7:29 耶路撒冷啊，要剪髮拋棄，在淨光的高處舉哀；因為耶和華丟掉離棄了惹他忿怒的世代。
7:30 耶和華說：「猶大人行我眼中看為惡的事，將可憎之物設立在稱為我名下的殿中，污穢這殿。
7:31 他們在欣嫩子谷建築陀斐特的邱壇，好在火中焚燒自己的兒女。這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」
7:32 耶和華說：「因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。因為要在陀斐特葬埋屍首，甚至無處可葬；
7:33 並且這百姓的屍首必給空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸作食物，並無人鬨趕。
7:34 那時，我必使猶大城邑中和耶路撒冷街上，歡喜和快樂的聲音，新郎和新婦的聲音，都止息了，因為地必成為荒場。」
29 "'Cut off your hair and cast it
away;
raise a lamentation on the bare heights,
for the Lord has rejected and forsaken
the generation of his wrath. '
30 "For the sons of Judah have done
evil in my sight, declares the Lord. They have set their detestable things in
the house that is called by my name, to defile it. 31 And they have built the
high places of Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn
their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it
come into my mind. 32 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the
Lord, when it will no more be called Topheth, or the Valley of the Son of
Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter; for they will bury in Topheth, because
there is no room elsewhere. 33 And the dead bodies of this people will be food
for the birds of the air, and for the beasts of the earth, and none will
frighten them away. 34 And I will silence in the cities of Judah and in the
streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of
the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, for the land shall become a waste.

先知將上帝對以色列人拜偶像並殘殺兒女獻祭的事情，提出嚴重的警告！告訴他們越是如此做，越是遭遇更大的災難！不要再繼續惹上帝的憤怒，要與這些奇風異俗斷絕，離開上帝的憤怒！
這也告訴我們，在教會之中要以上帝的話為中心，不要隨從今世的風俗，增加了許多不討上帝喜悅的教訓，不要只忙一些無意義的議題，忘記要來追求真理，認識上帝和上帝所差來的耶穌基督！不要用自以為是的敬虔，來代替聖經的教導，這是非常重要的提醒。
求主保守，讓我們的敬虔是合乎上帝的心意，而不是讓我們的敬虔與上帝為敵，或是成為偶像崇拜。也願我們透過聖經的話和聖靈的引導，行在真理之中，來榮耀上帝！
