何西阿書12:10-14

12:10 我已曉諭眾先知，並且加增默示，藉先知設立比喻。

12:11 基列人沒有罪孽嗎？他們全然是虛假的。人在吉甲獻牛犢為祭，他們的祭壇好像田間犁溝中的亂堆。

12:12 從前雅各逃到亞蘭地，以色列為得妻服事人，為得妻與人放羊。

12:13 耶和華藉先知領以色列從埃及上來；以色列也藉先知而得保存。

12:14 以法蓮大大惹動主怒，所以他流血的罪必歸在他身上。主必將那因以法蓮所受的羞辱歸還他。

10 I spoke to the prophets;

it was I who multiplied visions,

and through the prophets gave parables.

11 If there is iniquity in Gilead,

they shall surely come to nothing:

 in Gilgal they sacrifice bulls;

 their altars also are like stone heaps

 on the furrows of the field.

12 Jacob fled to the land of Aram;

there Israel served for a wife,

and for a wife he guarded sheep.

13 By a prophet the Lord brought Israel up from Egypt,

and by a prophet he was guarded.

14 Ephraim has given bitter provocation;

so his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him

 and will repay him for his disgraceful deeds.

    上帝已經差派許多先知，也增加許多異象，又藉先知設立許多比喻，多方告知以色列人要悔改。上帝已經盡力保全以色列，派遣先知拯救以色列人，但以色列人終究還是不悔改，他們的行為甚至已經讓造物者受了羞辱，所以上帝必以羞辱來回報以色列人。

    同樣教會需要傳講上帝話語的傳道人，正如保羅所說：「你當竭力在上帝面前得蒙喜悅，作無愧的工人，按著正意分解真理的道。但要遠避世俗的虛談，因為這等人必進到更不敬虔的地步。」（提摩太後書2:15-16）

    牧者在教會就是要「按著正意分解真理的道」，也唯有如此，牧者在教會才有權柄！因此，牧者要在上帝的話語上下功夫，才能引導教會走在上帝的旨意中，才不至於偏離真道！這是上帝給牧者的先知性職分與事工，是無法被別人取代的！
