創世記24:10-27

24:10 那僕人從他主人的駱駝裡取了十匹駱駝，並帶些他主人各樣的財物，起身往美索不達米亞去，到了拿鶴的城。
24:11 天將晚，眾女子出來打水的時候，他便叫駱駝跪在城外的水井那裡。
24:12 他說：「耶和華─我主人亞伯拉罕的上帝啊，求你施恩給我主人亞伯拉罕，使我今日遇見好機會。
24:13 我現今站在井旁，城內居民的女子們正出來打水。
24:14 我向那一個女子說：『請你拿下水瓶來，給我水喝。』她若說：『請喝！我也給你的駱駝喝。』願那女子就作你所預定給你僕人以撒的妻。這樣，我便知道你施恩給我主人了。」
24:15 話還沒有說完，不料，利百加肩頭上扛著水瓶出來。利百加是彼土利所生的；彼土利是亞伯拉罕兄弟拿鶴妻子密迦的兒子。
24:16 那女子容貌極其俊美，還是處女，也未曾有人親近她。她下到井旁，打滿了瓶，又上來。
24:17 僕人跑上前去迎著她，說：「求你將瓶裡的水給我一點喝。」
24:18 女子說：「我主請喝！」就急忙拿下瓶來，托在手上給他喝。
24:19 女子給他喝了，就說：「我再為你的駱駝打水，叫駱駝也喝足。」
24:20 她就急忙把瓶裡的水倒在槽裡，又跑到井旁打水，就為所有的駱駝打上水來。
24:21 那人定睛看她，一句話也不說，要曉得耶和華賜他通達的道路沒有。
24:22 駱駝喝足了，那人就拿一個金環，重半舍客勒，兩個金鐲，重十舍客勒，給了那女子，
24:23 說：「請告訴我，你是誰的女兒？你父親家裡有我們住宿的地方沒有？」
24:24 女子說：「我是密迦與拿鶴之子彼土利的女兒」；
24:25 又說：「我們家裡足有糧草，也有住宿的地方。」
24:26 那人就低頭向耶和華下拜，
24:27 說：「耶和華─我主人亞伯拉罕的上帝是應當稱頌的，因他不斷地以慈愛誠實待我主人。至於我，耶和華在路上引領我，直走到我主人的兄弟家裡。」

 ¹⁰ Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim^[b] and made his way to the town of Nahor. ¹¹ He had the camels kneel down near the well outside the town; it was toward evening, the time the women go out to draw water.
¹² Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. ¹³ See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. ¹⁴ May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
¹⁵ Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor. ¹⁶ The woman was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.
¹⁷ The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.”
¹⁸ “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
¹⁹ After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” ²⁰ So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the well to draw more water, and drew enough for all his camels. ²¹ Without saying a word, the man watched her closely to learn whether or not the Lord had made his journey successful.
²² When the camels had finished drinking, the man took out a gold nose ring weighing a beka^[c] and two gold bracelets weighing ten shekels.^{[d] 23} Then he asked, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me, is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”
²⁴ She answered him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milkah bore to Nahor.” ²⁵ And she added, “We have plenty of straw and fodder, as well as room for you to spend the night.”
²⁶ Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord, ²⁷ saying, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”

    上帝是垂聽禱告的上帝，當亞伯拉罕的僕人為他小主人的對像禱告時，他開的條件向上帝求，上帝竟然照他的條件成就了，讓利百加出現在他的眼前，也照他所開的條件來對待他和他的駱駝。

    他的內心十分感動，低頭向耶和華下拜，說：「耶和華─我主人亞伯拉罕的上帝是應當稱頌的，因他不斷地以慈愛誠實待我主人。至於我，耶和華在路上引領我，直走到我主人的兄弟家裡。」

