約伯記26:1-14

 

26:1 約伯回答說：
26:2 無能的人蒙你何等的幫助！膀臂無力的人蒙你何等的拯救！
26:3 無智慧的人蒙你何等的指教！你向他多顯大知識！
26:4 你向誰發出言語來？誰的靈從你而出？
26:5 在大水和水族以下的陰魂戰兢。
26:6 在上帝面前，陰間顯露；滅亡也不得遮掩。
26:7 上帝將北極鋪在空中，將大地懸在虛空；
26:8 將水包在密雲中，雲卻不破裂；
26:9 遮蔽他的寶座，將雲鋪在其上；
26:10 在水面的周圍劃出界限，直到光明黑暗的交界。
26:11 天的柱子因他的斥責震動驚奇。
26:12 他以能力攪動（或譯：平靜）大海；他藉知識打傷拉哈伯，
26:13 藉他的靈使天有妝飾；他的手刺殺快蛇。
26:14 看哪，這不過是上帝工作的些微；我們所聽於他的是何等細微的聲音！他大能的雷聲誰能明透呢？

 

 Then Job replied:

² “How you have helped the powerless!
    How you have saved the arm that is feeble!
³ What advice you have offered to one without wisdom!
    And what great insight you have displayed!
⁴ Who has helped you utter these words?
    And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?

⁵ “The dead are in deep anguish,
    those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
⁶ The realm of the dead is naked before God;
    Destruction^[a] lies uncovered.
⁷ He spreads out the northern skies over empty space;
    he suspends the earth over nothing.
⁸ He wraps up the waters in his clouds,
    yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
⁹ He covers the face of the full moon,
    spreading his clouds over it.
¹⁰ He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters
    for a boundary between light and darkness.
¹¹ The pillars of the heavens quake,
    aghast at his rebuke.
¹² By his power he churned up the sea;
    by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.
¹³ By his breath the skies became fair;
    his hand pierced the gliding serpent.
¹⁴ And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
    how faint the whisper we hear of him!
    Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”

    面對這一群朋友的話語，是感受他們發表的是無用的言語有自高自大，一點幫助沒有！轉而思考上帝的話語和祂的作為，讓約伯感受到上帝來的教導遠勝過人間來的智慧，於是他讚美上帝：「無能的人蒙你何等的幫助！膀臂無力的人蒙你何等的拯救！無智慧的人蒙你何等的指教！你向他多顯大知識！你向誰發出言語來？誰的靈從你而出？」

 

    也因為這樣約伯感受到上帝的偉大，他述說了上帝許多創造和護理的奧秘，遠勝過人的作為，最後他更述說了上帝的大能：「看哪，這不過是上帝工作的些微；我們所聽於他的是何等細微的聲音！他大能的雷聲誰能明透呢？」

 

    的確，從約伯的朋友的言論也給我們警戒，我們是不是像他們自以為是，將許多無謂的重擔加給我們所帶領、所照顧的弟兄姊妹呢？甚至我們自己也讓自以為是想法傷害了自己？

 

    這不禁想到，先知書當中說到，到上帝面前要靜默，讓我們來感受上帝的榮光，讓上帝的大能親自來更新我們，而不是受一些從人來的自以為是的話語影響和遮蔽，使我們無法瞻仰到上帝的榮光！
