詩篇113:1-9

113:1 你們要讚美耶和華！耶和華的僕人哪，你們要讚美，讚美耶和華的名！
113:2 耶和華的名是應當稱頌的，從今時直到永遠！
113:3 從日出之地到日落之處，耶和華的名是應當讚美的！
113:4 耶和華超乎萬民之上；他的榮耀高過諸天。
113:5 誰像耶和華─我們的上帝呢？他坐在至高之處，
113:6 自己謙卑，觀看天上地下的事。
113:7 他從灰塵裡抬舉貧寒人，從糞堆中提拔窮乏人，
113:8 使他們與王子同坐，就是與本國的王子同坐。
113:9 他使不能生育的婦人安居家中，為多子的樂母。你們要讚美耶和華！

¹ Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord, you his servants;
    praise the name of the Lord.
² Let the name of the Lord be praised,
    both now and forevermore.
³ From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
    the name of the Lord is to be praised.

⁴ The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
⁵ Who is like the Lord our God,
    the One who sits enthroned on high,
⁶ who stoops down to look
    on the heavens and the earth?

⁷ He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
⁸ he seats them with princes,
    with the princes of his people.
⁹ He settles the childless woman in her home
    as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.

    詩的前後都是「你們要讚美耶和華」！也就是用「哈利路亞」當開始和結束！而在這裡說的「哈利路亞」是針對上帝的僕人，因為詩人說：「耶和華的僕人哪，你們要讚美，讚美耶和華的名！」

    詩人寫這首詩的目的，就是要激勵人一起來讚美上帝！也因此著重在上帝與人的關係，要人思想上帝是怎樣的愛護人！所以詩人說到：「誰像耶和華─我們的上帝呢？他坐在至高之處，自己謙卑，觀看天上地下的事。」

    正如加爾文說到：上帝關心人，用人可以懂的方式向人啟示真理，所以透過一些人來向人述說自己，最偉大的方式是透過「道成肉身」，使人經由耶穌基督和祂的釘十字架來認識上帝和祂的拯救，尤其是透過死和復活、升天及代求，讓我們深深感受上帝的愛！

    當然祂也護理人在世上的生活，正如詩人所說：「他從灰塵裡抬舉貧寒人，從糞堆中提拔窮乏人，使他們與王子同坐，就是與本國的王子同坐。他使不能生育的婦人安居家中，為多子的樂母。」

    上帝是行奇事的上帝，更讓我們感受祂對我們的眷顧，這是何等至極的愛，讓我們心被恩趕來讚美上帝，從心中呼喊出：「哈利路亞！」
