5:5 與我說話的天使出來，對我說：「你要舉目觀看，見所出來的是甚麼？」
5:6 我說：「這是甚麼呢？」他說：「這出來的是量器。」他又說：「這是惡人在遍地的形狀。」
5:7 （我見有一片圓鉛被舉起來。）這坐在量器中的是個婦人。
5:8 天使說：「這是罪惡。」他就把婦人扔在量器中，將那片圓鉛扔在量器的口上。
5:9 我又舉目觀看，見有兩個婦人出來，在她們翅膀中有風，飛得甚快，翅膀如同鸛鳥的翅膀。她們將量器抬起來，懸在天地中間。
5:10 我問與我說話的天使說：「她們要將量器抬到哪裡去呢？」
5:11 他對我說：「要往示拿地去，為它蓋造房屋；等房屋齊備，就把它安置在自己的地方。」
Then the angel who talked with me came
forward and said to me, "Lift your eyes and see what this is that is going
out." And I said, "What is it?" He said, "This is the
basket that is going out." And he said, "This is their iniquity in
all the land." And behold, the leaden cover was lifted, and there was a
woman sitting in the basket! And he said, "This is Wickedness." And
he thrust her back into the basket, and thrust down the leaden weight on its
opening.
Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold,
two women coming forward! The wind was in their wings. They had wings like the
wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. Then
I said to the angel who talked with me, "Where are they taking the
basket?" He said to me, "To the land of Shinar, to build a house for
it. And when this is prepared, they will set the basket down there on its
base."

雖然這個異象讓人看不太懂，但是我們相信：罪這件事是使人喜愛，並且沉溺在其中，以它為樂，為生活的引導。也因此人需要常常回到上帝面前，讓上帝光照出我們的樣式。
我們不是說自己好，而是我們真的需要耶穌基督的寶血和聖靈的光照，我們才能一步一步離開罪的影響，越來越有基督的形像在我們心中。這就是基督徒的成長之路。
