出埃及記8:1-15

8:1 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你進去見法老，對他說：『耶和華這樣說：容我的百姓去，好事奉我。
8:2 你若不肯容他們去，我必使青蛙糟蹋你的四境。
8:3 河裡要滋生青蛙；這青蛙要上來進你的宮殿和你的臥房，上你的床榻，進你臣僕的房屋，上你百姓的身上，進你的爐灶和你的摶麵盆，
8:4 又要上你和你百姓並你眾臣僕的身上。』」
8:5 耶和華曉諭摩西說：「你對亞倫說：『把你的杖伸在江、河、池以上，使青蛙到埃及地上來。』」
8:6 亞倫便伸杖在埃及的諸水以上，青蛙就上來，遮滿了埃及地。
8:7 行法術的也用他們的邪術照樣而行，叫青蛙上了埃及地。
8:8 法老召了摩西、亞倫來，說：「請你們求耶和華使這青蛙離開我和我的民，我就容百姓去祭祀耶和華。」
8:9 摩西對法老說：「任憑你吧，我要何時為你和你的臣僕並你的百姓祈求，除滅青蛙離開你和你的宮殿只留在河裡呢？」
8:10 他說：「明天。」摩西說：「可以照你的話吧，好叫你知道沒有像耶和華─我們上帝的。
8:11 青蛙要離開你和你的宮殿，並你的臣僕與你的百姓，只留在河裡。」
8:12 於是摩西、亞倫離開法老出去。摩西為擾害法老的青蛙呼求耶和華。
8:13 耶和華就照摩西的話行。凡在房裡、院中、田間的青蛙都死了。
8:14 眾人把青蛙聚攏成堆，遍地就都腥臭。
8:15 但法老見災禍鬆緩，就硬著心，不肯聽他們，正如耶和華所說的。

^1 [a]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. ² If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. ³ The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. ⁴ The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”
⁵ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’”
⁶ So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land. ⁷ But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts; they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.
⁸ Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”
⁹ Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”
¹⁰ “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.
Moses replied, “It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God. ¹¹ The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.”
¹² After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the Lord about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh. ¹³ And the Lord did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields. ¹⁴ They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. ¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

    古人說：「江山易改，本性難移！」

    可見要改變人心是很難的，要改變君王的心更是難！然而在人沒有辦法，在上帝沒有難成的事，上帝會一步一步讓法老屈服，法老的心似乎很硬，又會見縫插針，但是上帝必定可以使他屈服的！

    其實，我們的生命何嘗不是如此，上帝用著各種方法來熬煉與改變我們，最後讓我們「順服」！這講得倒容易，其實是不容易的，正如希伯來書說到主耶穌雖然是上帝兒子，還是因所受的苦難學了順從！（5:8）

    可見主耶穌都要通過「受苦」的陶造，所以基督徒不要逃避「受苦」的事情，也惟有經過受苦才會煉淨我們，正如使徒彼得說：「基督既在肉身受苦，你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器，因為在肉身受過苦的，就已經與罪斷絕了。」(彼得前書4:1)
