36:1 「人子啊，你要對以色列山發預言說：以色列山哪，要聽耶和華的話。
36:2 主耶和華如此說：因仇敵說：『阿哈！這永久的山岡都歸我們為業了！』
36:3 所以要發預言說，主耶和華如此說：因為敵人使你荒涼，四圍吞吃，好叫你歸與其餘的外邦人為業，並且多嘴多舌的人提起你來，百姓也說你有臭名。
36:4 故此，以色列山要聽主耶和華的話。大山小岡、水溝山谷、荒廢之地、被棄之城，為四圍其餘的外邦人所佔據、所譏刺的，
36:5 主耶和華對你們如此說：我真發憤恨如火，責備那其餘的外邦人和以東的眾人。他們快樂滿懷，心存恨惡，將我的地歸自己為業，又看為被棄的掠物。
36:6 所以，你要指著以色列地說預言，對大山小岡、水溝山谷說，主耶和華如此說：我發憤恨和忿怒說，因你們曾受外邦人的羞辱，
36:7 所以我起誓說：你們四圍的外邦人總要擔當自己的羞辱。這是主耶和華說的。
"And you, son of man, prophesy to the
mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.
Thus says the Lord God:Because the enemy
said of you, 'Aha! ' and, 'The ancient heights have become our possession,' therefore prophesy, and say, Thus says the
Lord God:Precisely because they made you desolate and crushed you from all
sides, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you
became the talk and evil gossip of the people, therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the
word of the Lord God:Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and the hills, the
ravines and the valleys, the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which
have become a prey and derision to the rest of the nations all around, therefore thus says the Lord God:Surely I have
spoken in my hot jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom,
who gave my land to themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and utter
contempt, that they might make its pasturelands a prey. Therefore prophesy concerning the land of
Israel, and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, Thus
says the Lord God: Behold, I have spoken in my jealous wrath, because you have
suffered the reproach of the nations. Therefore thus says the Lord God: I swear
that the nations that are all around you shall themselves suffer reproach.

上帝是公義的上帝，而上帝的公義彰顯於人被欺壓時，雖然不是馬上，但是上帝最終一定會展現祂的公義，而且是永恆的公義！為了這個公義，我們等再久的時間都值得，因為這些時間比起永恆都是算短暫，所以公義絕對不會來的太遲！重要的是我們願不願意等待，願不願意相信，願不願意接受。這在上帝是必然的作為，不容置疑的，只是人必須伏在上帝的作為下，才能感受到上帝真正的公義。
也因為如此，不信的人只想自己的利益，甚至貪求自己所不應得的，以至於侵犯到上帝的公義，雖然一時得利，但是最終上帝必定追討回去，這追討更是永恆性的，雖然他可以享受一段似乎很長的時間，同樣這樣的時間比起永恆是算不得什麼！上帝中必追討，而且使永恆性的懲罰！
也因為人常常是在無知下侵犯到上帝的公義，所以人需要被救贖，若不被救贖，人是要處於永遠的刑罰之下，而這永遠的救贖必須透過無限的上帝，一時的作為，完成永恆的代價。所以，耶穌基督這位神人二性一位格的主的代贖受刑，才能滿足上帝的作為！沒有別的拯救，只有上帝親自設立的！
