲遮蓋地面。」
1 The word of the Lord came to me:2
"Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief
prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him 3 and say, Thus says the
Lord God:Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 4
And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you
out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor,
a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords. 5 Persia,
Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and
all his hordes; Beth- togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all
his hordes— many peoples are with you.
7 "Be ready and keep ready, you and
all your hosts that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them. 8 After
many days you will be mustered. In the latter years you will go against the
land that is restored from war, the land whose people were gathered from many
peoples upon the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual waste. Its
people were brought out from the peoples and now dwell securely, all of them. 9
You will advance, coming on like a storm. You will be like a cloud covering the
land, you and all your hordes, and many peoples with you.

這裡讓我們看見上帝要先知用話去攻擊做王的歌革。這裡讓我們看見上帝是掌握歷史的上帝，尤其是各樣的國際情勢都在上帝的手中。而上帝執意要保守以色列的平安，世界的動盪不影響以色列的！
這個歌革王想破壞世界的安定，但是上帝的計畫是不改變的，祂必保守祂的子民十分安定！
同樣今日祂也要保守祂的聖徒十分平安，雖然今日基督徒仍然面對迫害，但是上帝卻讓教會安全穩固在這世上傳揚福音，我們不要害怕惡勢力的囂張，最後的勝利是屬於上帝和祂的子民的，耶穌基督已經完成關鍵性的勝利了！
