約翰福音1:1-2

1:1 太初有道，道與上帝同在，道就是上帝。

1:2 這道太初與上帝同在。

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.

Thai-chhû yû Tho, Tho lâu Song-ti thùng-chhai, Tho chhiu-he Song-ti. Kì chhai thai-chhû lâu Song-ti thùng-chhai.

    這裡的「道」就是「基督」。

    從使徒約翰這樣的論述，我們知道基督是永恆的上帝，是超越我們能想像與明白的，我們在祂面前之能承認我們是渺小與無知，只能說：「主啊！拯救我、接納我！我是乏善可陳！」

    的確我們在基督面前承認我們是算不得什麼！可是上帝卻願意透過基督來接納我們，拯救我們，我算不得甚麼啊！
