大衛對於上帝的話發出讚美，如經文所說：「我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話；我倚靠耶和華，我要讚美他的話。」
或許您會認為應該讚美的是上帝，怎麼會是上帝的話呢？其實上帝的話就是聖子，正如約翰福音1章1節所說：「太初有道，道與上帝同在，道就是上帝。」
這裡的「道」就是上帝的話，若照經文的敘述，上帝的話就是上帝本身。所以，讚美上帝的話就是讚美上帝！然而大衛為何要讚美上帝的話呢？因為上帝是透過祂的話來與人接觸，使人因上帝的話而更新，如同復活一般，正如大衛在這裡說的：「因為你救我的命脫離死亡。你豈不是救護我的腳不跌倒、使我在生命光中行在上帝面前嗎？」
也因為如此，鼓勵弟兄姊妹要大量讀經，用聆聽方式來讀聖經，求主幫助，讓我們都有受教者的耳朵，讓上帝的話深入我們的心裡，運行祂的大能大力，活出上帝兒女的樣式，並且切切盼望上帝國快快完全實現，讓我們真正享受永生福樂！
