提多書1:10-16

1:10 因為有許多人不服約束，說虛空話欺哄人；那奉割禮的更是這樣。
1:11 這些人的口總要堵住。他們因貪不義之財，將不該教導的教導人，敗壞人的全家。
1:12 有克里特人中的一個本地先知說：「克里特人常說謊話，乃是惡獸，又饞又懶。」
1:13 這個見證是真的。所以，你要嚴嚴地責備他們，使他們在真道上純全無疵，
1:14 不聽猶太人荒渺的言語和離棄真道之人的誡命。
1:15 在潔淨的人，凡物都潔淨；在污穢不信的人，甚麼都不潔淨，連心地和天良也都污穢了。
1:16 他們說是認識上帝，行事卻和他相背；本是可憎惡的，是悖逆的，在各樣善事上是可廢棄的。

 ¹⁰ For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. ¹¹ They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain. ¹² One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”^{[c] 13} This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith ¹⁴ and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth. ¹⁵ To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. ¹⁶ They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

    保羅在這裡說到的一些惡人，就是指教會初期的猶太派信徒。他們表面上是基督徒，骨子裡卻和拉比猶太教是一樣的，他們還是希望外邦人先守猶太律法，才有資格成為基督徒。

    其實保羅接受到的啟示並不是如此，外邦人不必守猶太律法才可以成為基督徒，只要單單信靠耶穌基督，就可以成為基督徒，就可以成為上帝的兒女！所以，保羅不斷闡釋這樣的真理，來對抗這一群扭曲信仰的猶太派信徒。

    當然今日的情形也是如此，我們可以直接透過信靠耶穌基督而成為上帝的兒女，不需要別的條件！我們可以照我們的文化來生活，只要這文化不違背聖經的原則，我們不必揚棄。意思就是說，不管是怎樣的族群，透過耶穌基督都是一家人了！

提多書1:5-9

1:5 我從前留你在克里特，是要你將那沒有辦完的事都辦整齊了，又照我所吩咐你的，在各城設立長老。
1:6 若有無可指責的人，只作一個婦人的丈夫，兒女也是信主的，沒有人告他們是放蕩不服約束的，就可以設立。
1:7 監督既是上帝的管家，必須無可指責，不任性，不暴躁，不因酒滋事，不打人，不貪無義之財；
1:8 樂意接待遠人，好善，莊重，公平，聖潔自持；
1:9 堅守所教真實的道理，就能將純正的教訓勸化人，又能把爭辯的人駁倒了。

 ⁵ The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you. ⁶ An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe^[b] and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. ⁷ Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. ⁸ Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. ⁹ He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

    教會設立長老是很重要的，是為的要治理教會的需要，是服務的性質。而長老有治理性的與教導性，而教導性的長老在此保羅稱為「監督」，是長老們的領袖，相當於今天的牧師。

    設立為長老的條件是：「無可指責的人，只作一個婦人的丈夫，兒女也是信主的，沒有人告他們是放蕩不服約束的，就可以設立」。而監督則是：「必須無可指責，不任性，不暴躁，不因酒滋事，不打人，不貪無義之財；樂意接待遠人，好善，莊重，公平，聖潔自持；堅守所教真實的道理，就能將純正的教訓勸化人，又能把爭辯的人駁倒了。」

    在今日要達到「監督」的標準，真的只有牧師！所以，教會對牧師要有敬重的心，雖是有謝禮，卻不是教會的雇工，是上帝差派來帶領教會的。當然監督落牧師也要憑著上帝所賜的恩賜，好好照管教會！如此，才是教會之福！

提多書1:1-4

1:1 上帝的僕人，耶穌基督的使徒保羅，憑著上帝選民的信心與敬虔真理的知識，
1:2 盼望那無謊言的上帝在萬古之先所應許的永生，
1:3 到了日期，藉著傳揚的工夫把他的道顯明了；這傳揚的責任是按著上帝─我們救主的命令交託了我。
1:4 現在寫信給提多，就是照著我們共信之道作我真兒子的。願恩惠、平安從父上帝和我們的救主基督耶穌歸與你！

