馬太福音4:1-11

 

4:1 當時，耶穌被聖靈引到曠野，受魔鬼的試探。
4:2 他禁食四十晝夜，後來就餓了。
4:3 那試探人的進前來，對他說：「你若是上帝的兒子，可以吩咐這些石頭變成食物。」
4:4 耶穌卻回答說：「經上記著說：人活著，不是單靠食物，乃是靠上帝口裡所出的一切話。」
4:5 魔鬼就帶他進了聖城，叫他站在殿頂（頂：原文是翅）上，
4:6 對他說：「你若是上帝的兒子，可以跳下去，因為經上記著說：主要為你吩咐他的使者用手托著你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。」
4:7 耶穌對他說：「經上又記著說：『不可試探主─你的上帝。』」
4:8 魔鬼又帶他上了一座最高的山，將世上的萬國與萬國的榮華都指給他看，
4:9 對他說：「你若俯伏拜我，我就把這一切都賜給你。」
4:10 耶穌說：「撒但（就是抵擋的意思，乃魔鬼的別名），退去吧！因為經上記著說：當拜主－你的上帝，單要事奉他。」
4:11 於是，魔鬼離了耶穌，有天使來伺候他。

 

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. ² After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. ³ The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

⁴ Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

⁵ Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. ⁶ “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
    and they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

⁷ Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

⁸ Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. ⁹ “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’^[e]”

¹¹ Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

    主耶穌是上帝取人的樣式在是世界上生活，在人看起來是人，而魔鬼也將祂當成人，所以會來試探主耶穌，正如牠面對第一亞當一樣，認為主耶穌也會像亞當一般，受試探之後就犯罪了！

 

    而主耶穌也再受試探的時候，更是以人性來面對試探，正如祂在受約翰之洗的時候一樣，是以人的樣式來面對！然而用人的方式來面對時，完全不用祂超自然的權柄，單單用聖經的話，祂不斷的宣告：「經上記著說：…」！

 

    祂這樣做是要為我們建立榜樣，要讓我們效法祂，在魔鬼試探的時候，要堅信上帝的話，用上帝的話來對付魔鬼的作為，這是非常重要的方法和原則！亞當和夏娃在這上面失敗，就是沒有堅持上帝的話！

 

    在面對試探時，不是我多剛強或多敬虔，依靠自己必定失敗！要憑著上帝的話，我們才能勝過惡者！因為惡者只會用謊言來影響我們，然而上帝的話安定在天，永不改變！正如保羅所說：「聖經都是上帝所默示的（或譯：凡上帝所默示的聖經），於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，叫屬上帝的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事。」（提摩太後書3:16-17）

 

    而使用上帝的話，就會為我們建立堅強的信心，使徒彼得也說：「務要謹守，警醒。因為你們的仇敵魔鬼，如同吼叫的獅子，遍地遊行，尋找可吞吃的人。你們要用堅固的信心抵擋他，因為知道你們在世上的眾弟兄也是經歷這樣的苦難。」(彼得前書5:8-9)

 

    另外我們在受魔鬼的試探中，也要心存盼望：「忍受試探的人是有福的，因為他經過試驗以後，必得生命的冠冕；這是主應許給那些愛他之人的。」(雅各書1:12)

 

    而主耶穌勝過試探之後，「魔鬼離了耶穌，有天使來伺候他」！讓我們也靠上帝的話勝過魔鬼的試探，而得著從上帝來的榮耀！
