32:17 十二年十二月十五日，耶和華的話臨到我說：
32:18 「人子啊，你要為埃及群眾哀號，又要將埃及和有名之國的女子，並下坑的人，一同扔到陰府去。
32:19 你埃及的美麗勝過誰呢？你下去與未受割禮的人一同躺臥吧！
32:20 他們必在被殺的人中仆到。她被交給刀劍，要把她和她的群眾拉去。
32:21 強盛的勇士要在陰間對埃及王和幫助他的說話；他們是未受割禮被殺的人，已經下去，躺臥不動。
32:22 「亞述和她的眾民都在那裡，她民的墳墓在她四圍；他們都是被殺倒在刀下的。
32:23 他們的墳墓在坑中極深之處。他的眾民在他墳墓的四圍，都是被殺倒在刀下的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐。
32:24 「以攔也在那裡，她的群眾在她墳墓的四圍，都是被殺倒在刀下、未受割禮而下陰府的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐，並且與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。
32:25 人給她和她的群眾在被殺的人中設立床榻。她民的墳墓在她四圍，他們都是未受割禮被刀殺的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐，並且與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。以攔已經放在被殺的人中。
32:26 「米設、土巴，和她們的群眾都在那裡。她民的墳墓在她四圍，他們都是未受割禮被刀殺的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐。
32:27 他們不得與那未受割禮仆倒的勇士一同躺臥；這些勇士帶著兵器下陰間，頭枕刀劍，骨頭上有本身的罪孽；他們曾在活人之地使勇士驚恐。
32:28 「法老啊，你必在未受割禮的人中敗壞，與那些被殺的人一同躺臥。
32:29 「以東也在那裡。她君王和一切首領雖然仗著勢力，還是放在被殺的人中；他們必與未受割禮的和下坑的人一同躺臥。
32:30 「在那裡有北方的眾王子和一切西頓人，都與被殺的人下去。他們雖然仗著勢力使人驚恐，還是蒙羞。他們未受割禮，和被刀殺的一同躺臥，與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。
32:31 「法老看見他們，便為他被殺的軍隊受安慰。這是主耶和華說的。
32:32 我任憑法老在活人之地使人驚恐，法老和他的群眾必放在未受割禮和被殺的人中。這是主耶和華說的。」
17 In the twelfth year, in the twelfth
month, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:18
"Son of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt, and send them down, her and
the daughters of majestic nations, to the world below, to those who have gone
down to the pit:
19 'Whom do you surpass in beauty?
Go down and be laid to rest with the
uncircumcised. '
20 They shall fall amid those who are slain
by the sword. Egypt is delivered to the sword; drag her away, and all her
multitudes. 21 The mighty chiefs shall speak of them, with their helpers, out
of the midst of Sheol:'They have come down, they lie still, the uncircumcised,
slain by the sword. '
22 "Assyria is there, and all her
company, its graves all around it, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, 23
whose graves are set in the uttermost parts of the pit; and her company is all
around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who spread terror in
the land of the living.
24 "Elam is there, and all her
multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who went
down uncircumcised into the world below, who spread their terror in the land of
the living; and they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit. 25
They have made her a bed among the slain with all her multitude, her graves all
around it, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for terror of them
was spread in the land of the living, and they bear their shame with those who
go down to the pit; they are placed among the slain.
26 "Meshech- Tubal is there, and all
her multitude, her graves all around it, all of them uncircumcised, slain by
the sword; for they spread their terror in the land of the living. 27 And they
do not lie with the mighty, the fallen from among the uncircumcised, who went
down to Sheol with their weapons of war, whose swords were laid under their
heads, and whose iniquities are upon their bones; for the terror of the mighty
men was in the land of the living. 28 But as for you, you shall be broken and
lie among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword.
29 "Edom is there, her kings and all
her princes, who for all their might are laid with those who are killed by the
sword; they lie with the uncircumcised, with those who go down to the pit.
30 "The princes of the north are
there, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who have gone down in shame with the
slain, for all the terror that they caused by their might; they lie uncircumcised
with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go
down to the pit.
31 "When Pharaoh sees them, he will be
comforted for all his multitude, Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword,
declares the Lord God. 32 For I spread terror in the land of the living; and he
shall be laid to rest among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the
sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude, declares the Lord God."

此處用法老與埃及人下到陰間的情景來描述上帝的權能，過去上帝讓許多強國、兇惡的軍隊、君王下到陰間。這些國家不能照自己的意志，來抗拒上帝的旨意。今日上帝決定要讓埃及滅亡，埃及也一定會滅亡，無法自救。
同樣我們也無法靠自己的努力來拯救自己，只能靠耶穌基督在十字架上所成就的大功，我們才有資格享受上的在基督裡的恩典，蒙上帝從地獄火湖的狀態下被提升到天上與基督同坐在上帝的右邊！
故此，我們是不能救自己的，只有耶穌基督才能救我們，因為這是上帝設立唯一的拯救！
