使徒行傳20:7-12

20:7 七日的第一日，我們聚會擘餅的時候，保羅因為要次日起行，就與他們講論，直講到半夜。
20:8 我們聚會的那座樓上，有好些燈燭。
20:9 有一個少年人，名叫猶推古，坐在窗臺上，困倦沉睡。保羅講了多時，少年人睡熟了，就從三層樓上掉下去；扶起他來，已經死了。
20:10 保羅下去，伏在他身上，抱著他，說：「你們不要發慌，他的靈魂還在身上。」
20:11 保羅又上去，擘餅，吃了，談論許久，直到天亮，這才走了。
20:12 有人把那童子活活地領來，得的安慰不小。

 

⁷ On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. ⁸ There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. ⁹ Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. ¹⁰ Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” ¹¹ Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. ¹² The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

    「七日的第一日」表是教會開始將敬拜時間放在一週的開始，就是所謂的主日，紀念主耶穌的復活！
