34:11 「主耶和華如此說：看哪，我必親自尋找我的羊，將牠們尋見。
34:12 牧人在羊群四散的日子怎樣尋找他的羊，我必照樣尋找我的羊。這些羊在密雲黑暗的日子散到各處，我必從那裡救回牠們來。
34:13 我必從萬民中領出牠們，從各國內聚集牠們，引導牠們歸回故土，也必在以色列山上─一切溪水旁邊、境內一切可居之處─牧養牠們。
34:14 我必在美好的草場牧養牠們。牠們的圈必在以色列高處的山上，牠們必在佳美之圈中躺臥，也在以色列山肥美的草場吃草。
34:15 主耶和華說：我必親自作我羊的牧人，使牠們得以躺臥。
34:16 失喪的，我必尋找；被逐的，我必領回；受傷的，我必纏裹；有病的，我必醫治；只是肥的壯的，我必除滅，也要秉公牧養牠們。
“For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I
myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is
among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I
will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of
clouds and thick darkness. And I will
bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will
bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of
Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them with good pasture, and on
the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. There they shall
lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the
mountains of Israel. I myself will be
the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the
Lord God. I will seek the lost, and I
will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will
strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed
them in justice.

上帝透過先知宣告祂的作為：「看哪，我必親自尋找我的羊，將牠們尋見」。這告訴我們上帝是主動來尋找祂的亡羊，讓羊群重新回到上帝的面前，不再是沒有牧人的羊，並且是上帝親自為牧羊人！
而這些四散的羊，要重新回到以色列的故土，也再次讓我們知道上帝對自己的選民並沒有忘記，要讓他們再次回到上帝的眷顧中，不管他們過去是如何，是怎樣的環境，都要再歸回！
正如先知又宣告的：「我必親自作我羊的牧人，使牠們得以躺臥。失喪的，我必尋找；被逐的，我必領回；受傷的，我必纏裹；有病的，我必醫治；只是肥的壯的，我必除滅，也要秉公牧養牠們。」
這裡上帝說到：「只是肥的壯的，我必除滅」！這是要告訴我們：在上帝面前要謙卑，不可以自以為是，更是不可以爭競搶奪，把一切的利益自享而不與弟兄姊妹分享，只知高抬自己，只知自己的好處，這些都是主所不喜悅的！我們要謹慎，不可忽略弱小的弟兄姊妹，因為這些弟兄姊妹是主所疼惜，所看為寶貝的！
