10:1 我又看見另有一位大力的天使從天降下，披著雲彩，頭上有虹，臉面像日頭，兩腳像火柱。
10:2 他手裡拿著小書卷，是展開的。他右腳踏海，左腳踏地，
10:3 大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。呼喊完了，就有七雷發聲。
10:4 七雷發聲之後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說：「七雷所說的，你要封上，不可寫出來。」
10:5 我所看見的那踏海踏地的天使向天舉起右手來，
10:6 指著那創造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永遠遠的，起誓說：「不再有時日了（或譯：不再耽延了）。」
10:7 但在第七位天使吹號發聲的時候，上帝的奧祕就成全了，正如上帝所傳給他僕人眾先知的佳音。
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down
from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was
like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. He had a little scroll open in
his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land,
and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he called out, the
seven thunders sounded. And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to
write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven
thunders have said, and do not write it down." And the angel whom I saw
standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore
by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the
earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no
more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the
seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to
his servants the prophets.

使徒約翰經歷了舊約先知的啟示的過程，讓人看見上帝不是所有事情都讓人知道。而上帝所隱藏的，人絕對不要有好奇心想知道。更不要以為知道了這些隱藏的事，就比別人更屬靈、更高明！非也！上帝不是以人的知識高低來審判人，所以不要去探求我們不應該知道的事。
然而在這裡大能的天使宣告：「不再有時日了」，就是「不再耽延了」！意思就是說，耶穌基督再來的日子近了！要快快準備，不要去探究奧秘的事，到那日一切都明白了！
是的，與其探究不明白之事，倒不如預備迎接主的再臨！
