哈巴谷書3:8-16

3:8 耶和華啊，你乘在馬上，坐在得勝的車上，豈是不喜悅江河、向江河發怒氣、向洋海發憤恨嗎？

3:9 你的弓全然顯露，向眾支派所起的誓都是可信的。（細拉）你以江河分開大地。

3:10 山嶺見你，無不戰懼；大水氾濫過去，深淵發聲，洶湧翻騰（原文是向上舉手）。

3:11 因你的箭射出發光，你的槍閃出光耀，日月都在本宮停住。

3:12 你發忿恨通行大地，發怒氣責打列國，如同打糧。

3:13 你出來要拯救你的百姓，拯救你的受膏者，打破惡人家長的頭，露出他的腳（原文是根基），直到頸項。（細拉）

3:14 你用敵人的戈矛刺透他戰士的頭；他們來如旋風，要將我們分散。他們所喜愛的是暗中吞吃貧民。

3:15 你乘馬踐踏紅海，就是踐踏洶湧的大水。

3:16 我聽見耶和華的聲音，身體戰兢，嘴唇發顫，骨中朽爛；我在所立之處戰兢。我只可安靜等候災難之日臨到，犯境之民上來。

Was your wrath against the rivers, O Lord?

Was your anger against the rivers,

 or your indignation against the sea,

 when you rode on your horses,

 on your chariot of salvation?

You stripped the sheath from your bow,

calling for many arrows.

 You split the earth with rivers.

The mountains saw you and writhed;

the raging waters swept on;

 the deep gave forth its voice;

 it lifted its hands on high.

The sun and moon stood still in their place

 at the light of your arrows as they sped,

at the flash of your glittering spear.

You marched through the earth in fury;

 you threshed the nations in anger.

You went out for the salvation of your people,

for the salvation of your anointed.

 You crushed the head of the house of the wicked,

laying him bare from thigh to neck.

You pierced with his own arrows the heads of his warriors,

who came like a whirlwind to scatter me,

rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.

You trampled the sea with your horses,

the surging of mighty waters.

I hear, and my body trembles;

my lips quiver at the sound;

 rottenness enters into my bones;

my legs tremble beneath me.

Yet I will quietly wait for the day of trouble

to come upon people who invade us.

    哈巴谷先知再次用大自然的現況，來展現上帝的大能，讓人覺得自己在上帝面前是要謙卑的，正如16節說：「我聽見耶和華的聲音，身體戰兢，嘴唇發顫，骨中朽爛；我在所立之處戰兢。我只可安靜等候災難之日臨到，犯境之民上來。」

    然而在這樣的情況下，人只能將自己交託給上帝，讓上帝的能力透過基督來彰顯，正如保羅所說：「我為基督的緣故，就以軟弱、凌辱、急難、逼迫、困苦為可喜樂的；因我甚麼時候軟弱，甚麼時候就剛強了。」（哥林多後書12:10）

    所以，我們不要自以為剛強，反倒要靠主的能力來面對現實狀況的考驗，讓主的能力自己彰顯出來，這才是真正的榮耀上帝。
