彼得前書1:9-13

1:9 並且得著你們信心的果效，就是靈魂的救恩。

1:10 論到這救恩，那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知早已詳細地尋求考察，

1:11 就是考察在他們心裡基督的靈，預先證明基督受苦難，後來得榮耀，是指著甚麼時候，並怎樣的時候。

1:12 他們得了啟示，知道他們所傳講（原文是服事）的一切事，不是為自己，乃是為你們。那靠著從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事報給你們；天使也願意詳細察看這些事。

1:13 所以要約束你們的心（原文是束上你們心中的腰），謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候所帶來給你們的恩。

or you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that was to be yours made careful search and inquiry, inquiring about the person or time that the Spirit of Christ within them indicated when it testified in advance to the sufferings destined for Christ and the subsequent glory. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who brought you good news by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look! Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.

yîn-vi ngì-têu liá-ha liâng-su sin-sîm ke háu-kó, chhiu-he ngì-têu lìn-fùn ke tet-kiu. Lun-tó liá chṳ́n-kiu, chung siên-tî chó chhiu siòng-se chhà-kháu ngiên-kiu ko lé, kì-têu sṳt yi-ngièn Song-ti só-oi su pûn ngì-têu ke ên-tién. Kì-têu chhà-kháu, oi tî Kî-tuk ke Lìn chhai kì-têu tî-poi só chṳ́-sṳ ke, chhiu-he “Kî-tuk thin-chho̍k oi su-khú, heu-lòi yit-thin voi tet-tó yùng-kông” liá-ke yi-ngièn, voi chhai má-ke sṳ̀-chiet, nai-chúng chhìn-hìn chṳ̂-ha lòi sṳ̍t-hien. Song-ti khí-sṳ chung siên-tî, pûn kì-têu tî, kì-têu ke kûng-chok pin m̀-he vi chhṳ-kâ, he vi ngì-têu. Kì-têu só-kóng ke liá-têu sṳ, liá-ha yí-kîn thûng-ko fuk-yîm ke sṳ́-chá, yí-kho tui thiên-táng lòi ke Sṳn-Lìn, chhòn-pûn ngì-têu lé; liá-têu sṳ, lièn thiên-sṳ́ me chhin sióng-oi chhà-khon! Só-yî, ngì-têu ke sîm oi chún-phi hó-se; oi kín-siáng, chôn-sîm phan-mong Yâ-sû Kî-tuk hién-hien ke-sṳ̀ só-oi su-pûn ngì-têu ke ên-tién.

使徒彼得這段話讓我們認識到：耶穌基督救恩不是使徒發明的，是上帝早已預備，早已藉先知發表出來，只要我們閱讀舊約，我們就知道上帝在耶穌督裡設立救恩。

當然舊約聖經是指標、是地圖，真正讓人得救是上帝自己，要不是祂的愛，願意將他的愛子賜給我們，我們就無法有得救的實際。因此，我們讀聖經時，不只是文字，更是上帝深深的愛！

所以，當我們領受到這永恆的救恩之時，要將榮耀歸給上帝！也唯有上帝是唯一的拯救者，我們不可以將我們傳福音對象的信主之功勞歸給自己。若不是上帝的作為，有誰能成為耶穌基督的門徒－－上帝的兒女！
