以賽亞書51:1-8

51:1 你們這追求公義、尋求耶和華的，當聽我言！你們要追想被鑿而出的磐石，被挖而出的巖穴。
51:2 要追想你們的祖宗亞伯拉罕和生養你們的撒拉；因為亞伯拉罕獨自一人的時候，我選召他，賜福與他，使他人數增多。
51:3 耶和華已經安慰錫安和錫安一切的荒場，使曠野像伊甸，使沙漠像耶和華的園囿；在其中必有歡喜、快樂、感謝，和歌唱的聲音。
51:4 我的百姓啊，要向我留心；我的國民哪，要向我側耳；因為訓誨必從我而出；我必堅定我的公理為萬民之光。
51:5 我的公義臨近；我的救恩發出。我的膀臂要審判萬民；海島都要等候我，倚賴我的膀臂。
51:6 你們要向天舉目，觀看下地；因為天必像煙雲消散，地必如衣服漸漸舊了；其上的居民也要如此死亡（如此死亡：或譯像蠓蟲死亡）。惟有我的救恩永遠長存；我的公義也不廢掉。
51:7 知道公義、將我訓誨存在心中的民，要聽我言！不要怕人的辱罵，也不要因人的毀謗驚惶。
51:8 因為蛀蟲必咬他們，好像咬衣服；蟲子必咬他們，如同咬羊絨。惟有我的公義永遠長存，我的救恩直到萬代。

Listen to me, you that pursue righteousness,

you that seek the Lord.

Look to the rock from which you were hewn,

and to the quarry from which you were dug.

Look to Abraham your father

and to Sarah who bore you;

for he was but one when I called him,

but I blessed him and made him many.

For the Lord will comfort Zion;

he will comfort all her waste places,

and will make her wilderness like Eden,

her desert like the garden of the Lord;

joy and gladness will be found in her,

thanksgiving and the voice of song.

Listen to me, my people,

and give heed to me, my nation;

for a teaching will go out from me,

and my justice for a light to the peoples.

I will bring near my deliverance swiftly,

my salvation has gone out

and my arms will rule the peoples;

the coastlands wait for me,

and for my arm they hope.

6

Lift up your eyes to the heavens,

and look at the earth beneath;

for the heavens will vanish like smoke,

the earth will wear out like a garment,

and those who live on it will die like gnats;

but my salvation will be forever,

and my deliverance will never be ended.

7

Listen to me, you who know righteousness,

you people who have my teaching in your hearts;

do not fear the reproach of others,

and do not be dismayed when they revile you.

8

For the moth will eat them up like a garment,

and the worm will eat them like wool;

but my deliverance will be forever,

and my salvation to all generations.

    約翰一書2章17節：「這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行上帝旨意的，是永遠常存。」

    正如上帝透過先知以賽亞說：「惟有我的救恩永遠長存；我的公義也不廢掉。」「惟有我的公義永遠長存，我的救恩直到萬代。」

    遵行上帝旨意的人，不是自己來的，是要靠上帝的公義和救恩。所以，人能夠信主，是因為上帝的恩典和憐憫！
