11:18 耶和華指示我，我就知道；你將他們所行的給我指明。
11:19 我卻像柔順的羊羔被牽到宰殺之地；我並不知道他們設計謀害我，說：我們把樹連果子都滅了吧！將他從活人之地剪除，使他的名不再被紀念。
11:20 按公義判斷、察驗人肺腑心腸的萬軍之耶和華啊，我卻要見你在他們身上報仇，因我將我的案件向你稟明了。
11:21 所以，耶和華論到尋索你命的亞拿突人如此說：「他們說：你不要奉耶和華的名說預言，免得你死在我們手中。
11:22 所以萬軍之耶和華如此說：看哪，我必刑罰他們；他們的少年人必被刀劍殺死，他們的兒女必因饑荒滅亡，
11:23 並且沒有餘剩的人留給他們；因為在追討之年，我必使災禍臨到亞拿突人。」
18 The Lord made it known to me and I knew;
then you showed me their deeds.
19 But I was like a gentle lamb
led to the slaughter.
I did not know it was against me
they devised schemes, saying,
"Let us destroy the tree with its
fruit,
let
us cut him off from the land of the living,
that his name be remembered no more."
20 But, O Lord of hosts, who judges
righteously,
who tests the heart and the mind,
let
me see your vengeance upon them,
for to you have I committed my cause.
21 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning
the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, and say, "Do not prophesy in the
name of the Lord, or you will die by our hand"— 22 therefore thus says the
Lord of hosts:"Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall die by the
sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine, 23 and none of them
shall be left. For I will bring disaster upon the men of Anathoth, the year of
their punishment."

亞拿突人就是直接威脅耶利米不可以說預言。他們大概以為耶利米是職業先知，可以控制自己的言論。或者他們以為只要耶利米不發言，上帝就不會刑罰猶大了。但這是因果錯置的，耶利米發言就是因為上帝非要刑罰猶大不可。
同樣今日牧者的講道是不是由會眾來控制呢？是要迎合會眾的需要，但是不要迎合會眾的喜歡！需要和喜歡有很大的差別：人人需要耶穌的拯救，但是人不喜歡由耶穌顯明人有罪並且會滅亡的事實！身為傳講上帝話語的人，難道不能宣告人有最需要耶穌基督之拯救的事實嗎？
所以，身為上帝的牧者，要將會眾的需要標明出來，就會說到會眾不喜歡聽的，這樣就不能說嗎？當然要說，才能讓會眾的需要清楚，才會渴望上帝的救恩，才會對上帝感恩。也因此，我們要像先知一樣勇敢傳講上帝要我們說的！
