創世記19:1-11

19:1 那兩個天使晚上到了所多瑪；羅得正坐在所多瑪城門口，看見他們，就起來迎接，臉伏於地下拜，
19:2 說：「我主啊，請你們到僕人家裡洗洗腳，住一夜，清早起來再走。」他們說：「不！我們要在街上過夜。」
19:3 羅得切切地請他們，他們這才進去，到他屋裡。羅得為他們預備筵席，烤無酵餅，他們就吃了。
19:4 他們還沒有躺下，所多瑪城裡各處的人，連老帶少，都來圍住那房子，
19:5 呼叫羅得說：「今日晚上到你這裡來的人在哪裡呢？把他們帶出來，任我們所為。」
19:6 羅得出來，把門關上，到眾人那裡，
19:7 說：「眾弟兄，請你們不要做這惡事。
19:8 我有兩個女兒，還是處女，容我領出來，任憑你們的心願而行；只是這兩個人既然到我舍下，不要向他們做甚麼。」
19:9 眾人說：「退去吧！」又說：「這個人來寄居，還想要作官哪！現在我們要害你比害他們更甚。」眾人就向前擁擠羅得，要攻破房門。
19:10 只是那二人伸出手來，將羅得拉進屋去，把門關上，
19:11 並且使門外的人，無論老少，眼都昏迷；他們摸來摸去，總尋不著房門。

The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. ² “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”

“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”
³ But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. ⁴ Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. ⁵ They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
⁶ Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him ⁷ and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. ⁸ Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”
⁹ “Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
¹⁰ But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. ¹¹ Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

    所多瑪之所以遭毀滅，是因為他們的惡行。而他們的應該有許多種，不單單只是同性性行為。雖然這裡說到，他們企圖對那兩位「客旅」，要做同性性行為的性侵。

    有些人刻意反對某項罪惡的事情，就會忘記罪惡的多樣性！因為罪惡充滿在人生命各個層面，這也是說明人是完全敗壞。不只是內心敗壞，還包括身體和各樣的意念，沒有一處不被罪惡所汙染！

    所多瑪和俄摩拉只是代表性的罪惡城市，其實自從亞當夏娃以後人都被罪惡轄制，而且是越來越糟糕！雖然經洪水滅絕大部分的人，只留挪亞一家人；但是，挪亞和其後代依然犯罪，甚至必洪水前更可怕！

    所以，人必須等到耶穌基督在十字架上完成的救恩，人才能真正從罪惡中被釋放出來！可以成為聖潔，為上帝所悅納！
