馬可福音12:13-17

 

12:13 後來，他們打發幾個法利賽人和幾個希律黨的人到耶穌那裡，要就著他的話陷害他。
12:14 他們來了，就對他說：「夫子，我們知道你是誠實的，甚麼人你都不徇情面；因為你不看人的外貌，乃是誠誠實實傳上帝的道。納稅給凱撒可以不可以？
12:15 我們該納不該納？」耶穌知道他們的假意，就對他們說：「你們為甚麼試探我？拿一個銀錢來給我看！」
12:16 他們就拿了來。耶穌說：「這像和這號是誰的？」他們說：「是凱撒的。」
12:17 耶穌說：「凱撒的物當歸給凱撒，上帝的物當歸給上帝。」他們就很希奇他。

 

 ¹³ Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. ¹⁴ They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax^[b] to Caesar or not? ¹⁵ Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” ¹⁶ They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

¹⁷ Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”

And they were amazed at him.

     耶穌說：「凱撒的物當歸給凱撒，上帝的物當歸給上帝。」

 

     馬丁路德因這段經文產生「兩國論」（http://ll1591.blogspot.com/2017/11/blog-post_98.html）；不過對加爾文而言，祂認為上帝的主權凌駕在國家的權柄之上，上帝是掌管一切的主！

 

    所以，對主耶穌這段話，我們應該是看作為是主耶穌面對考驗的機智回應，不是基督徒要屈服於不義的政府，任其隨意對待百姓，要勇敢成為百姓之喉舌，好讓上帝的公義彰顯！

 

    也因為如此，較為不可以逃避做「受苦記號」的責任，要勇敢為上帝的公義與不義的政府建言，即使要受牢獄與喪失生命，也在所不惜！保羅說：「我們若在他死的形狀上與他聯合，也要在他復活的形狀上與他聯合；…我們若是與基督同死，就信必與他同活。」（羅馬書6:5,8）

 

    讓我們勇敢為真理而戰，在上帝國完全實現時，我們必要勝利歡呼！
