9:1 示巴女王聽見所羅門的名聲，就來到耶路撒冷，要用難解的話試問所羅門；跟隨她的人甚多，又有駱駝馱著香料、寶石，和許多金子。她來見了所羅門，就把心裡所有的對所羅門都說出來。
9:2 所羅門將她所問的都答上了，沒有一句不明白、不能答的。
9:3 示巴女王見所羅門的智慧和他所建造的宮室、
9:4 席上的珍饈美味、群臣分列而坐、僕人兩旁侍立，以及他們的衣服裝飾、酒政，和酒政的衣服裝飾，又見他上耶和華殿的臺階，就詫異得神不守舍，
9:5 對王說：「我在本國裡所聽見論到你的事和你的智慧實在是真的！
9:6 我先不信那些話，及至我來親眼見了，才知道你的大智慧；人所告訴我的，還不到一半；你的實跡越過我所聽見的名聲。
9:7 你的群臣、你的僕人常侍立在你面前聽你智慧的話是有福的。
9:8 耶和華─你的上帝是應當稱頌的！他喜悅你，使你坐他的國位，為耶和華─你的上帝作王；因為你的上帝愛以色列人，要永遠堅立他們，所以立你作他們的王，使你秉公行義。」
9:9 於是示巴女王將一百二十他連得金子和寶石，與極多的香料送給所羅門王；她送給王的香料，以後再沒有這樣的。
9:10 希蘭的僕人和所羅門的僕人從俄斐運了金子來，也運了檀香木（或譯：烏木；下同）和寶石來。
9:11 王用檀香木為耶和華殿和王宮做臺，又為歌唱的人做琴瑟；猶大地從來沒有見過這樣的。
9:12 所羅門王按示巴女王所帶來的，還她禮物，另外照她一切所要所求的，都送給她。於是女王和她臣僕轉回本國去了。
When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Arriving with a very great caravan—with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones—she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind. 2 Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for him to explain to her. 3 When the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, as well as the palace he had built, 4 the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, the cupbearers in their robes and the burnt offerings he made at[a] the temple of the Lord, she was overwhelmed.
5 She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true. 6 But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard. 7 How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! 8 Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the Lord your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king over them, to maintain justice and righteousness.”
9 Then she gave the king 120 talents[b] of gold, large quantities of spices, and precious stones. There had never been such spices as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
10 (The servants of Hiram and the servants of Solomon brought gold from Ophir; they also brought algumwood[c] and precious stones. 11 The king used the algumwood to make steps for the temple of the Lord and for the royal palace, and to make harps and lyres for the musicians. Nothing like them had ever been seen in Judah.)
12 King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for; he gave her more than she had brought to him. Then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country.

示巴女王來見所羅門王，說了一句令人震的話：「我在本國裡所聽見論到你的事和你的智慧實在是真的！我先不信那些話，及至我來親眼見了，才知道你的大智慧；人所告訴我的，還不到一半；你的實跡越過我所聽見的名聲。你的群臣、你的僕人常侍立在你面前聽你智慧的話是有福的。耶和華─你的上帝是應當稱頌的！他喜悅你，使你坐他的國位，為耶和華─你的上帝作王；因為你的上帝愛以色列人，要永遠堅立他們，所以立你作他們的王，使你秉公行義。」
可見君王設立的目的是要彰顯上帝的榮耀，不是讓一人受眾人服事，而是要一人服事眾人！正如主耶穌清楚自己是要成為眾人的贖價，親自擔當百姓的罪，救百姓脫離罪惡，這才是真正的君王！
求主幫助我們，讓我們也有「王者之光」，為榮耀主耶穌的緣故，成為承擔重擔的人，幫助人可以得到益處，享受主耶穌的救恩，使人得永生之福！
