23:33 「無論是百姓，是先知，是祭司，問你說：『耶和華有甚麼默示呢？』你就對他們說：『甚麼默示啊？耶和華說：我要撇棄你們。』
23:34 無論是先知，是祭司，是百姓，說『耶和華的默示』，我必刑罰那人和他的家。
23:35 你們各人要對鄰舍，各人要對弟兄如此說：『耶和華回答甚麼？』『耶和華說了甚麼呢？』
23:36 『耶和華的默示』你們不可再提，各人所說的話必作自己的重擔（重擔和默示原文同），因為你們謬用永生上帝、萬軍之耶和華─我們上帝的言語。
23:37 你們要對先知如此說：『耶和華回答你甚麼？』『耶和華說了甚麼呢？』
23:38 你們若說『耶和華的默示』，耶和華就如此說：『因你們說「耶和華的默示」這句話，我也打發人到你們那裡去，告訴你們不可說「耶和華的默示」。』
23:39 所以我必全然忘記你們，將你們和我所賜給你們並你們列祖的城撇棄了；
23:40 又必使永遠的凌辱和長久的羞恥臨到你們，是不能忘記的。」
“When one of
this people, or a prophet or a priest asks you, ‘What is the burden of the
Lord?’ you shall say to them, ‘You are the burden, and I will cast you off, declares
the Lord.’ And as for the prophet,
priest, or one of the people who says, ‘The burden of the Lord,’ I will punish
that man and his household. Thus shall
you say, every one to his neighbor and every one to his brother, ‘What has the
Lord answered?’ or ‘What has the Lord spoken?’
But ‘the burden of the Lord’ you shall mention no more, for the burden
is every man's own word, and you pervert the words of the living God, the Lord
of hosts, our God. Thus you shall say to
the prophet, ‘What has the Lord answered you?’ or ‘What has the Lord
spoken?’ But if you say, ‘The burden of
the Lord,’ thus says the Lord, ‘Because you have said these words, “The burden
of the Lord,” when I sent to you, saying, “You shall not say, ‘The burden of
the Lord,’” therefore, behold, I will
surely lift you up and cast you away from my presence, you and the city that I
gave to you and your fathers. And I will
bring upon you everlasting reproach and perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.’”

上帝這段話的意思是，禁止耶利米那個時代的先知，濫用「耶和華的默示」來說預言！因為這些說預言的人，常常隨己意來說預言，而不是憑這上帝的心意，卻託上帝的名來欺騙人，使人誤入歧途，離上帝越來越遠！
同樣，今日在講台上傳講話語的人，也要小心自己的話語，是來自上帝的啟示呢？還是個人的意思呢？還是人云亦云？沒有好好考察研讀上帝的話，任意憑己意來宣講，這是很危險的！這真的是瞎子領瞎子了！
親愛的弟兄姊妹，我們若渴慕宣講上帝的話，就要好好禱告和學習正確的釋經和解經，以及教會二千年來的大公信仰，不要任意解經、任意宣講，落入異端而不自覺，尤其是許多人不明白「因信稱義」的真理，常常在此出了差錯而不自知，導致害己害人，不可以不謹慎啊！
