《箴言》的作者用對比的修辭來引導讀者，如何在人生做選擇而蒙受上帝的賜福。這對年輕人是非常重要的教導方式，也是聖經慣用的手法，讓人看見之後學習選擇適當的道路，使人走在上帝要人走的路上。
因此，讀《箴言》是要我們在世上為上帝活出祂子民的樣式，因為我們是蒙祂拯救的人，要活出上帝子民的記號。而活出上帝子民的記號，就是要在言行舉止上表現出新生的樣式。而這新生樣式的指引就是來自上帝的話語。
今天我們要存敬畏的心，從上帝的話中來活出上帝兒女的樣式，不是榮耀自己。而是要彰顯上帝的榮耀，讓人看見主耶穌，而沒有自己！
