9:13 愚昧的婦人喧嚷；她是愚蒙，一無所知。
9:14 她坐在自己的家門口，坐在城中高處的座位上，
9:15 呼叫過路的，就是直行其道的人，
9:16 說：誰是愚蒙人，可以轉到這裡來！又對那無知的人說：
9:17 偷來的水是甜的，暗吃的餅是好的。
9:18 人卻不知有陰魂在她那裡；她的客在陰間的深處。

16 “Let all who are simple come to my house!”
To those who have no sense she says,
17 “Stolen water is sweet;
food eaten in secret is delicious!”
18 But little do they know that the dead are there,
that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.

「智慧」會呼召人就近，「愚昧」也照樣會呼召人，並且也有台詞：「誰是愚蒙人，可以轉到這裡來！」、「偷來的水是甜的，暗吃的餅是好的。」
然而聽「愚昧」的話，下場就是落到陰間！因為「愚昧」使人遠離上帝，遠離上帝就是死亡，死亡的歸處就是陰間。所以，要救自己生命的人，一定不要聽從「愚昧」的話，不要受到引誘，歸向「愚昧」。
當然消極的方法是逃避，積極的方法就是好好聽「智慧」的話語，歸向「智慧」。那我們如何可以分別「智慧」和「愚昧」的話？就是透過聖靈的引導，如此就可以遠離「愚昧」的話。
