2:10 有河從伊甸流出來，滋潤那園子，從那裡分為四道：
2:11 第一道名叫比遜，就是環繞哈腓拉全地的。在那裡有金子，
2:12 並且那地的金子是好的；在那裡又有珍珠和紅瑪瑙。
2:13 第二道河名叫基訓，就是環繞古實全地的。
2:14 第三道河名叫底格里斯，流在亞述的東邊。第四道河就是幼發拉底河。

10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was
separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the
Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12 (The gold of that land
is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river
is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is
the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the
Euphrates.
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of
the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be
yours for food. 30 And
to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the
creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in
it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was
evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

透過這段經文，告訴我們「伊甸園」是真實的，不是虛構出來的地方。而「伊甸」在希伯來文的意義是「快樂」，這就告訴我們「伊甸園」就是「樂園」的意思！
聖經很有意思，創世記一開始的時候提到伊甸園，在啟示錄最後提到的新天新地也就是「伊甸園」，也就是樂園的意思。正如主耶穌向那強盜說：「我實在告訴你，今日你要同我在樂園裡了。」（路加福音23:43）
所以，耶穌基督的拯救就是要我們重回「伊甸園」，回到上帝創造人當初的狀態，使人蒙耶穌基督的拯救，重新享受上帝為亞當夏娃所預備的樂園，讓我們的心得著真正的滿足，因為這是永遠的福樂！
