6:5 揭開第三印的時候，我聽見第三個活物說：「你來！」我就觀看，見有一匹黑馬；騎在馬上的，手裡拿著天平。
6:6 我聽見在四活物中似乎有聲音說：「一錢銀子買一升麥子，一錢銀子買三升大麥；油和酒不可糟蹋。」
When he opened the third seal, I heard the
third living creature say, "Come!" And I looked, and behold, a black
horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed
to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, "A quart
of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not
harm the oil and wine!"

第三個封印打開，出現的景象是一個飢荒的狀態，讓人感覺食物的缺乏，也讓人感受到錢的用處也降低了，買吃的都不夠了，還能買甚麼呢？
這也是告訴我們，為何要存感謝的心來領受每日所需之飲食和日常用品，不可以輕忽它們！這些都是上帝所賞賜的，都是上帝的恩典！
當我們可享受到美物就當感謝，就當珍惜！更重要的是我們要好好愛護我們的生態環境，以免造成我們沒有糧食、沒有清潔的水源和空氣。若是我們的環境被破壞得很嚴重，就會如這種景況！