 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— ² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, ³ and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

⁴ To Titus, my true son in our common faith:

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

    保羅在此說到自己的傳道，是承受上帝所給的使命。所以呼召是來自於上帝，不是來自於人的選擇與思考。也因此，傳道不是來自於人的主動，是來自上帝的呼召！有這樣的呼召就要馬上答應，不要等到沒有辦法的時候，已經來不及了！

    記得有許多弟兄姊妹，感受到上帝的呼召：年輕的時候一直找藉口逃避，到年老的時候，回想起來，相中充滿悔恨，因為覺得自己已經十分老邁不知如何讓主來使用！其實不要害怕，不管是幾歲，仍然可以回應主耶穌：「我在這裡」！即使是一息尚存，仍然可以讚美主來服事祂，為主所用，所以不要嘆息，不要懊悔！

    保羅說明到自己是被上帝所呼召的人！而提多也是，是要承傳保羅來服事外邦教會的！保羅藉這封信來教導、來勉勵，使題多可以繼續來努力於福音的傳揚與教會之建立！

箴言21:16

迷離通達道路的，必住在陰魂的會中。

Whoever strays from the path of prudence
    comes to rest in the company of the dead.

          作者要告訴我們，人不可以離開「智慧的路」！什麼是「智慧的路」？就是要以敬畏耶和華為生命之準則，因為敬畏耶和華為智慧的開端，若沒有敬畏耶和華就沒有智慧，就無法走在智慧的路上！

          所以，信仰不是在於知識的多寡，而是在於敬畏上帝！求主保守，讓我們因著上帝所臨到我們的恩典，心存敬畏來跟隨和信靠，因為這是我們蒙福的道路，使我們進入上帝的永生！

提摩太後書4:9-22

4:9 你要趕緊地到我這裡來。
4:10 因為底馬貪愛現今的世界，就離棄我往帖撒羅尼迦去了；革勒士往加拉太去；提多往撻馬太去；
4:11 獨有路加在我這裡。你來的時候，要把馬可帶來，因為他在傳道（或譯：服事我）的事上於我有益處。
4:12 我已經打發推基古往以弗所去。
4:13 我在特羅亞留於加布的那件外衣，你來的時候可以帶來，那些書也要帶來，更要緊的是那些皮卷。
4:14 銅匠亞歷山大多多地害我；主必照他所行的報應他。
4:15 你也要防備他，因為他極力敵擋了我們的話。
4:16 我初次申訴，沒有人前來幫助，竟都離棄我；但願這罪不歸與他們。
4:17 惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裡被救出來。

4:20 以拉都在哥林多住下了。特羅非摩病了，我就留他在米利都。
4:21 你要趕緊在冬天以前到我這裡來。有友布羅、布田、利奴、革老底亞，和眾弟兄都問你安。
4:22 願主與你的靈同在！願恩惠常與你們同在！

⁹ Do your best to come to me quickly, ¹⁰ for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry. ¹² I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. ¹³ When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments.

¹⁴ Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done. ¹⁵ You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.

¹⁶ At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. ¹⁷ But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. ¹⁸ The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁹ Greet Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus. ²⁰ Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus. ²¹ Do your best to get here before winter. Eubulus greets you, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia and all the brothers and sisters.

²² The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.

    保羅對自己的得救是有把握，正如他在這裡所說：「惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裡被救出來。主必救我脫離諸般的凶惡，也必救我進他的天國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。」

    我們若有得救的確據，我們就不會害怕，不管面對任何危險和苦難！因為我們相信上帝在耶穌基督裡的拯救大能，是永不落空！如此，我們就可以放膽來傳主的福音，與人分享福音的好處！

    保羅因著盼望就能夠面對從人來的壓迫與攻擊，也不會懼怕魔鬼藉由疾病、災難、惡人的折磨！因為，相信最後的勝利是屬於耶穌基督的！上帝事必永遠得勝與掌權的！