    這是很美的見證，讓我們感受到上帝是垂聽禱告的上帝，無論什麼事，我們都可以勇敢的向上帝祈求，上帝會照我們所需要的，賞賜給我們！。

創世記24:1-9

24:1 亞伯拉罕年紀老邁，向來在一切事上耶和華都賜福給他。
24:2 亞伯拉罕對管理他全業最老的僕人說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下。
24:3 我要叫你指著耶和華─天地的主起誓，不要為我兒子娶這迦南地中的女子為妻。
24:4 你要往我本地本族去，為我的兒子以撒娶一個妻子。」
24:5 僕人對他說：「倘若女子不肯跟我到這地方來，我必須將你的兒子帶回你原出之地嗎？」
24:6 亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不要帶我的兒子回那裡去。
24:7 耶和華─天上的主曾帶領我離開父家和本族的地，對我說話，向我起誓說：『我要將這地賜給你的後裔。』他必差遣使者在你面前，你就可以從那裡為我兒子娶一個妻子。
24:8 倘若女子不肯跟你來，我使你起的誓就與你無干了，只是不可帶我的兒子回那裡去。」
24:9 僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿底下，為這事向他起誓。

 Abraham was now very old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way. ² He said to the senior servant in his household, the one in charge of all that he had, “Put your hand under my thigh. ³ I want you to swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, ⁴ but will go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.”

⁵ The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?”
⁶ “Make sure that you do not take my son back there,” Abraham said. ⁷ “The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring^[a] I will give this land’—he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there. ⁸ If the woman is unwilling to come back with you, then you will be released from this oath of mine. Only do not take my son back there.” ⁹ So the servant put his hand under the thigh of his master Abraham and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.

    亞伯拉罕知道自己離開迦勒底以後不可以再回去，也不可以讓自己的小孩回去。因此要僕人回去他的家鄉去，為自己的小孩找對象。

    這個僕人是亞伯拉罕所信任的，他仍然要求僕人要發誓，表是他對這件事情是多麼看重。因為他清楚上帝的呼召，要離開本族本家往迦南地，這裡才是應許之地！

    我們蒙上帝的呼召要離開罪惡，我們也要有這樣的決心，不可以再像以前一般悖逆上帝，要在基督裡尊上帝為大！

箴言24:10-12

24:10 你在患難之日若膽怯，你的力量就微小。
24:11 人被拉到死地，你要解救；人將被殺，你須攔阻。
24:12 你若說：這事我未曾知道，那衡量人心的豈不明白嗎？保守你命的豈不知道嗎？他豈不按各人所行的報應各人嗎？

¹⁰ If you falter in a time of trouble,
    how small is your strength!
¹¹ Rescue those being led away to death;
    hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
¹² If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
    does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
    Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

    「害怕」常常是帶給人生許多的噩運，使人因為恐懼而不知如何做正確的判斷。正如這裡說的，「人被拉到死地，你要解救；人將被殺，你須攔阻」，是正確的做法。但是，因為「膽怯」真的造成「力量就微小」，就無法拯救人於非命！

    也因此就牽扯出後面的議題：「你若說：這事我未曾知道，那衡量人心的豈不明白嗎？保守你命的豈不知道嗎？他豈不按各人所行的報應各人嗎？」

    的確，上帝不會讓我們以「害怕」為理由，就不追究我們本該救人、卻沒有救人的事情。所以，我們的人生不可以被「害怕」來破壞，要用勇敢的心來面對，做正確的決定！

箴言24:8-9

24:8 設計作惡的，必稱為奸人。
24:9 愚妄人的思念乃是罪惡；褻慢者為人所憎惡。

⁸ Whoever plots evil
    will be known as a schemer.
⁹ The schemes of folly are sin,
    and people detest a mocker.

    最近發生一件事，讓人感受到「奸人」、「愚妄人」和「褻慢者」幾乎是同類，就是有一位毒販，因為賣毒被通緝，還繼續交意被警察發現，就在藏匿處舉槍自殺，是不是讓人感覺是「奸人」、「愚妄人」和「褻慢者」的混合體呢？

    許多人的人生就是被這自己的不智、任意妄為所搞壞掉呢？許多人不認真面對真理，不好好追求真理，只貪一時之便、一時之利，卻讓自己陷入不可拯救的萬丈深淵，浪費大好人生，最後無法收拾，又用最愚笨的方式結束自己的生命，真是好可惜！

    要是我們的人生沒有藉由耶穌基督與上帝相遇，是多麼可憐無助！所以，要記得我們的一生真的要如《猶大書》20-21節所說：「親愛的弟兄啊，你們卻要在至聖的真道上造就自己，在聖靈裡禱告，保守自己常在上帝的愛中，仰望我們主耶穌基督的憐憫，直到永生。」
