希伯來書1:7-14

1:7 論到使者，又說：上帝以風為使者，以火焰為僕役；
1:8 論到子卻說：上帝啊，你的寶座是永永遠遠的；你的國權是正直的。
1:9 你喜愛公義，恨惡罪惡；所以上帝，就是你的上帝，用喜樂油膏你，勝過膏你的同伴；
1:10 又說：主啊，你起初立了地的根基；天也是你手所造的。
1:11 天地都要滅沒，你卻要長存。天地都要像衣服漸漸舊了；
1:12 你要將天地捲起來，像一件外衣，天地就都改變了。惟有你永不改變；你的年數沒有窮盡。
1:13 所有的天使，上帝從來對哪一個說：你坐在我的右邊，等我使你仇敵作你的腳凳？
1:14 天使豈不都是服役的靈、奉差遣為那將要承受救恩的人效力嗎？

⁷ In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits,
    and his servants flames of fire.”^[d]

⁸ But about the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
⁹ You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
    therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
    by anointing you with the oil of joy.”^[e]

¹⁰ He also says,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.
¹¹ They will perish, but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
¹² You will roll them up like a robe;
    like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
    and your years will never end.”^[f]

¹³ To which of the angels did God ever say,

“Sit at my right hand
    until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet”^[g]?

¹⁴ Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

    有許多基督徒的心中對天使有極崇高的尊敬，認為天使是比上帝次一等而已，相信天使有神奇的力量！但是，聖經中雖然有天使的記載，卻沒有說到上帝是如何創造天使，反倒說到有悖逆的天使，最後就成了魔鬼，不僅影響人也影響其他的天使。

    當然凡有上帝的榮耀的地方也有天使，正如《以賽亞書》第6章的描述，或是《以西結書》中也有許多關於天使的描述！而在這裡也像我們介紹：「天使豈不都是服役的靈、奉差遣為那將要承受救恩的人效力嗎？」

    所以，《希伯來書》的作者，希望讀者不要崇拜天使，也表明天使也是受造的，目地是要服事蒙救恩的人，是接受上帝命令的！而耶穌基督是勝過天使的，祂本身就是上帝，就是創造主！雖然祂以人的樣式顯現。

    因此，我們不能只將耶穌基督當成天使來看待，因為舊約中常常會描述到天使以人形出現，正如亞伯拉罕的事蹟所描述的，我們要看耶穌基督聖於天使，要尊崇耶穌基督如同尊崇上帝！
