路加福音6:1-11

 

6:1 有一個安息日，耶穌從麥地經過。他的門徒掐了麥穗，用手搓著吃。
6:2 有幾個法利賽人說：「你們為甚麼做安息日不可做的事呢？」
6:3 耶穌對他們說：「經上記著大衛和跟從他的人飢餓之時所做的事，連這個你們也沒有念過嗎？
6:4 他怎麼進了上帝的殿，拿陳設餅吃，又給跟從的人吃？這餅除了祭司以外，別人都不可吃。」
6:5 又對他們說：「人子是安息日的主。」
6:6 又有一個安息日，耶穌進了會堂教訓人，在那裡有一個人右手枯乾了。
6:7 文士和法利賽人窺探耶穌，在安息日治病不治病，要得把柄去告他。
6:8 耶穌卻知道他們的意念，就對那枯乾一隻手的人說：「起來！站在當中。」那人就起來，站著。
6:9 耶穌對他們說：「我問你們，在安息日行善行惡，救命害命，哪樣是可以的呢？」
6:10 他就周圍看著他們眾人，對那人說：「伸出手來！」他把手一伸，手就復了原。
6:11 他們就滿心大怒，彼此商議怎樣處治耶穌。

 

One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels. ² Some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

³ Jesus answered them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? ⁴ He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” ⁵ Then Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

⁶ On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. ⁷ The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. ⁸ But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in front of everyone.” So he got up and stood there.

⁹ Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”

¹⁰ He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored. ¹¹ But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

    上帝設安息日的目的，是要人清楚人需要安息，而不是硬性規定人要守安息日的規矩。也就是說人必須以享受的方式來守安息日，而不是已盡責任的心態來守安息日。這有什麼差別？

 

    享受的方式守安息日，是為了全人的需要，正如常語說：「休息是為了走更長的路！」

 

    人不是機器，人勞動之後會累，這個累累積多了就會生病，所謂的積勞成疾！消除疲勞的方式就是休息，到上帝面前支取上帝的供應好從新得力。所以上帝要人守安息日，來領受上帝的更新大能！

 

    若是用盡責的心態來守安息日，也是一種自我表現，是人的作為勝過上帝的作為！以人的作為為中心就是消耗能量，是失去力量，讓人更累、更壓迫！就無法享受上帝的供應了，最後人變得更疲乏！

 

    人存在的目的是要依靠與支取上帝的大能，而不是要自我表現，使自己疲乏跌倒！正如《以賽亞書》說：「就是少年人也要疲乏困倦；強壯的也必全然跌倒。但那等候耶和華的必重新得力。他們必如鷹展翅上騰；他們奔跑卻不困倦，行走卻不疲乏。」(40:30-31)
