26:51 有跟隨耶穌的一個人伸手拔出刀來，將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他一個耳朵。
26:52 耶穌對他說：「收刀入鞘吧！凡動刀的，必死在刀下。
26:53 你想，我不能求我父現在為我差遣十二營多天使來嗎？
26:54 若是這樣，經上所說，事情必須如此的話怎麼應驗呢？」
And behold, one of those who were with
Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword and struck the servant of the
high priest and cut off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back
into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot appeal to my
Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then should the Scriptures be
fulfilled, that it must be so?”

耶穌知道自己來世界的目的，就是要完成上帝拯救的旨意，要祂如祭物一般死在十字架上，好成就上帝為人贖罪的計畫，使人在上帝面前獲得赦免，底已和上帝恢復和好的關係！
也因此耶穌在此表明自己情願被抓到大祭司那裏，毫不抵抗！雖然有門徒動刀，將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他一個耳朵。他為此說明：『你想，我不能求我父現在為我差遣十二營多天使來嗎？若是這樣，經上所說，事情必須如此的話怎麼應驗呢？」
有許多時候，我們是不是不明白上帝的旨意，想用人為的方式，來成就一些事情！主耶穌這段話，是我們的提醒，讓我們看重上帝的旨意，勝過自己的想法和經驗！
